... we've taken SIX in a row! That's not bad. And I think we can continue to sustain a good sprint for the pirate postings. In fact... I am SURE we'll continue to do just fine.

And yeah... I know the Wenches can be formidible too - so we do have to stay on our toes too... AT least I know my spouse keeps me on my toes sometimes. Or at least she tries to...

It really isn't that interesting of a story. He was at our church's Saturday evening service where he usually does the sound. Well, he wasn't allowed to because he was suspended from school (remember I said May was a bad month). So he's sitting to the side of the sound booth on a stool. He was leaning forward tipping the chair slightly, just like all kids do and we tell them not to. He's not really sure if he fell asleep or passed out or what, but he toppled over, landed on his face and slid down the 3 steps in front of him. Since he landed on his face, it pushed his neck back hard, sort of a whiplash kind of thing.

He's fine now. Just still sore. He's milking the whole thing though. Getting sympathy everywhere he can because he's got to wear the neck brace still.

Yikes! I wondered about that too, when I saw the pictures.

Those are too funny! Last night at dd's softball game they started chanting'" Theres a runner at 3rd who has to go p** send her home!" All the adults started laughing. Than they went on to chant about the runner at 2nd who had to do #2! After that the coach gave them the evil eye and they quit.

I can imagine how that must have been....

Working in retail once, some gal tried to walk out with around 10 silk blouses. Would've gotten away with it but she stuck them under her skirt (big woman here) and left them on the hangers. The hangers were sticking out from under her skirt.

We've once had a woman try to walk out the door with a 2' high porcelin vase between her legs! And we've had numerous occasions with folks hiding things under thier clothes or in a purse to take out. We noticed the hangers empty or discarded then we'd lock the front door and wait for security or police - or we would more likely recover the goods and let them go. Crazy how we did things back in the 70s! We'd probably get sued today if we practiced that now days!

We had Chicken and Dumplings -- a recipe that cooks int he crockpot... It tasted good but, the dumplings (which are only cooked the last 30 min) turned to mush real quick! LOL!

Thanks to your review I threw out the dumplings that came with the bag I bought and added some that I had in the freezer.

Right after this, my son held up my phone and asked Johnny to say hi to the girls who couldn't make the trip. Johnny grabbed the phone and said in his Captain Jack's voice "Hello Girls"......hehe...Johnny Depp touched my phone!!

OMG! I would have grabbed his hand and kissed it!

Here's part of the reason it's been a difficult month. My son took a hard fall and ended up in the ER. He's fine, just has the scrapes you see and a sore neck. He'll be in a neck brace for another week or so. I took a few pics with my phone because he wanted to see himself all strapped to the guerny

Just wet - I would have been starstuck and looked all goober-like or done something stupid like grabbed his hand and would end up scratching him and thus be kicked out of the park.

You know - now that the talk of CJS is here - I do have a question for the Capt (Todd) here - just out of curiousity - I'm assuming Melissa didn't go with you - but would she have a problem with the groping? I just thought about that. I must admit, if DH dressed up like that - I wouldn't know if I would take it as a compliment or be . Then again - maybe she's seen it and that's why she doesn't go. Ahh, smart lady!

And when one is ....ummm....groped, do ye smart off? Or grin and take it???? ARGH!!

I have to admit that I refuse to eat tomato sauce from a jar (unless I've made it myself) - on the rare occassion that I get pasta out, it is usually from a family run italian restaurant and I'm sure that the sauce is homemade. Now I will get other sauces (clam, alfredo) out.

Having said this, I have heard from others that one way of "freshening" up jared sauce is to add some fresh herbs (mainly basil and parsley) to boost the flavor. As for meatballs, I use three kinds of meat in mine in addition to the herbs and other ingredients.

I haven't made my own sauce since I can remember. I am so thankful for the sales on Prego and stock up. I mainly get the three cheese one and sometimes the Italian sausage for DH. It is so easy to pour a jar in a casserole dish, mix in a jar of water, and add a few handfuls of ziti to it. Stick it in the oven on 375 for an hour & then sprinkle a few handfuls of cheese on top. Easy pasta bake!

Todd we agree Disney definitely will release another POTC movie (insert name) and agree release date will be late 2009 or early 2010 to coincide with the christening of the newest Disney cruise ship (insert name) after all Will is only bound for the next 9 years and 362 days or so

The new ships aren't suppose to be out until 2011 and 2012 so that gives Disney even more time to wrap up two more movies.

So you think the soonest they would bring out another POTC edition is 2009? I think they'll try and spring one on us in 2008! Unless you think it cannot be done that quick.

I believe that when this was discussed before Todd said that Jonny Depp is committed to do two movies that would have to be completed before production on another POC could begin. I think that they are being done in 2008 & 2009. That would be the main reason for the delay.

Umm, Crash, if this is from KANSAS, why does the small print saw "FLORIDA Petroleum Marketers..."?

(Actually, these stickers are quite common -- we have them on pumps here in IL, too. I've never been quite clear why the penalty for shoplifting gas is losing your drivers license but the penalty for shoplifting food is not to lose your stomach).

I saw another image while googling that was almost identical - and it was cited as being Kansas - so I guess this might have been ASSUMED to be from Kansas. I had never seen these before except as cited from Kansas - so I just assumed it was Kansas.

everyone - ok - have been away for a few days trying to remedy (ok I really haven't) my situation but I have a question for anyone who cares to answer.

Who is doing the TransAtlantic Repo from Barcelona to PC on Aug 18-Sept 1?

I just got a call from a friend - she has booked me on this cruise on one of the last cat 12's. Since we are doing the Med July 28-Aug8 cruise - then flying to Paris and Paris DL for 1 week. Our originally scheduled return flight home was going to be Aug 15.

Well since the ships leaves Aug 18 - she decided to go ahead and book me one "just in case". This would mean that I would have to figure out what to do with myself for 3 days! (where to spend it at, Paris, Barcelona, Italy! London?) I now have a major decision to make. Should I go ahead and do it - I wanted to do it but was glad once I read the WB trip reports that I didn't. Now that the opportunity to go has presented itself. Can I really do this?????

DD14 will have started her freshman year of high school. DH is saying its ok with him - he can't take off 5 weeks from work. (Someone has to make the money! ) and yet - can I really be separated from DD14 and DH for another 2 weeks? I mean there is her first day of school and all. I have ALWAYS been there for the first day of school from Kindergarden. This would be the first time I wouldn't be there- even when I worked I went. Then again she is growing up. DH said that he'd figure out how to pick her up somehow.

Should I invite DD20 to come with? Oh my - decisions, decisions. And there is the added bonus of instead of having 23 hr days - we will have a 'few' 25 hr days! Can't beat that. But 6 days at sea? I'm hoping that as the summer progresses - the problems are ironed out which I'm sure they will be - but can I really do this?

How about it my 2nd family? Please weigh in - would love to hear all sides.

Remember - I just did the solo Mom's trip on Mother's day to FL from Thurs to Mon nite. That was easy but I was glad to be home.

Ok - I open the floodgates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As you know, I am on your July 28 cruise, then spending 10 days in Paris and DLP, and then taking the repo back . . .go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
