We are in the news this morning a plane crash into two homes in Sanford there R injuries.. and the news R saying they might be also fatalities.

I thought yesterday was bad, today is downright brutal. I usually go through four 16oz. bottles of water a day, today I went through four bottles of water, just this morning alone.................

Andy - just keep on drinking the water and stay hydrated. When you get home put something cool and relaxing on and put your feet up on the lounge chair and enjoy the A/C. RELAX!!!!!

Hey don't forget I fell "up the stairs"

Been there do that...

Sprained my ankle really bad about 1.5 yrs ago by falling off a curb (yes "off" a curb). I was carrying a large box at the time and underestimated where edge was i think. I nearly bent my foot in two that time...

It started swelling up right away but i had to get up, put my stuff back in the box and still hobble/carry it to my car and drive to an appt for a Planning Dept submission.

In the county i used to work in, submissions were only by appointment and if you missed it, it would be another 3-4 weeks...

Ankle was purple by the time i got back to the office but luckily someone had an ice pack in the fridge.

I've also fallen down my front steps one day while we were having a yard sale. That leg i fell on was purple for a month after. I told people my DH hit me with the car.

Oh, I like him too. Loved him on OLTL. But he's not my free pass. From the very beginning Mark knew/knows my other boyfriend is Johnny. He'll even call me if he finds a JD movie on. What a sweetie!

I like the old Todd too. I never knew what happened to him. I will have to check ATWT.

I know alot of women like Richard Gere.(not my type). He took one of my friends to the Senior Prom back in 19***. We grew up in the same neighborhood back home in Syracuse. His parents still live there and we can see his parents house from my house. Whenever he is home which is quite often he is always friendly.

My favorite is Dermot Mulroney.

Good moring! Another hot one today, so take care.

Well life has taken a turn for the better. Closed on my dad's house last night. Everything went well. The stupid original document that I couldn't find and was stressing out about was never asked for!!! At the end of the closing, my agent and I went to give the new owners the keys. The wife and I took one look at each other and we said, "I know you!" We did, she is a cashier at one of the gas stations I go to! Of couse I said, "Wow! It's a small world!" (Too much Disney on the brain!) Freaked everyone out.

So everyone all together now "It's a small world after all! It's a small world after all! It's a small world after all! It's a small, small world! " Betcha won't get that out of your head for the rest of the day.

Daniel was two at the time and Jaclyn was 6 and that is the only song they sang "ALL" the time. while we were there. They thought it was cute! "NOT"! Whenever we go to Magic Kingdom we have to do the ride over and over but now with his favorite character always being Donald Duck we now have Mickey's Philharmagic!

On our first cruise, we took the whole family. How pathetic was it to see the bored faces of my kids. They thought the nightime entertainment was lame. Oh well you can't convert everyone. The grandkids and DH and I had a great time all around.

We took all of our kids on the 10nt Southern - it was the first cruise/DCL trip for 23dd & 26ds and they had a BLAST!!!! DS just knew that he was going to HATE it and I think he had the best time of everyone! LOL!

DD's fiance won't even consider anything Disney! She has always loved Disney so, I can't figure out why she would even consider him! LOL!

My draft account just got CLEANED OUT by a fraudulant / stolen card - they used the account number of an old gold card that had a bad magnetic strip which I cannot use - and I've replaced it with a platinum card pulling from the same checking account. When they issued the new platinum card I thought the bank cancelled that gold card .... but I guess they did not.

I am so sorry to hear that! We usually keep a good size balance in ours .... we may rethink that!!! I never check our balance online.... I'll have to find out if dh does.....

I hope they restore your money soon!

Last August we were in DL. On early opening I took the two grandkids (then 1 and 3) on It's a Small World while everyone else hit the roller coaster. It was so empty that the ride operator kept asking "Do you want to go around again?" to which my granddaughter (3) kept saying YES! Well to make a long story short, I think I rode around 7 or 8 times straight until we saw her parents standing on the bridge over the ride telling her it was time to go on the carousel. The only good point was that I did not have to try to make these knees climb in and out of the ride carrying the two of them 7 or 8 times. My granddaughter still remembers the "real long" Small World in California. For the rest of that day and into my dreams that song kept reappearing over and over.

Something to Consider​

When they issued the new platinum card I thought the bank cancelled that gold card .... but I guess they did not.

I noticed something wrong on sunday nite when a large transaction showed pending preceeded by a few odd $1 transactions. I routinely check my account - and these transactions immediately stood out. I went in to my local branch today to enquire as to my options on suspicious and/or disputed transactions... they said wait till they complete posting. One of the 3 transactions posted tonite as a FASHION ACCESSORY store in AURORA (NY). I called bank security and they isolated the sale to my old physically non-functional gold card. Odd.. eh?

So - they say when the other $1 transactions post then I can file to investigate and possibly/probably get my money back. Well - they said since the card used was recorded as replaced but not cancelled - and the business on the transaction is in NY while I'm in California - and since I have NOT used this card for several months they are very likely to restore the funds at the conclusion of the investigation. Who knows, eh? This should take only 3-5 buiness days. HOWEVER, If it should exceed 15 (or 10?) days to investigate then they will restore the funds to my account on a provisional basis. I am encouraged with the fortunate circumstances I have in expecting full recovery relatively soon.

They have cancelled my old gold card.

Alicia tells me she just read about how TJ Max and Mervyns recently had TWO YEARS of transaction records stolen! And that the thieves are working their way through the old records to steal from accounts. The article she read said the thieves "ping" the accounts with $1 transactions to see if they are active then go for hits of varying size - sometimes they try to sneak funds out slowly - and other times they go for the whole enchalada.

We've had friends who had large sums in their draft accounts (mid 5 figures and high 4 figures) - and the bank did NOT restore most of the funds. I can't say I know all the circumstances and fine details - but this sort of news makes me much more cautious. I've always maintained relatively small balances as a result of the prior knowledge of problems from friends - and now with this attempted theft - I am glad I worked to keep my balances modest. Doin' so has always been a bit of a chore... but now it may have saved me from risking more.

I think we'll NEVER know exactly how they got my old gold card account number. It is very curious that it was this particular account. However, in the next few days I'm going to have all my account numbers changed and passwords reset on everything. What a pain!

This is NOT the first time we've had account fraud attempted - and I find this continuing activity annoying to say the least! Maybe this news will help you avoid real losses some day.

I'll be traveling while juggling the Queen Latifah and Pagent of the Masters concerts this week along with swim practice and gymnastics ... and so on. Combined with the ongoing repair of my personal notebook - this obviously means I'll have minimal access to the web for a few days. I'll catch up (maybe) next week!

And on another note - I just repaired my external hard drive - WOO HOO - and I'll be combing thorugh my image archieves soon and maybe backing it up to a redundant (RAID) drive... that is once I acquire one! Which I'll be shopping for shortly!

Oh Tom I'm so sorry to hear this! You know, I used to pop into the bank every 4-6 months and ask for a new debit card to prevent this sort of thing. But since then, I've gotten lack about it. They way I figured it, places like Target, Home Depot and Best Buy store your credit/debit card number in their systems which is why you can just bring in that same card--without a receipt--and still get a refund, because the system remembers your card number and can link the item's UPC and your card to the specific transaction. Handy for returns. But also handy if the transaction database is penetrated.

Remember, if your card is Visa or MC based, then your bank should be honoring their zero liability policy established by Visa/MC. Sounds like they are going to but they're going to take time to do it.

On a happy note, congrats on the hard drive recovery. I hooked up an external hdd (Western Digital MyBook) to the network so we can offload everything (photos, files etc) so that the next time one of the computers needs to go in for servicing or dies, all I need to do is re-install the software rather than trying to backup tons of files and such. I had a catastrophic drive failure years ago. Used GetDataBack Data Recovery Software and and it recovered everything from the hard drive...including file fragments from stuff that was deleted but not secure wiped! Well worth the money ($75 at the time) and way cheaper than hard drive recovery companies ($120 per Mb restored)!!

I know what you mean. Now that my precocious 2 yr old nephew is now 14 when I bought my new cell phone. he programmed "that" song onto my phone so now when he calls me I know it is him. I would like to throw the phone but that would cost me money. I know I could get it changed back to a regular ring but that song is a bond between us. I do love him dearly!!!

By "draft" account you mean a credit card connected to a bank account (e.g. Visa Check Card or ATM Visa)?

Word of advice to those out there, check credit card fraud laws in your state. Most states have a limit on your liability for fraudulent credit charges (NJ its $50), but the agreements with the ATM/Check Card are that its a "cash" transaction and the bank doesn't have to give you anything back.

Always safer to transact on-line and other places with a true credit card than one connected to your bank account.

My DSIL(the lawyer said) told me to never sign up anything that can get at you checking account. I love my charge cards anyway!!!

today..i chose to be happy! ...{even though i must go to work-

dwatts.] however, truth be known...i am living a much better life...
from learning "the tools of my trade". * what i used to take for granted,
is now a reflection process for "apprication". i should be living well,
after all i am no spring chicken. giving back...there something good,
in the ways an extended family passed on their values and secrets to
happy living. we are not doing this today! i can't get over how so many
are lving miserable livies ...by their own doings. dangerous people..are
young adults and predators...[ i support cnn shows catching these
adults....and there should be more. noticed how some are holding
positions-like priests/ teachers/ & so forth]. wheni was 18, i cannot
imagined any interests in a 13 y/o. when i had kids, me & the schools
went around & around. our seniors ..need to provide feedback to
the nex generation....why do society avoids mental health, is beyond
common sense. reality is: physical health is about how long a person
will live..while mental health ..is about finding happiness and fulfillments.
woow..there are basic principles that should be guiding individual's
choices..toward reaching their goals in life...& i am saying ,the ways
the current role models..are not the ways to go. we need to get back
toward the basics..alot things that our extended families used to be
passing on.

while i have made many mistakes....i also been bless by having mentors,
redirecting and educating me...then having to work in mental health,
has opened new doors thru new knowledge. that's where enpowerment
begins...grasping an applying ways of thinking..to imporve ..one's
choices..for finding treasures...what i think is # 1? finding someone to
share/approicate the values of life. sweet!

all our dcl cruises, have had this objective...to celebrate the good things
our family...gives us on our daily routines. i have share some of our
life experiences...good & bad--it wasn't a happy feeling looking down
and seeing that diamond missin? ...& my lil' miss flame, has expressed
different opinions....so you're right-micmse, she will "re-tell", * but
the reality will be the same..we do things together!

where this comin from... , on the cruise boards...there's
a chat over getting these cruises..intersting ,someone mentioning
green eye monster...personally~ i don't like labelling/or labels....nor
do i think..miscommuications would be uncommon..for a group..this
large....& its been my experiences, that all problems can/do have
solutions...alot of clients asked for happiness..the best i can ver
do , is show them what makes me..theirs may be totally different.
you should know,i do not beleive in a person being totally mental ill,
just having diffculties with functionoing levels..nor anyone is immune.
* and i think our new generation..need the older generation input.
