I was talking with some neighbors down the street when DS rode up on his bike with something in his hand. :scared: He let it drop...it was a snake skin taller than him!!!! :scared1: He found it outside the garage door. :scared1: :scared: :scared1: It is at least 5 feet long. :sad1: :scared:

Are you for serious? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously!

:lmao:

I guess they are too young to know about SERIOUSLY from GA...at least I hope so. ;)

Sorry but I am one of the acronimally challenged. GA?

I was watching AI and playing ketchup.

Me too & House.

Hey Crew,

Just sticking my head in the door to say "Boo"! I'm a single mom this week as DH is off on Reserve duty at the AF Academy. He just called to chat and said he had to run to go iron uniforms. Wonder if he remembers how! Wonder if he remembered his bottle of starch. :rotfl2: He's got a Dining-in (formal unit only dinner and shannigans) on Wednesday with the cadets and has to squeeze into his mess dress. He'll certainly impress them with his posture - if he takes too big of a breath he'll pop a button! (True!! He popped on our last cruise.) :rotfl: :rotfl: When he told me he had a dining-in and I busted a gut laughing his rather disgruntled response was "I expected more support from my spouse." I supported him by suggesting he add an inch of chain to that button he busted on the cruise. :lmao:

DS10 got a new hair cut. We decided the best way to fight his massive cowlick was to just shave it all off. We were talking flat top, but he decided on a crew cut when he got to the barber. Here are before and after pictures. What a difference!

Oops. No before and after pictures. DH took the camera. Guess he wanted proof of button status after the dining-in. Well, when the camera returns I'll upload the before and after pcitures.

DS10's class is getting ready for their big field trip this year - 3 days and 2 nights at Malakoff Diggings - one of the largest hydralic mines from the California Gold Rush. We (I'm chaperoning) have to dress in period clothing, and participate in period activies - tin smithing, wood working, blacksmithing, candle dipping, etc. I'm in charge of the scavanger hunt (OK, not everything is period.) It's Monday-Wednesday of next week. I'm looking forward to it.

Say, anyone want to cover the Pirate Joke of the Day while I'm gone. I've been doing such a lousy job recently anyway all y'all should just fire me.

Well I've got to run. It's bed time already and I stil don't have lunches made for tomorrow.

TTFN!

Best luck to your DH!! Let's hope he doesn't pop while he is there. ;)
Your fieldtrip sounds like a wonderful adventure--Enjoy and take lots of pics:)

Hope they were great!:)

Hello All :wave2:
* Update Warning and it's a downer. *
First- Thank you for the birthday wishes. Not much of a celebration here but there is worse things in life. My DD Brooke is devastated. She dropped Dante last night and he got hurt bad. After talking with the vet last night, he told me to bring him in first thing this morning. Dante will be spending the night in the hospital as he needs a implant in his knee. Can you relate Andy?

Between the hernia operation and this one which is more major, I see us just spending our TOAL money on other things.:sad1: Dante is not only a member of this family but my child and Brooke is the big sister. I have never been so attached to one animal before in my life. It hurts us so much to see him in pain and not able to walk.

Brooke has a teeth cleaning today and we have a home inspection this afternoon. I am feeling a little overwelmed and can't wait till this is all over with.

needed to vent, thanks for listening.

  Hope Dante gets to feeling better soon.

Nothing quite like watching an hour and a half of baseball practice in 45 degree weather.

We showed our house to our first perspective renters today. Seemed to go pretty well. Assorted crossed appendages are in order.

Well, my ST just saved me a fortune(I love this kid)............Angelina is borrowing a dress, shoes and purse from a friend of hers for the upcoming prom(once we meet the date, that is.) All we need to do is take the dress to get hemmed. Of course, she looks absolutely beautiful in the dress.

OOHHH Prom Pictures!!! Share them soon!

( Just a test ) :rotfl2:

Yet, not nearly so sad when a wench has a premature pirate post.

This is also Roman Numeral for 1,000 for my posts on this thread :thumbsup2

WOW! Thanks for posting the pirate for me Brack! Personalized and everything. Did ya catch that, Tom? Add one to the wench column.

I guess they are too young to know about SERIOUSLY from GA...at least I hope so. ;)

Seriously?

I love it and use it all the time. That and "my knight in shining whatever"

Note to self - Playing baseball with kids in back yard instead of DISing means missing the pirate: run

Second note to self - absolutely worth it!!!!

There is still hope for you yet.

DUDE....SWEET...DUDE.....SWEET...DUDE...SWEET

Right before The Guardian came out, in Coast Guard circles it was referred to as Dude Were's My Boat.

Todd, My DS birthday is on May 25th and he is thankful Disney decided to celebrate his birthday in such an momentous way. And our kids have that day off of school so guess where we will be at 12am.

I think we might try to go see it at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood when it comes out. I was wondering if some people might dress up. It is Hollywood after all.

The El Capitan is actually doing a POTC marathon starting Thursday which will lead into the showing of POTC 3 ...I think a friend mentioned that it was sold out already ..

Oohh weren't we anxiously awaiting May for the filming and world premier of the Captain Jack Sparrow Irons a T-**** video?

I just saw that when I went to their website. It's starting at noon that Thursday and is $100 per person. It sounds like a lot of fun but I'm sure you're right about it being sold out. I doubt I could get away from work anyway. They are encouraging people to dress up.

It looks like the entire first weekend is already heavily sold because there was hardly anything available in the better sections. Even general admission was pretty picked over.

It would be very fun to see it there since they will be turning the entire theatre into a POTC shrine with props from the movie on display all over. I think I'm going to try for tickets on Monday since we'll be off for Memorial Day.
