and aren't they more like guidelines anyway....:goodvibes

Spoiler warning (if there is any scoundrel that has not yet seen AWE)

Highlight to read

We found out in AWE that the Pirates Code is actually codified in an official bound volume and has the full force and effect of law .....

Pirate Lawyers!!!!

:wave2: How's the job and house hunting going? How soon do you start your cross-country adventure? It actually sounds kind of fun (minus hauling all of your stuff with you). Congratulations (belated) on the triathalon.

Thanks for askin'
I think your wife and I should form a support group! Job-seeking Pirates! That part is exhausting and frustrating.

We leave here 6/23 and after 3 weeks of wandering, should arrive in DC on 7/14. I'm sure the trip will be fun in a pain-in-the-add sort of way. It is #3 cross country for us (E-W or W-E). Actually it is #4 for DH - when we moved to Kodiak after college, he drove & I flew up 6 months later since I had to stay in OH to finish at OU. We've also done N-S or S-N 2 times. We're pros. We are really looking forward to 4 days on the ferry cruising the inside passage. It is a great way to unwind. Last trip DH & I read 4 books each.

Thanks for the congrats!

I DID say that I was not compensating for the variable times of some folks joining the thread. This was mainly an exercise of whimsy... and possibly a barometer for guessing what the future might hold IF the past quarter of the threads' life were any indication.

Seriously... if you like we can start a series of pools to put some money on the guesses! <chuckles>

What, you expected me to READ your entire post. It had a lot of big words in it and I am just a humble pirate.

Payment in mickey bars, right?

My DH wanted to work for that company 35 years ago when we moved to Schaumburg.:rolleyes1 I think I am glad he didn't.:woohoo:

It was once a great company to work for. Now it seems like we don't even need any competitors in the market -- we can lose money and market share all by ourselves.

Talkative or chatty, especially of persons given to excess conversation.

I had to look this word up............

I'm glad I don't fall into this category.............:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Wow, first we improve our math skills, and now our English. I didn't realize I could learn so much from the DIS.

The bad weather is almost a dead-cert isn't it? We even went to Ikea in Milton Keynes on Sunday to try and avoid it but that didn't work either. :sad2:

David

The weather have been really bad if you chose to spend Sunday in Ikea instead.

I need to go there today but am dreading it. It is always a mad house, especially when I only need one thing that I am sure will be out of stock.

Ahhhhh JR don't feel like that! I hate all the Math, you know that......but I don't want anyone criticizing one of our own ;) :thumbsup2

And guess what JR??? I improved my vocabulary greatly in chat last night, didn't I PEEPS?? ;)

Hey, I thought you'd be impressed a young'un like me knew who the Smothers Brothers were.

I am sitting in the big town of Wheeling, WV at the Hampton Inn. I'll be in Moundsville, WV tomorrow to do the services for them. Right now I am going to dinner with the Officers from there so I'll be back in a bit to "ketchup". :cool1:

Hope you have a good book to read or something. I don't recall there being much to do in Wheeling or Moundsville.

Andy this is too funny....to me Wall Township is South Jersey and I'm in Central Jersey. Okay Wall isn't exactly South Jersey like where you live, but it is south to us Central Jerseyites (or is it Jerseyians?) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG that spelling is sure to bring JR out screaming :scared1: :scared1:

BTW I loved all the great pics of Angelina!

Naw, I have no idea what to call people from Jersey. I have the same people here in Illinois. I guess Illini, but that isn't PC anymore.

Hey Everyone look what I just bought DH for Father's Day! Iced Coffee drinks and Margaritas around the pool this summer WOO HOO!

(Oh alright, I bought it for ME) :rotfl2:

That's scary. I ALMOST bought one of those at Linens-n-crap yesterday. Decided it was too expensive.

It was right next to the $75 CORDLESS BLENDER.

Its been very hot here.

I am an Ordained Minister in The Salvation Army. Ministers in this Army are also Commisioned as Officers.

Each town that has a unit of The Salvation Army has Officers assigned to it. Usually it's a married couple because both the husband and wife are ordained and commissioned together.

My current assignment is what we call headquarters where we oversee all the units in Maryland and West Virginia. My particular assignment is in finance (CFO). Most weekends our headquarters staff visit the units for Sunday services either to just visit or participate.

The capital "O" doesn't really imply anything but is simply a convention.

Wow, that is great. The Salvation Army is one of those few charities I regularly give money to because they greatly helped out a friend of the family when I was growing up.

Say...

... that's wonderful! I suspected it had to be something like that. What a pleasant surprise! I don't suppose I could corner ya fer a vow renewal on our sailin' could I... <chuckles>

No, but I hear Tom is going to quickie divorces.

Afternoon all - chat was so fun last night! LET YOUR FREAK FLAG FLY!

TOld DH & DS that we're going to the Aug 4 Yankee game with 20-25 of the peeps:thumbsup2!
