We were scoping it out for our Mini Meet in Sept and looking to see where best to hang out. I had the Tuna melt and DH had the Original which is Roast beef, horseradish sauce and cheddar. They are soooo good. Infact when we got home it was around 7:30 we never had dinner. WE were still full.

I'll have to try the roast beef next time, it sounds yummo! I've tried the turkey & I like their meatballs.

Do you think it will work okay for your mini meet?

Actually they have a few areas where we can sit, depending on how many show up. DH and I may have to save some seats:rolleyes: Since we will be meeting later than lunch I don't think it will be so bad. Then again there is always Ghiradellis

Hi Paula,
I'm about to go to bed but just stopped to check in - perhaps a slight addiction here - Anyway - so fun to say hello to you. I am so looking forward to meeting you. Both DH & I are hoping to visit both NZ & AUS.
So, how are you doing?

I hope you and your DH do get a chance to visit both NZ and Australia - I adore both countries.

We are actually off to Sydney for a long weekend, the first weekend in August - I can't wait - Sydney has the best shopping... I mean culturally interesting exhibitions. :rotfl:

We are actually going because there are a series of Opera's on and I've made a pact with my DMIL that if I go to the Opera she will come to Disney. I've promised to go with an open mind... and wallet and she will do the same. I think she truely expected me to say no but she can't back out now.

I'm really looking forward to it as its usually a lot warmer in Sydney than here and I'm totally over winter and we aren't even half way through! Even if its just a few days, it will be nice to be warm.

Hope to chat again soon!

Wow - this is exciting - I get to talk to you agan!!
Oh - I do so hate winter - except when I want to ski!! I guess I just so don not like being cold!!!
We have decided that we will go on an adventure/vacation once a year. So we are planning - the only places where we would like to visit but are hesitant is the Middle East. So - we take out the map & make a 5 year travel plan! And you know - the planning and anticiaption is really fun!!
Have fun in Sydney!!!

I don't ski but the skifields are only about 1.5 hours drive and they had a great day for it today. It didn't get over 4C outside today but it was a beautiful sunny day. I spent the day listing items to sell on a NZ site called Trademe which is like Ebay for NZ'ers. I have to pay for these trips some how LOL

I love to travel and I have 4 trips lined up at the moment with Sydney being the next and the Repo cruise being the last. I love to visit exotic places and experience different cultures so my Mum and I are going to Cambodia in October - we went to Vietnam in 04 and loved it so have high hopes.

My Mum and I are then also finally getting back to Hawaii in March for an 11 night cruise on NCL - we aren't expecting it to be up to Disney standard but looking at it as simply a hotel to get us between the islands.

My partner Robert is doing his own trip to South India with his Mum and then on to England in December for a white Christmas/New Years with his sister and her family.

I've not been to the Middle East except Egypt but I wouldn't hesitate to go. Many people I know, won't go to the US as its "too dangerous". I'm keen to get to Turkey and Jordan to see Petra. Haven't got those to the top of the holiday list yet - I find the more I travel, the longer my list gets.

WEll I was in the Pirate room at Downtown Disney, had lunch at EArl of Sandwich but alas no Cake! Sorry

I'm meeting the kids and grandkids at MCO on Thursday and heading into Disney for a couple of days to kick off their annual visit. Although DH and I stop in on his days off, there is nothing like going to the parks with the little ones. Hopefully the two year old will have gotten over his fear of the characters. It will be nice to have pictures with two smiling grandchildren and not one happy and one trying to get as far away from the character as possible. Both daughters have requested an early lunch break at Earl of Sanwich.

My youngest daughter goes to the Science Fiction Convention every August and was just talking earlier today about going to the one that is going to be held in Australia in 2010. She is really hoping to make a long trip of it. It is one of the places she has always wanted to go. What is the temperature like in Sydney in August. My DH was in Sydney for R&R for three days in 1968 and still talks about it.

We moved to Florida three years ago because DH had had enough of the cold. He used to work outside in all weather and the winters in Pennsylvania finally got to him. I think after three years his bones have finally completely warmed up. Hope you get a chance to warm up soon.

I was not going post anymore but it isn’t fair to make people read the aftermath comments from my post. I agree that this should stop now and I would appreciate it if those who feel they need to make a comment about my post from earlier to please feel free to PM me with their comments or let it drop and just make sure to avoid me on the cruise if you feel the need.

MR I tried to PM you but your box is full and although I wont put you on ignore I will respect your wish and just not bother you. I see how things get out of hand fast and would rather not be the cause of this thread closing. I received 6 Pm’s tonight that supported what I said, one did mention a few things that they did not agree on and I respect that. Anyway thank you for letting me know I am not alone!! And now I see why they don’t speak up!

Dh_chrisva I am sorry that you felt the need to say something that got the ***** I am sure it was umm colorful. As for me starting trouble, pleaseeee I am usually the one who stops the trouble, like showing people how to ignore the ST’s in chat, but I will not be remember by that I will be remember by a post I made that I now know will haunt me for the next 13 months!

Enough about that, again please let my comment drop in public and beat me up over it in private!

Good night everyone! Hopefully tomorrow will bring better postings!

I discovered yesterday that I am IN the museum...sorta...
I was good enough to make the big competitions, but never good enough to place (lots of 4th in Nationals and silver medals from smaller competitions...) Anyway, when we were ther yesterday, there is a 1984 Nationals program in a display case, it is not open to my page in the display, but I'm in there!

I haven't downloaded it yet, but DH took a picture of me next to a dress on display because I competed against that dress!

Totally cheesy, I know, but I though it was fun.

:rotfl:

Cool - Can I call her and tell her that I know somebody that skated against that dress? :rotfl2: Please post picture when you get a chance. As I mentioned, I drove past the museum, even the hotel but haven't made it inside yet. I betcha my MIL knows the dress - how funn - I will have to e-mail it to her to tell her about the 6 Degrees of Separation! Although - she'll probably break out into her version of 6 Degrees of Separation and I'm afraid that she is about 5 degrees closer than I am! :lmao:

MIL is/was an ice skater. She has skated many years in Paramount which is a local rink that has been graced with many a star. She has gotten my youngest into it but she is more of a dabbler. I have a niece in Scotland that is a avid competition skater but not professional as far as I know. When it became a competition between the two - I stronly discouraged my DD from entering into that world and instead turned her onto to sewing, designing and now sports since she is in high school! :scared1: Gosh that sounds so weird - my last high schooler!

Strange but good in a weird sort of way! :)

M?

Forgot to mention that I found your blog and read it last night - How exciting! I love that you can do this - but Malley sounds like she/he is giving you all a run for your money! :rotfl2:

I know what yo mean though - with our upcoming Med cruise looming so near - (We leave on the 25th) I had to take our girls to get their shots, vaccinations, flea medications and even discovered that the "little nibbling" my Isis has been doing to her rear pay was actually a small but stubborn little cut in between her toes in the webbing that was having a hard time healing. So, once there - got scolded for not having brought the dogs in for their annual dental checkup.

I promptly made it and took them back the next day. I was mildy surprised when they only charged me $164 for 2 dogs! Yup - ::yes:: I had to double check, I have been hearing horror stories of up to $500 per dog. My girls got tubed, put to sleep (temporarily) and then teeth scaled, gums cleaned and luckily no cavities. DOOESN'T THAT SOUND WEIRD? No cavities! :woohoo: So now they are up to date on their bordetella, parvo and other neccessary shots to go into boarding. They will be there for 3 weeks - come out for 14 days and then go back in for 4 days - I hope they don't hate me. :sad2:

Oh well, guess my fluffing to distract is only working to put me to sleep.

Anyone else have thoughts on doggy dental work? BTW - I was informed Chloe would not be needing braces. :lmao:

Thanks Roger--I have had plenty of those vacations where I need one after. We are relaxing and enjoying the beauty around us. Tomorrow we leave for Kauai for a week. The real world will be back for us then.:)

Paula, I too would love to visit NZ some day - but I just don't know if we'll get to it prior to the EBPC repo. However, maybe in 2009 some time we can swing it! It's one of the major destinations which we have not visited yet.

May I ask what sort of OTHER destinations are coupled with a NZ visit - besides Australia I imagine? And would you suggest what form of in country transit - IE, would you say the trains are good... or coach system .... or I've seen RV renting as something to consider - or would you say it makes sense to rent a car and drive from point to point? Are bed and breakfasts common - and is there a common discount angle - IE, a discount service / book or AAA for the locals to snag discounts?

I kno - for someone who is not planning any visits soon - or seriously considering a visit until 2009 (!!!) I sure do have a LOT of questions....

What can I say ... I'm a curious cat...
