We... about the chicken florintine - I over-cooked the chedder one and the other two were ALMOST overcooked. SO I learned something - DON'T OVERCOOK the chicken florntine!!!!

And on the bicycle crash - NO, it's not why my old friends call me (sometimes) Captain Crash. And... the thing that made it tolerable was that I was at least in a charitable fund raiser ride when it happened. I still collected $2,500+ for the charity - and my insurance settlement left me with some money after expenses... nothing really for P&S - but I ended up losing my job (they technically reassigned me to something I would resign from when I returned) ... and since I was between jobs I went to Europe for 3.5 weeks.

And now - speaking of CRASHES.... my main notebook computer dies again last nite - I have an OS file that became corrupted and I'm forced to use my spouses' computer at nite - but now I'm off to visit my computer exert friend. Maybe he'll resusitate my notebook - and as of now I am in the market for a replacement notebook... maybe. So many things to do - I gotta drive into town now - 45-60 minutes to my friends house and another 45-60 minutes back. Plus repair and socializing time.

Adios friends til next I have reliable access to the web...

Cheers,

Tom, How do you kill so many computers????:confused3

Bike races aside...his name IS CaptainCrash after all! :lmao:

But seriously, Tom, do you have any sort of protection plan or extended support service for your machines?! At least you'll get your money's worth out of them.

On a side note...I spent some 2-3 hours last night trying to divest my new laptop of the bloatware that it came with. That Mac commercial is sooooo right! I used to build my own computers because (a) it was cheaper and (b) you wouldn't get all the carpware on your system. But I haven't found a way of building my own laptop from components. Even the build-to-order systems ask if you want MS Works or WordPerfect Office etc.

:goodvibes ..thanks for the kind thoughts....:dog: , it's amazing
how our pets become so much family members.

...:confused3 , have many have retired? & completely from the cruise too.

...:confused3 area 51 aliens versus reality? are we talking cpt. crash?

..did you see what he did to his bicycle?

...tom, ... i'm no good at computering, but i like supporting
whoever, helping others...

i see others disers signed up for this cruise..but not interacting here..

 , however, i think all cruises are families driven...so i can
understand...keeping agendas separate....& from my other cruises,
i seen the disers having their fun...say what you want...the people
we saw, were the most polite, best interactors , and added more to
the cruise atmosphere, overall . but i think this is probably one of the
most unusally cruises...for any family, to invest in. we have never
cancelled a cruise but this is a long, long time out. i also got to be a
lil'careful..because my lil'miss is the master planner, & she has this
temper...:scared: . :confused3 , by the behind scenes, except,
i think some have made choices and some do "jumped" on others...
* sometimes..we you see others going out of heir way to avoid you..
it can be just as revealing. i have no problems with others not wanting
to socialize or even to say hello. but it is has been my experience to have
run across some who thought they were "coy"..they are not! again,
its been over whelming those not on this board...

as for me?..i think i'll be going with the "rugby looks", hope it's not
anything too shocking....besides cwearing nuthing, reduces the
things i need to pack, laundry :laundy: , and sorta leaves lots of room
for starting something....

:lmao: .

Just out of curiosity - I checked Orbitz for air fares from LA to AUK and it runs $1,074 on United from Sept 1-10. I think this is not too bad - but that is also $4296 in are fare alone for the 4 of us... and it is also a ton of air miles too. I need to search a little more to evaluate what might be the best approach for us.

It sounds like a split visit to a couple of destinations makes sense - IE mix in a few days in Australia perhaps. I'll have to look into this further. ;)

It sure adds up when you have to add the family onto the tab... I just have to pay for me so that makes it a little easier on the wallet.

One thing is to ensure you have as much time as possible as you loose almost an entire day travelling with one thing or another going that distance and time zones.

The sooner someone invents a teleportation machine the better - beam me up Scotty.

Or a few days at WDW, fly to Paris, visit DL paris, fly to Tokyo, visit Tokyo Disney then to Auckland.

I hadn't thought about that particular itinerary and although it has its merits, the flight from from Tokyo to Auckland is about the same as LA to Auckland.

However if we are adding park hoping to the mix how about WDW -> Paris DL -> Tokyo DL -> HK DL -> Auckland -> DL - actually how about we just skip Auckland altogether? ;)

I have a better one, hope you can handle this. Just this last winter, I was checking in supplies at work(school cafeteria), I had a case of oranges in my hands. I turned to set it down on the stainless steel counter, tripped over a box on the floor and managed to get my rather "ample"left b**b caught between the case of oranges and the steel table. :scared1: I bruise very easily and did I mention that I take blood thinners. It was the loveliest shade of Maroon for about 3 weeks, then went to purple.

I think I will spend some quality time at the pool, in a lounge chair :rotfl2:

Done that with fingers, but not my..... OUCH!!!!:scared:

I think you're right, the pool and a lounger are the best place.

Hey wait....that says Naked RUBY Tournament. I thought we weren't going to see any raw jewels until we got to Cartegena???

OK so I was in a hurry. Had this planned since before I left home. And you never know what kind of jewels we find on the beach after this tournament.

SO what kind of excursions should all of us "graceful" people do?? ;)

I don't know, but keep FAR away from me! :lmao: I joke! I joke! :goodvibes

I did not want to scare anyone off taking a zipline.:rolleyes1 But now that you mention.......I was returning from one of the islands on the 10 Wonder Cruise waiting to go through DCL line to check back on the boat. The man behind me had a brusied face and was all bandaged up.:rolleyes1 I said what happened to you.:confused3 He said he was ziplining and instead of hitting the platform with his feet......he used his face to hit the support beam of the platform.:scared1: :scared: :scared1: End of story.

Okay well I don't think I would've attempted it anyway, but now I KNOW I won't be attempting it!
