How about a "Perfect Ten"!

Very good! I just got started and was excited to lose four pounds. I may take out a billboard when/if I lose over 30!

I'm 1.2 pounds away from the 30 mark. I would like to hit that before vacation but I have been pretty much plateaued for 3 months so I am not sure if it will happen.

Thanks for the tip Stace...any idea why the swelling occurs to begin with??

My legs will swell so much that it breaks the capillaries in the legs. Then it itches and burns, not to mention looks ugly. The doctor didn't really know why. Most likely a combination of all that walking and carrying too much weight around, not drinking enough water, and too much salt. And I'm sure the humidity does play a part in it.
But if I start with the Ibuprofen before I get swollen, then I don't get swollen!

On the Blabbermouth thread, we referred to it as "Old lady leg syndrome"....'cause a lot of us got it.

Excellent! Sometimes when I've hit a plateau, if I take one weekend, and eat whatever I want, it somehow jump starts the metabolism.
Or you could try the "fish and asparagus" thing for a couple of days. Eating only that for a couple of days puts you back into ketosis. (fat-burning)

How long of a drive is it?

For us, it is about 20 driving hours. We do stop about every 2 to 3 hours, if nothing more just to get out of the car and stretch for about 10 or 15 minutes. These bodies aren't as young as they used to be................
