I am a TOTAL Lurker on this thread. I love the pics and the "banter" among alot of you

DH and I are so looking forward to this cruise! 15 nights on the Magic is a Dream Come True!

We went on our first Disney Cruise last Sept (Eastern 7 night) and have been to WDW 4 times. We are planning on spending a couple of nights at D'Land (where I have visited over 50 times) before the cruise with our kids and grandkids, but it will only be the 2 of us on the cruise

Can't wait to meet you all!

See we have something very in common. I had my surgery and radiation 6 years ago from this past May. The radiation does take a lot of energy out of you. I dodged the same bullet too! Early detection is the best way to fight the big "C".

How long before you get your energy back? The pamphlet they gave me said it could take weeks

Ahhhh the mark of an East Coaster!

I was floored when DW explained that her best friend and her brother were living in the house they were born in, or that her parents had been living in the same house since she was 2 months old! I think the longest time ever ever spent in one dwelling was 4 years and the longest time spent in the same town/zip code is 6 years! I guess when you're a military brat, you just expect the next change of station to be just around the corner.

On July 30th, Hazel and I will be in our house 27 years.

Also, our backyard meets up with the backyard of a house that I lived in when I was younger. I'm a hometown boy, but hopefully, that will be changing when I retire.

but i've been subscribed to this thread since before dcl was even open for ressies?? i just don't get to post here anywhere near what everyone else does....unless you count a hello every now and then....

I really don't post nearly as much anymore. We all will get more active closer to the final payment and the release of the excursions.

Anyway, after watching the awesome Macys fireworks today, DH wanted to know if I still had the tapes of the fireworks on the Wonder. Silly man, need he ask? So just to help celebrate the holiday I sent them over to Youtube. The first one 05 was the first Pirate Night we had.Frankly I am glad they changed it. Way too boring and the music during the show was cheesy in my opinion. I thought it was way better in 06. You be the judge.

Hi Deanna & Welcome!!
This is small world - you're in Hollister - my family has a small place on Hy 25 just south of the Pinnacles gate.
I won't have time to get down there for quite awhile - I'm going on the WB transatlantic repo this Aug. & have too much to do before I go.
But, the next time I'm heading down there I'll let you know & perhaps we can meet up in Hollister.
BTW - this is just a Great group of folks. It really feels as if we're an extended family.
How many kids & grandkids do you have? My grandkids are DGD 13, DGS 12, and DGS 6. Only my DD & 6 yr.old DGS are going on the PC cruise.

I miss everyone!!!! Haven had time to post, but have been lurking on occasion just trying to keep up. (its impossible)
And I just keep missing Friday Night Chat.... I remember on Saturday. That is my life story, a day late and a dollar short.

Hope all is well with every one. I will miss tomorrow night chat too, heading down the shore. The boys are down at my moms since day camp doesnt start until Monday. She will meet me at my cousins tomorrow and we will be staying there overnight. Hopefully the weather will be better this weekend.

I just completed deleting all email addresses from this cruise group from our email account and checked to make sure that all of the emails from everyone regarding their information were deleted as well. The birthday calendar has been deleted too.

I gotta hit the road any minute now - here are a few photos from this past weekend - Yosemite - one of the families that came with us - the Dad I've known since elementary school (about 35-39 years!)! Below are some sample pictures ... many of them do not do justice to actually seeing the vistas with your own eyes. OR rather, these little digital images are not high enough resolution here to be candy to the eyes as if you were there...

Below left this was one of the few times I've EVER seen a deer - let alone this close - I was shooting with a 35MM lense with on the DSLR convverted into a 53mm lense perspective which is near normal visison (IE, no magnification or wide angle distorting).

These photos belowwere taken in Miraposa GFrove with me kneeling on the ground and the buck walked slowly and calmly up to within 2-3 feet of ME!!! WOW!

Below is supper cooked on a BBQ gas grill at our hotel (steaks, chicken legs, cesar salad, corn and rice. On the right is Alicia running around with Julianna near the Park Visitor Center.

We've stayed at POP a few times & I think it's great. My only concern was the food court got a little too crowded at during peak dining hours. It was tough just grab a coffee some mornings with my refillable mug. My kids are happy no matter where we stay as long as it's WDW. They've never complained about any place. I've only complained at CBR & that's because our room was 20 miles from the food court. Okay well it seemed that way when I was staggering for my coffee. Can you tell coffee is important to me?

Yep I like the way DH thinks too. Did you ever see that old vitamin commercial? "I think I'll keep him!"

I will miss a lot of chat! I wonder if I should bring the lap top? Nah I don't think DH will go for that!

I like staying at Pop Century and All Star Movies. I have stayed at GF once and Polynesian. I usually stay at the value resort so I can spend my money at Arribas Bros. and World of Disney!!!!!

My apologies for anyone still waiting for a website account. I had intended to finish sending accounts to everyone who had requested one and mailed in all of their information on Tuesday, but then we had the discussions on who should have access, who should not have access, how much access should they have, who has killed who with axes, who has killed axes, and who is or is not acting like an axe, that I lost momentum. Yesterday was a family day, so I will try to get IDs out to those who have sent in all of their information and have requested an ID by the end of the week.

Please bear with me as I am doing this all alone right now until I can get to a point where others can help.

We're still trying to figure out the access to personal info bit and won't post any personal info until I have straightened that out.
