Sometimes.

And then there was the time that all the police, fire, and anyone listening to a scanner in our town heard this: "No need to bother the couple parked in the high school parking lot, it's just Blank's kid & his girlfirend. It's been a long cruise."

I have been running spyware on the computer for the past couple hours. I did spybot and got rid of a bunch of files and now AVG is going and has another 55 files at medium risk so far. OY! Maybe this thing will run a lot faster after being cleaned out. Hope so! I have been practicing my typing too. Hands are cramped so probably a good time to stop...eh?

Putting on the Ritz is showing our age again. :lmao: I would like to know where the expression came from????:confused3 Was it a Marx Brother movie???? I do think formal nights are so much fun!!!! I usually go around wearing a Mickey something all the time. Nice to dress like a lady!!!

Wikipedia:

"Puttin' on the Ritz" is a popular song written and published in 1929 by Irving Berlin and introduced by Harry Richman in the musical film Puttin' on the Ritz (1930). The title derives from the slang expression "putting on the Ritz", meaning to dress very fashionably. The expression was inspired by the swanky Ritz Hotel. The song gives Gary Cooper as an example of someone who puts on the Ritz.

No Marx Brothers, but that phrase/song always reminds me of Young Frankenstien.

Yes, I am working on slowing down so that my error rate is low. I am going to have to take a typing test to get the dictation job. The program that I have has a dictation testing review too so I worked on that earlier and did better than I thought I would. :)

I do draw the line at socks now! The basket hasn't been touched for a few days though so I will have to force myself to iron tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder. ;)

BTW, did you meet up with DH in time to make the flight home together? I don't remember reading an update on that.

One of my all-time favorite movies. I know, I'm a little off. :upsidedow

Jared's chorus is going to sing that song for their spring concert. He came home the other day and asked me if I knew it....HA....surprised him when I could sing it!

Traveling can be so exhausting!!! Just on the news that United and Us Airways are ranked the lowest for customer satisfaction. I can relate to United. I have nothing but trouble but Chicago is their main hub. I guess you were not very pleased with NW either.:rolleyes1

Hi Stace, How are you feeling???

Headaches are still here. I switched back to my old glasses tonight, because I really think it's the new prescription that's off. I'll call the eye doc tomorrow.
Thanks for asking!

Mark

Hi Mark,

Been up since 4am here this morning. I think I might have over done it at the springs yesterday. I was in the 72* water for about two hours and last night my left knee was so stiff I could hardly walk. Went to bed very early after rubbing the knee down with Icy/Hot, it still feels a bit stiff this morning. The water felt quite cold when I first went in, but after a few minutes, my body adjusted and it felt great. Also, got a little sunburn as well................

My "ST" asked if we would take her to an Outlet Mall today, oh lucky me..........

I'm still working on getting photos loaded into my webshots account, but with this dial-up, it takes forever just to get one photo loaded and I have about 30 photos to load in from yesterday..........:rotfl:

:wave2: Stace -

I had the same problems many years in a row until I wised up - I was switching eye docs and so never made the connections - thought it was me - turns out everytime I got a new pair -I would have little mishaps with the car or me - headaches, hitting curbs, slamming the brakes too hard - turns out I'm especially sensitive to polycarbonate lenses, some UV filters, colors, etc. Once I hit on a pair that didn't give me a headache I found out what they were made of - now I have to ask cuz most places will automatically give you polycarbonate lenses to cut down on expenses. Don't know about you but if your prescription hasn't changed I'm of the opinion the glasses shouldn't give you headaches - if it has changed - don't mind me - I've been gone a few days trying to finish up my ressies for the Med cruise coming up.

Anyway, as a fellow eye sufferer there's almost nothing worse than a headache from getting used to new glasses - and there's really nothing you can do until you do get used to them - one doc made me wait 2 weeks before he conceded and went back to my old prescription - I always test stronger but can never get used to them - consequently I've had the same strength for about 20 years. Some docs just can't believe you when you say something's wrong! Hope you feel better soon!

This is my reaction after jumping into the water that was 72* at De Leon Springs.......................:rotfl2:
