DD is in a lot of pain today. We think that it is from having the contrast dye put into her hip. It added a bit of pressure. She can't really get comfortable. I hate that I can't help her. I would take the pain for her if I could.

I guess now tha I am caught up, no news yet. I will send my prayers her way.

Couldn't get on last nite - messages was on main was "upgrades."

Missed DL yesterday as DGS had a stomach bug - kept him home today but it seems he's okay.

Prayers and Well Wishes to those in pain, sick ( get well soon) and those with famly concerns.

Time to fix dinner and start organizing for the drive up to San Francicso on Thursday (6-7hr drive).

It's starting to chill down here too - I am so ready for some really nice weather and can't wait to pull out the spring/summer stuff but there is no way I'm doing that til it warms up!

Currently it is 25 out, but feels like 13. That's probably what it'll be like on my trek to the bus tomorrow AM. OK, actually, I went and looked. For my commute time, it's supposed to be 15, feels like 3. Woo Hoo! Spring.

That just sounds SOOOO far away! I've actually done some serious thinking about what to do between May 07 & August 08. I'll have a whole 4 vacation days to play with. I was thinking of splitting it between October and December, but apparently, taking vacation in December is a big no-no for our Dept and it was just a fluke that I was able to take off for 4 days this past December. However, I casually asked my boss today if he would consider letting me go for 3 days in December and he said to send him an e-mail. At least it's a possibility instead of an outright NO. Not sure if I'll get all the time or even a day, but it can't hurt to ask, right??? We'll see how it goes..... fingers crossed!!

Now, it's time for me to sleep. Even though it's Spring, it's still dark out when I get up. How wrong is that???? Dark and 3 degrees tomorrow. Woo freakin' Hoo!

Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes. Back on February 16th, I saw all the Happy Birthdays for "Curtis". It took me reading about 10 of them to realize they were for my DH.

It is raining here in Washington State....what else is new? At least it is warm enough to go outside between showers. The whole neighborhood was out on Sunday mowing lawns. It was the first time since last fall we'd been able to get out. Our lawn was about 6" of thick, green grass.

We are off to Maui in 9 days. Hope sk8ingmom saves some of the sunshine for us. Our first trip to Hawaii was to the island of Maui in 2004 and we haven't been back until now. We REALLY like the Big Island best, but wanted to give Maui another shot this year.

Am I the only one that doesn't get "The Secret"? I believe the premise is if you imagine something enough, it will happen. I think the idea of "positive thinking" is a good one; but it still comes down to doing what it takes to make good things happen in your life. You can't just lay on the couch and hope to get in shape...you have to get out there and do the work. I don't want my kids getting the message that if they wish for a new bike....it will just appear. Am I missing something?

I also don't get the Secret . Looking at a picture of some supermodel is not going to get me thin thighs. I guess it's my Irish/Italian/Catholic upbringing. You work hard for what you want. And with a little prayer, you just might get it.
