That would have to be a heck of a cover charge! I don't think $5 would cut it

Ah, well...a girl can dream!

I just love those deep verandahs. I know the Walt is long, which is okay if you just want to walk back and forth.......but those on the Millenium even have a hot tub!!

I had checked out some of those a while back. Just not sure yet what we'd like to do. After seeing the pictures of the town, maybe it would be nice to just wander. But after so many days at sea, I just know I'm going to want to get in the water!
So many choices, so little time!!

It will be like when we arrived in Curacao! I was really glad to to be on land for a few hours.

Columbia is still under a travel advisory from the Dept. of State, but its the oldest advisory in effect, hopefully will be gone by 08

If this was posted already, forgive me . I have to ketchup Sunday. This was in the Passporter News Letter Sounds Like a great Idea!!!!

Our readers report that Disney Cruise Line is testing new post-cruise airline check-in and baggage handling procedures in Port Canaveral. Guests returning from recent voyages report that if they were flying after noon on participating airlines, they could have their airline boarding passes prepared on board and delivered to their staterooms, and that after their luggage was collected on board the ship they didn’t see it again until their flight was over. Previously, passengers had to claim their luggage in the cruise line terminal and deliver it to an airline check-in station in the bus loading area. When asked for confirmation of these reports, a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson emphasized that this is a test. All aspects of the program are subject to change, and the program may not continue beyond the test period. Additional information was not available

Let's hope that they keep this up. It would be great!

Ya kno...

... even if we NEVER ever met... this is STILL a fun diversion. We make friends and share travel tips, ideas, shoot... anything that can be WRITTEN ABOUT or an image googled (especially in MY case, eh?)... well... it's all excanged and shared for any to see here. I for one find this is a tolerable diversion. Convenient even.... unlike some diversions... eh?

Not to say - that drinking is a bad diversion... but by comparison DISing has a lower cost and less of a hangover involved...

<chuckles>[/CENTER]

Not to mention that it keeps us home & off the streets at night. ;) :happytv:

Andy glad to hear you guys made it safe and aound. Now please don't rub it in too bad!:lmao: Enjoy t-***** & short weather!

Blacksburg is such a beautiful town!! The Engineering school is just Awesome. Daniel applied to the Pamplin School of Business. It was much easier to get in there when I went!! (I graduated in 79 Pamplin School). Your DH and my DS had a much harder time of it!

Daniel won't be with me on this EB (he will be in his sophmore year at that point). That is why I am doing the WB....just with him. It leaves PC 2 days after he finished exams for his freshman year. We are doing EB so my DD13 and DD10 (who will be in school during the WB) can see the canal!

I win the game as I get to do both!!:cool1: :cool1:

How unselfish of you to make yourself available for each of the cruises so that all of your children can share the experience. ;) :lmao:

From what I've read, they're referring to the interior. I think the port city of Cartegena is safe. There was just an extensive article in Caribbean Travel and Life about Cartegena, and they only advise the same cautions that you'd take in any large American city, or any other port.
I just don't plan on wandering outside the city limits unless on a ship's excursion.

I think we're going to go get a sandwich somewhere....see ya!

Was looking for pictures of The Panama Canal, heres some that I found.

These pictures make the butterflies start. :goodvibes

Yes they do its on the starboard side as we go through it, and they had a person giving a running commentry as we went through.

They encourgaged the Captain to sound the Disney ships horn.

Everyone form the ship were shouting out Hola!!

Locals were also out in car parks, on the bridges etc, I think all ships must be interesting to them, but the Disney ship will be very special and word would get around. You hear them shout Mickey!

What a special time. :goodvibes

Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are missing Verandah man, he usally is up early to chat/post with, but off on vacation!

Oh thanks, it's nice to hear I was missed this morning. :goodvibes

I couldn't go to sleep just yet, trying to ketch up..................:rotfl2:

Just back from Office Max, where I bought the Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with Speed Booster. WPC54GS. I hope this works! :thumbsup2
Now if I could just get someone to install it for me.....:confused3

If you were a little closer I'd come on over and install it for you but it should be very easy to do. Put the cd with the program in the computer, install the software and then insert the card. :wizard:

Starting to get excited for Vacation. We get to spend one day at WDW, beats not going there at all............And we get to meet some of our fellow cruisers !!!!

Mark

Looking forward to meeting you on Friday Mark and Laura!!! ;)

Good Morning Everyone :surfweb:

Thank goodness it's Saturday and I finally have a weekend with no plans :cool1: :cool1:

Hi Mary Ann

Guess what, the Thin Mints didn't make it on the trip, they got eaten a few days before we left............................:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think it would affect my decision to take a 3 hour drive into the interior of the country vs a city or water based excursion....

I'm glad you clarified that, because I had the DIStinct recollection of reading a post that you were going to bed due to only 4 hours sleep the night before
