Good Morning Friends!!

Aren't these Spring weekends FABU!! This is Little League season for us, and it was glorious spending yesterday morning outside in the sunshine watching the game and spending times with our Little League friends.

Sometimes you just gotta stop a moment and realize that LIFE IS GOOD!

And even though today is all about the housework LIFE IS STILL GOOD!!

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Good Morning Everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself, I am trying my best to book this cruise with all of you!!! :cool1:  :woohoo: I am in major need of some Mickey Love!!!

My name is Season and I am from Birmingham, Alabama. My DH and DS(4) will be traveling with me, HOPEFULLY if I can get this booked!!!! We have cruised with a few of you before so some of you already know us!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

:grouphug:

:welcome: Season and Family (what an awesome name)! Good luck in securing a cabin on our cruise! We have a really terrific crew here so jump right in an join us. So who have you cruised with already?

Good morning and happy Cinco De Mayo!!!

Tis a beautiful day here and DD and I are heading off to a Family Fun day at the Shawnee Inn. :goodvibes

To ketchup just a bit...pets...
We just lost our dear kitty Charlotte. She was almost 21 years old and I had her for about 16 years. :sad1: We still have our 'good daughter', our yellow lab named Sally. She's almost 4. When we travel, one of my BILs stays at our house (kinda to babysit MIL :rolleyes1 ) so precious poochie doesn't have to go anywhere. Here's a pic of her with Patricia, taken after our last snow storm in MARCH...

Andy, hope those knees are feeling better. DH says "Thanks!!!" to both you and Cheryl. He suffers from degenerative arthritis of the cervical spine and the Thera-Gesic has helped quite a bit.:woohoo:

Chat was fun last night, but I stayed wayyyy too late. :headache: Going to bed at 1:30 am and having my precious :bride: up at 7:15 am did not make for a good morning. ;)

Hope all is well with all of you!!! Enjoy the wonderful day!

Karen I absolutely love that pic of your DD your DDog and your DSnowman!! Made me smile :thumbsup2

At 4am this morning we recieved a call from the hospital informing us that my Father had died. :scared1:

He would have been 87 on the 16th of this month. We're just thankful it wasn't a long drawn out ordeal for him.

Joksten I am very, very sorry for the loss of your Father.

Thanks Roger, But it looks like too far of a walk for us at least.

Saw this in the Orlando Sentinel. Interesting article about Disney and the Med.

Arlene one of the nice things about CCI is that they have their own shuttle that runs back and forth between the parks and the hotel every 30 minutes so you really don't have to walk. We always stay there when we do multi-day trips to DL and CA. It's a very nice, family friendly hotel.

Just for a few laughs.

Difference Between Women And Men

1.NAMES

If Laurie , Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara go out for lunch, they will call each other Laurie , Linda, Elizabeth and Barbara.

If Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Scrappy.

2.EATING OUT

When the bill arrives, Mark, Chris, Eric and Tom will each throw in a $20 , even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the women get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

3.MONEY

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need, but it's on sale.

4.BATHROOMS

A man has five items in his bathroom: a toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from the Marriott.

The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

5.ARGUMENTS

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that... Is the beginning of a new argument.

6.CATS

Women love cats.

Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

7.FUTURE

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

8.SUCCESS

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

9.MARRIAGE

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change , and she does.

10.DRESSING UP

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, and get the mail.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

11.NATURAL

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

12.OFFSPRING

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

Cheryl that was hysterical! Thanks for posting it!

 "Good Morning Folks"

I can't believe it, but I actually slept in this morning until 7:15.............:lmao:

Wowee Andy that's gotta be some kind of record! :lmao: Very glad your knees feel a little better Pal!!

It seems I missed alot of Birthdays this weekend so...............

:bday:

5/4

Matt, Kailey, and Frank

5/5

Joshua, Susan, and Benjamin

5/6

Rosie

I hope all of your Birthdays were GRRRREAT!!!

If the Sea Mist is the one I am thinking about (red and white on Beach Dr), it is under going a restoration. It looked as if it was being dismantled as a opposed to being torn down. I was surprised to see a number of B&B for sale. Hmmmmm.......

Not sure about the seal. I remember seeing something in the local paper.

I also drove thru Wildwood for the first time in 10 years.I was shocked by the number of condos that that exist where the 50's styles motels were. Sad.

Yes, that's the one! We were worried that it had burned the way the Lobster House had last year. They are doing exploration work on the grounds of the Coachman's Motor Inn to see if they can build condos there! I wonder if they are planning on expanding those green and white ones? If you look around, so many of the hotels are going condo. It's getting to be difficult to afford to visit!

Thanks for the info!

Andrew......Congrats on your 2,000 post! How is your headache?? How was your DW's Birthday (and how is she and your DD feeling too?)

A friend just sent this video to me, and I thought I would share it.

So here is why I am sk8ingmom:

Been skating since I was 3. Did OK in freestyle (the solo jumps and spins), messed around with pairs (even did a lift once with Olympic silver medalist Peter Carruthers), loved ice dance, but partners are hard to find. But I LOVED synchro. What's that, you say? (see link). It is basically ice dance/pairs for 20-24. I was there for the early days (skated in the 2nd-7th National Championship and again 8-9-10 years later). I retired when I went to college...but I un-retired at age 23 when we were in San Diego. 1/2 way through my last season I got pregnant with DS. DS8 was in 3 competitions and 2 ice shows in utero - I lovetoremindmy hockey player! The first board I ever joined was a "Holy Shirt I'm Pregnant" Board. Thus the name sk8ingmom.

Anyway - if you so desire, check out 3:45 of a little known sport.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksnNHytIz4s
It is from the Synchronized Skating World Championship this year.
If it looks scary now...imagine the first run-through of the season!

This is why I don't let hockey players call figure skaters wimpy!!!

Pretty Cool :thumbsup2
