Found this one in my email this morning, and make me laugh so I thought I'd share. This one is for the wenches.........

A study worth sharing...

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that
the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending
on where she is in her menstrual cycle.
For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged
and masculine features.
However, if she is menstruating, pregnant, or menopausal, she tends to
be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear
lodged in his chest while he is on fire.
No further studies are expected.

This made me laugh out loud Mary Ann! Thanks!

Hey Lisa and yargrnhoj

I just saw your posts about the incidents at your kids schools. As a teacher I am horrified! People like that should not be teaching.

Chrissie

Yeah, well...they will let just about anyone sub here. :( I found out who the sub was yesterday and it is someone who cries foul any time either of her kids is looked at the wrong way. She would have been in the principal's office that afternoon if it had been done to one of her kids. I am really glad that I sent the complaint in now. DS is in 2nd grade. What about the kids in Kindergarten or first grade who wouldn't have complained to their parents about a "teacher." It made me very upset.

I just wanted to add that DS's teacher is VERY upset about this. She has been home most of the week with her 2 yo twins because they have had a fever since Friday and the daycare wouldn't take them until 24 hours fever free.

Hey MR, just found out that my new man has a cordless blender. I told him that the blender goes on the cruise, whether or not he does! :rotfl:

WOWEEE Monica!!!! This guy's a definite KEEPER! :rotfl2:

And I thought I was the only wacko with a cordless blender......this guy I gotta meet!!

You suppose I could get my 18.2V high speed DRILL BLENDER on the ship???

THis would be portable and I could play bartender anywhere and everywhere on the ship... plus everyone with a portable drill like this could bring thiers' along and have thier own portable blender at minimal cost!

<chuckles>

Hello Friends!!

Gonna ketchup BRB!

I really wish the Kohl's was closer than 1 1/2 hours away. I am about to push DS upstairs to bed so that I can watch GA. :) Maybe I can venture online & find something to use the 30% off code on. :goodvibes :rolleyes1

Fascinating...

... Clearly us folks on the West Coast plus a few in the mid west are getting pinched... and I wonder why that's the case? Oh well... Thanks for this fascinating map!

A lot of it is the use of "boutique" fuels to meet the stringent air quality issues. In our state there are 2 counties that follow most of California's air quality issues and I happen to be in one of them.

It not only affects the cost of the product but also our maintenance such as vapor recovery nozzles ($200) a standard nozzle is about $50, vapor recovery hoses, additional containments on our underground storage tanks, vent pipes etc.....we can not allow any vapors to be released. Also not to mention the additional testing that we have to have preformed and training for employees so that our equipment is inspected every day and must be placed out of service if there is a problem.

Alot of the problems with fuel prices could be solved if we culd get some new refineries built in the US. Congress needs to lessen the regualtions associated with them. Of course it would take at least 10 years to build one if they started today.:)

We don't normally use a blender but I think I want one of those "drill bit" blenders just to play with! :woohoo:

Plus - this weekend will involve a nice family reunion drawing folks from Hawaii and Boston. I'm looking forward to the weekend...

TTFN...
Enjoy your weekend, it sounds like it will be a great time for you.:)

Another thing that would help bring the price of gas down would be to make just one octane type. Most vehicles can run perfectly on the lowest octane of gas. :confused3

When I first moved here everyone suggested this female gyno who supposedly was the best. Well let me tell you she had the personally of a wet fish! The group that she is in is supposed to be the best in town. What really turned me off about was that after I went for mammo(sorry guys)
they found something and I had surgery within the two week period.

While I was recuperating at home my phone rings and it is this female gyno telling me that there was and issue with the mammo and would like me to back to her office so we could discuss our options. I asked her what do we have to discuss. She said she was going to refer me to a surgeon for surgery. I told her I alreadly had surgery on the issue she was talking about and all she could say was "OH" and all I could say is "OYE VAY"!!! I never went back to her after that. I asked to be transferred to one of the other male Gyn in the practice and let me tell you "HE IS THE BEST". He really takes his time and seems to be bery caring for his patients. He takes all the time needed if you have questions. By the way he is good looking too!!!

Sorry for this soapbox!!!

Karen

Glad it worked out OK for you Karen. That is true that there are many wonderful doctors and some that aren't worth a thing. But the same thing is true in all professions.:)

I leave tomorrow to go back to the Tidewater area again. Two weekends in a row. :bride: It's another wedding and this one is one the beach.

I do get to babysit our adopted grandaughter for a few hours until her dad gets home from Mississppi. Her mom and my DW are at a scrapbook weekend at the camp in Richardsville, VA (west of Fredericksburg)

I still say if you wait that nice white building with the pillars and the lawn downtown D.C. will have a vacancy next November.

I guess you're different than my wife and I -- we only feel safe if we are at least an hour away from our children. Makes it real hard for the school to call say "DD has the sniffles, can you come pick her up".

Good luck with the interviews.

Not next November, two Novembers (and technically stays till January)

pirate:ing to also wish good luck

I had to pass this one on!

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington was recently
faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls had begun to use
lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they
put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens
of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the
next day the girls would put them back.

Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the
girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained
that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had
to clean the mirrors every night (you can just imagine the yawns from the little
princesses).

To demonstrate how difficult it was to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance
man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled
squeegee, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.

Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

There are teachers.... and then there are educators.

Hey J.R. I believe you may have insulted me somewhere in there. What the heck does ecumenically mean??? If it's mean, don't tell me.

It's not mean. I only used it to make a POTC:COTBP reference: "spiritually, ecumenically, grammatically".

Not next November, two Novembers (and technically stays till January)

Not to be a smarty-pants (that's Mr. Smarty-Pants, to you), November 2007 is THIS November and November 2008 is NEXT November. Just tomorrow is NOT 'Next Friday'.

And some would of course say there is a vacancy in that house right now.
