Wow, hope everyone is okay. I was just talking with my colleagues in the UK on Thursday b/c one of our cabinets for our equipment hasn't been tested for level 3 seismic and we were trying to decide if that was a problem since it is not a UK requirement. Maybe a few more like this one and it will become one.

70 odd people are out of their homes due to damage, one lady was taken to hospitial, if it was a weekday it would have been far worse

I just noticed my DIS clock is really off. I've apparently been posting in eastern time zone today. Not sure when my settings got screwed up, but they were right the other day.

Crash, Andrew -- please stop messing around with the TARDIS and get me back in my correct time zone.

I have done the online booking thing a few times now, seemed to be changed this time, couldnt find the 'back' button on screans after booking each item, it was in small print at the bottom, luckly in the heat of the moment I opened up a back up TAB on the internet browser so I could switch.

I suggest:-
When shore trips come out, save in my wishes, (my preference) before your booking day. you could change the screen sellection to show them only rather than pages of every port, then just click to book.

Check with DCL before your day, that you have paid in full in their books, one person had a problem yesterday DCL had made an error, All rooms are linked together, one person had a problem there.

Shore trips on the Med were going quicker than Palo's maybe due to three sea days only, Dinner was the best to get.

Group Diss brunch, hopfull I will know if 14 dissers have it at 30 days before the cruise.

Thought I'd share this tidbit of inforamtion that I just saw in an e-mail I received overnight.

At three minutes and four seconds after 2 AM on the 6th of May
this year, the time and date will be 02:03:04 05/06/07. This will
never happen again.

Now in the UK that will be in June! we do Day/month/Year. I will look out for the 5th of June.

That's OK, I just read in the newspaper this morning that the town next to us, are converting all their meters to the type where the meter reader can ride down the street in a car, point a machine from the car to the house, and the reading is sent back to the machine. There was talk of doing that here in our town about 15 years ago, see how far it got don't you............. The other town has about 3000 meters and it is going to cost around $1 million dollars to replace all the meters and purchase the equipment. We have over 6000 meters in our township, which get read 4 times a year.

Oh Andy do I have a story for you! My father was a Delmarva retiree and the stories he could tell! As DH mentioned a few million posts ago, my parents home was destroyed in a fire and had to be demo’d since it was beyond repair. We had some meter issues back then, mainly they could not cap the line because they could not find it, along with some other BS mostly water issues not electric, they also asked for their meter back which I said they could get if they could get into the house. Things seemed to get better once we sold the property to a family friend. Anyway we are coming up on 6 years since the fire and I get this notice in the mail that they are going to cut the water off since the bill has not been paid. I can’t remember how many KW have been used but it was up there! I called and explained about the house, offered to send them pictures and all the documents we have. The woman insisted that someone was using the electric at the “house” and that with the new meters they drive down the street it just picks up the signal and that is all they are doing! She then told me “the meter readers are not paid to investigate just to read”. Investigate what, its raw land, at which point I told her that it must be my mom and everyone else in heaven that are using the electricity and that they will have to send the bill to them since I am not paying. Needless to say she marked me as an irate costumer and passed me off to her supervisor who, once I explained everything, was not happy with the way she handled the call, told me to just mail back the notice with his name and investigation number and they will stop the milling… How nice of them huh! We will see what happens in another 3 years!

Congrats on your Disney buying spree! I love the Mickey DMQ earrings! Actually I asked for the necklace for mothers day or my bday! I am going to head up there on Thursday and take a look at some of the Jewelry, I have the advantage of being able to walk into the vault and hand pick what I want this time! My old boss has a “project” for me… We will see how much they are willing to pay me before I accept this little challenge! Its funny, I was the pain in the butt that kept them honest for so many years and now they miss that!
Anyway I saw you are waitlisted for the birthstone necklace! Don’t feel bad that you didn’t get the necklaces apparently the shipment was held up and very few got thru. A good friend of mine was in charge of getting all the disney jewelry passed thru for the show and it just didn’t happen! I’m not sure who you are buying the necklaces for but I will offer up some advise. The June necklace has a pearl for the birthstone. Why they just post set it is beyond me but that is all the support it has. Needless to say one good bump and that pearl is long gone. All the other necklaces are prong set, sometimes in children’s jewelry they will post the pearl and then flat prong it for added security. Now QVC does offer a lifetime guarantee for any missing stones so there isn’t a worry except that it will be gone for a while being repaired/replaced. A lot of places will tell you that you can switch the pearl birthstone for an amethyst since that is one of the many stones for June. I of course always want to stick with the Alexandrite but who can afford a real no lab created one! If you are set on the pearl then by all means get it just make sure that the girls are extra careful with it I would hate to see tears!
You will have to let us know how things are when ya get them! I love delivery day!

Did you use to work for QVC? Wow! I'm waitlisted for July & May, ruby and emerald. One is for me July and the other for dd. I'm not really big on prong set as I had one ring that stone keep popping out of. A co-worker of mine had her mom's and her wedding rings redone at a local jewlery store and it turned out so nice that I took my dgm's ruby ring and wedding band there to have them redo it. It's been sitting in a box for years so I thought it would be nice to be able to wear something that was my grandmothers and is also my birthstone!

Worked all weekend at my dad's house and going over there tonight. The real estate agent has it listed and needs a key. Hoping it goes quickly. She sold a house on a very busy main street in one month this Janaury! So she is good!

Thank you! DS could use some extra because MIL is having surgery 5/7...the day of their practice. She is having the worst kidney removed...which will allow them to remove the rest of the tumor that has grown around her tube. Hopefully she will recover well and we will be here on 5/12 for his FC.

JUST AS AN FYI EVERYONE. Myspace accounts are not allowed to be posted on the boards. This decision was made primarily to protect the younger members of the DIS boards since that site isn't monitored and the DIS is concerned about the safety of all its members. There isn't a way to fairly allow some to post & some not though...so at this time it is not allowed in general. The WMs are keeping track of how that site is monitored and if it becomes safer, the policy might be revised. Thanks!
