Good Tuesday morning Everyone!!!!:surfweb: I know for alot of us this is our Monday due to having Monday off.:surfweb:

Hot here yesterday 91 and probably the same for today. Thank God for A/C and the swimming pool. I don't think I could have ever lived in the early 1900's or sooner without these comforts we have now.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!
Talk to you later!!

Question - I see that alot of you are talking about waterproof cameras or protectors for your cameras. Do they make them for Nikon's??? Or should I just go out and price the cheap ones at Walmart??

Get this one...

they're made by "Glad" and "good"* down to 42" ABOVE the water-line!

<chuckles>

* = good in the absence of rain, drizzle or really any water or dust!

7 question time again....

7) What new DISNEY CHARACTER would YOU create to add to a Disney movie? IE... I would create an 8th Dwarf... the MISER. He'd be the one in charge of the Dwarves finances. That is NOT my actual opinion - just an example.
Sk8ingirl - Prince Eric's mistress

Oh wait, did I say that outloud???:

OOooooo.....

I'm Tellin' Arial & Triton!

someone needs to learn how to use esnipe...

.....

.... I actually looked at it before - but we are infrequent eBay enthusaists. AND - as I recall after the initial trial period they charge a regular fee. So I faded from this tempting tool. Thanks for the reminder about it though.

And with this posting I believe I am caught up from the last poisnt where I left off. And as for being caught up from the BEGINNING of the thread .... <chuckles>

TTFN.... I got chores to run and the usual monday business to manage - except it's already tuesday....:)

Wow !!! what can I say ...It was a wild weekend here in Vegas ...But I first wanna say I want to thank my Sweet Melissa for helping me everyday with makeup and such and also to thank the great Management and Staff at the Red Rock Stations Regal Cinema , they were great in everyway ....Now on to the details ..

Day 1 - Thursday Opening Night ...got to the theater around 5pm ...Funny how driving around as CJS can attract so much attention ..LOL parked in the parking garage and it all started ..People yelling CJS CJS ...it was crazy ...the people in the elevator didnt know what to expect :lmao: ...Once out of the elevator and into the casino it was nuts ...people yelling everywhere stopping and wanting pics and such ...after about 20 minutes we finally made it to the Theater , where there was already a line since 3pm of people wanting to see the movie ...They went nuts to see Captain Jack Sparrow was there ....I was rushed into the Managers office to retrieve my effects (as I had to drop them off the day prior cause casino security didnt want me to walk through the casino with a sword and flintlock) . Once done with that , did a little straightening out of the ole costume and proceeded out amongst the crazy fans like me ...:lmao: ..This day we didnt do Pictures for charity , we were only there to get people excited about the movie ...didnt really need it but it made the crowd even better ...Of course pictures were wanting to be taken everywhere we turned , from regular cameras to cell phone cameras ...Some people were dressed up and most werent but they were having a good time nontheless .....I do have to say thanks to my friend Rob who dressed up and was more like my handler , and let me tell ya , you have to have one and I now understand why Disney characters have them as well ...It could ugly without one ....So getting close to 7pm and management has informed me that they have sold out all 7 showings and are going to add more , for a total of 12 showings starting at 8 pm .....they had to do 2 at 8 2 at 830 and so on ...well above what they expected ....once they let people into the theaters before the movie started we would walk into the theater and act like I was searching for something with my compass ..this including finding the most crowded isle and walking through that isle ..of course it was a tight squeeze and Rob would yell "Make Room for the Captain" it was funny ......in one theater ..the BIG one , they had an employee stand by 2 seats in the middle of the theater while we were out messing around with people ...5 minutes before the Movie started we came in and got a huge round of applause ...and the people around the two empty seats were excited that they would be watching the Movie with CJS .....The theater even had Soda and such waiting for us ...wonderful ....

Of course you know I loved the Movie ...It went by so fast for me ..I know others have said it was long but I guess I was in the moment ..LOL

Friday -Saturday and Sunday ...Picture Days

...Pictures with CJS for a Buck to help raise money ...the theater was packed , they had a nice huge CJS movie banner with Pirate flags and this would be my back drop for the photos ....I wont bore everyone with all the details but I know now what Disney Characters feel like after spending 6 to 7 hours a day doing this ...but in the end it was well worth it

Here are a bunch of pictures ...not so much of the crowd but plenty of pics ...

Your 5 terminal gaming room has me GREEN with envy! My friends and I used to get together and lug our computers with us to hook them up into token rings to play games. An old favorite was (and still is) mechwarrior in the network. Ahhh.... the memories of shooting ones' friends in the back from long distance! <pleasant chuckles!>

DH & DS like doing LAN parties! LOL!

My gaming friends and I sort of have the kids watching now... but the girls mostly have nominal interest... well... except my girls who just like to roll the dice for Dad now. On saturday we had friends over to swim, have lunch and play a fading game called Mech Warrior (clix). I recently purchased 3D plastic scale sized terrain boards. They're just starting to get painted but my old pal and his 2 twin boys (ages 11) had a huge kick out of the terrain!

Most of DH's IRL gaming friends have had to give up gaming (their wives think anything computer related is wrong <:confused3 I've never figured that one out!)
Our girls aren't into gaming as much... although the 23dd can kick b*** on most video games. ;) As her future dh has found out.....
DS and a friend of his drove to NC to visit online gaming friends of his and DH. Of course they brought their computers with them so they could have a LAN party between sightseeing -- the young men live in Ashville.

SO - I must confess - I am not sure what COH stands for. I freely admit I am not a "know it all".... that is .... until AFTER I find out what COH stands for. <chuckles>

City of Heroes. 9ds also plays WOW.

And this last weekend they had a gaming convention at LAX. I not only missed the gaming con (forgot what it was named) - but I also missed the STAR WARS con. I was scheduled to go saturday - but the older one wanted to attend Karate class with Mom (Mommy and me Karate.... they get to beat up on one another a bit) .... then we scheduled the friends to visit for lunch through the afternoon with swimming and gaming. After all that - we went shopping and found some terriffic bargains - and that was in substitution of my going to the SW con with the older girl. That was OK because it felt much more family-like. My spouse was consdiering going with me - we have "matching" costumes - to the SW con - but she sort or changed her mind in the last couple of weeks. I think she felt the costume needed a little tailoring... (!) Mine is a moderately elaborate Anakin outfit which I imported from Singapore. Well... it is beautifully elaborate and detail accurate. AND my spouses' outfit is the skin tight mid-drift (misspelled?) esposing torn white costume that Padme wears AFTER they "resuced" by the Jedis in the 2nd SW episode. Lets see if I can google an image.... I've got a backlog on googled images now with Tom in cue.!

I think that might be the SW con they were showing on the Game channel (cable). 9ds was watching it yesterday morning before we left... ;)

What fun about you and your spouses outfits! DS and his now ex-GF used to go to a big Anime con in the DFW area.

SO.... does your spouse plan on bringing any games on the cruise? I'll bring stuff too if we have any shared interests! Maybe we could get a few "rounds" played or each try something new for games?

I'm not sure if he is going to game or not... he doens't usually ever talk IRL about his gaming... So, many people make smart remarks. If our oldest ds (27) ends up coming along they might do it if there are others that are into gaming! Oldest ds is the one that told me what the line in your sig meant....

AND... BTW... you should get rid of that AOL account and go GMAIL for free or somethin'....

<chuckles>

I did get a gmail account -- and dh has plenty of domain names that I can have accounts on...including the domain he bought for me....:rotfl:

I don't want to give up AOL! This past year I really did stop using their boards.... I've had the AOL email addy so long that people that I haven't seen or head from in 10yrs could still get a hold of me. Which is the number one reason I still keep it around.... :rolleyes1

Happy Tuesday! I'm all caught up. We got back yesterday around 5PM. We took the scenic way home. We went OH/PA turnpikes to Breezwood and thna I-70 to 522 to I-81. On our way home took I-81 to I-64 to I-77. Wow! Haven't been that way in about 4-5 yrs and alot of building has gone on. We stopped at New River Gorge NP and took in the sights. Stayed in Charleston WV. All in all in was a nice trip. I always enjoy the mountains and would love to move to the Shenandoah Valley. DD informed me that she would like to move down there so she could milk cows!? :confused3 Don't have an idea where that came from.

Our somber mission turned out to be an adventure! Drove up and down the same country road for a good 45 minutes trying to find the family cemetery. At one point I was ready to go to the Methodist Church which had a small cemetery, but I finally saw something up on a hill and stopped to ask and it was the family cemetery. It was really over grown with weeds, but I located my uncle's stone, so we scattered my Dad's ashes with cows and horses watching. All I could think was hope there aren't any snakes lurking in here! Turns out that even in a rual area things get built up. There were now two houses below the cemetery and the house that I was using as a landmark had burnt down and was demolished!

So back to the daily grind. I miss those cheap VA gas prices! paid $2.87 on Sun.

Is Will back to stay at the end of the movie or does he have to continue being the Captain of the Dutchman?

Spoiler Alert ....you must highlight to read

"You have a touch of Destiny about you Will Turner" ......The Flying Dutchman MUST always have a Captain ....He may set foot on land once every Ten Years ....So when you see him at the end that is his one day after 10 years , then he must go back ...Keep in mind that the Captain of the Dutchman doesnt age ...hence CJS's quest for the FOY for elizabeth (im Betting) ....will there be another movie.....Yes ...could they end it here ...Yes ....Will Disney want to make more money on this franchise .....YES ....
