Just a quick "HI" to everyone!!!

I hope to have more time to post in September when I'm back from the cruise & life gets back to normal. Well - as normal as life ever gets!!

Among other projects - I'm obedience traning my 7 mo. old German Shepherd puppy - my 80 lb puppy!!!! He is very smart - but he is so still a baby. His attention span is still really short. I also have some sessions booked w/a trainer as when I get back in Sept. I'm hoping to take him to "graduate" classes.
This is the only fun project I've got going for the summer!!

It's been somewhat hot here also - but San Francisco has wonderful air conditioning called fog!!

DD Lori was at DL last week & a woman in line fainted from the heat.

Take care everyone,

Thanks for the aniversary wishes --- we've been together for 25 years - legally for 20!
This is the 2nd tme around - among other things we figured out how important it is to be friends and to support one anothers goals, hopes & dreams.
As with everything in life - its a work in progress!

Even with the fog, it's still been pretty warm the past week (for me anyway - I forgot how to deal with heat once we moved to CA anything above about 72* is more than I like). Could be worse I suppose. Might even be why people move here from places where they actually have weather...

I think we will be still waitng for the pirate by the time your game is done.:goodvibes

I say we split a can of green spray paint or hire an Indian rain dancer . . .

DH just turned on the sprinkler AGAIN. It's getting pricey! Would rather save for the cruise then give it to the city for water . . .

Oh - I agree it has been hot - I'm over in Marin & we've actually hit 3 digits. But, the fog cools it off quite a lot. I enjoy heat - just not humdity.
Our family ranch (small one) is south of San Jose - south of Hollister and it is over 100 almost all summer.

That's funny...that's the cake I found and was trying to post on here. That's why I told Megan to have "oceans of fun". GMTA! :thumbsup2

Hi.. good evening every one..

Belated Happy Anniversary Mark & Cheryl and Chris and Paul !!!!

Sounds to me like we should all be flying under the same Freak Flag!! "Klutzes of the East Bound Panama Canal." ;)

At least I do not feel alone being so clumsy:yay: :yay: Lets here from the pirates:confused3 Are just us wenches Klutzes:confused:
:rolleyes1

count me in too as a klutz.. keep tripping over my own feet and breaking toes..walk into things and trip over anything that is vaguely in my path..

Mine is a beautiful deep shade of green -- so unusual for July..... BUT, we've had so much rain/flooding that the rest of my yard looks terrible -- the yard guys have been unable to do any of the work that we were going to have done this summer. Remove one tree, plant another, dig up the two flower beds, new dirt, replant, etc......

I can't complain since many people in my county have had horrible flooding and several have lost their lives and homes.

Bugs are terrible because of all the standing water....

Happy B'day Megan.. what a truely touching story. glad she pull through, she is obviously a frighter ..

Hi stephanie.. how are you?

we have had some storms yesterday and today but nothing like TX has gotten..

Look what I just found at Ticker Factory.. a pirate countdown thing..

The good thing I found after having radiation treatments is I do not burn anymore.:yay: I uses to burn ,blister and peel all summer long.:sad2: Now I can be out in the sun for 8 hours and just get a nice tan. I can give any other explanation that the radiation I received.:confused3

How are you doing??? Getting a little stronger everyday??:flower3:
[/QUOTE]

Actually yeah:thumbsup2
I went for a walk tonight with DH and was able to keep up, 30 minutes:banana:

I was warned to be really careful with sun exposure if I remember correctly:confused3
I usually tan ok, except for my nose:confused:

Maybe I'll have a tan nose after our trip to WDW next week:woohoo:

DH and I are trying to lose weight now. I'm dreaming about burgers and pizza:cloud9:

I see dollar signs everytime I water my flowers.:scared1: We just gave up on the grass.:headache:

I love San Francisco  but I was there in June and almost froze to death. I had to go buy a fleece to wear at night.:rolleyes1 I have been in Southern California lots of times. I never realized there is a huge difference in temperatures.

Look what I just found at Ticker Factory.. a pirate countdown thing..

I have that one too.:thumbsup2 I put a snail on mine because the time is going soooo slow til the cruise.

Congrats

That is a good start.:lmao: :lmao:

Been there do that...

Sprained my ankle really bad about 1.5 yrs ago by falling off a curb (yes "off" a curb). I was carrying a large box at the time and underestimated where edge was i think. I nearly bent my foot in two that time...

It started swelling up right away but i had to get up, put my stuff back in the box and still hobble/carry it to my car and drive to an appt for a Planning Dept submission.

In the county i used to work in, submissions were only by appointment and if you missed it, it would be another 3-4 weeks...

Ankle was purple by the time i got back to the office but luckily someone had an ice pack in the fridge.

I've also fallen down my front steps one day while we were having a yard sale. That leg i fell on was purple for a month after. I told people my DH hit me with the car. :rotfl:

:lmao: Sounds like me! I'm always accusing Kev of beating me in my sleep.
