that's just wrong:rotfl:

just kidding - great pics!!!

Good afternoon all!! ..and...

:wizard:HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE AND SAMANTHA!!! :wizard:

I'll see your Star Wars and raise you 2 file boxes of comic books and 3 boxes labeled "sentimental t-shirts". And yes, it all gets moved across the country (or 2) every 3 years.

Rule #1: Packrats should never marry other packrats.
Rule #2: They really shouldn't join the military.

Thanks for reminding me. I have 5 double long file boxes of comics in the garage attic. I have mostly Richie Rich and Disney(especially Scrooge). You got me on the sentimental t-shirt:laughing:  I will raise you all the Strawberry Shortcakes Toys and boxes full of micronauts!!!:thumbsup2
With all the moving, I guess you get to see the things every few years.:cool1: We have been in the same house 35 years now. My DH is not a pack rat unless it is tools. You never know when you might need 175 screwdrivers.:lmao: :lmao:

I also wanted to thank you and your CG family for making our lives easier. You must both be very caring people who feel the emotions of others.:flower3:

I wanted to say it yesterday but I was on an emotional drain. I help chair a Cancer Survivor Celebration every year. We just found out some people will not be able to join us as the big "C" won.:sad1:

:cheer2:

Happy B-Day Mike and Samantha!!!

Seems like a lot of animal lovers here. I'm welcoming any suggestions regarding Morgan, our black and white Bearded Collie. He broke his right rear hind leg on Sunday. I was taking him, Bailey (our other Beardie), and my daughters out to my parents so they could play. Morgan was a rescue, so he's always been timid and he is a drool machine in cars because of his nervousness. Anyway, pulling into my parents driveway, I rolled the window down so he could drool outside the van and he jumped out. The Vet said his upper hind leg snapped with some fragments and that another area had a hairline fracture, but got the leg set. He's still at the vet's, but will come home either later today or tomorrow. Vet said that Morgan had to be immobilized for at least 3 weeks so that he doesn't put pressure on the leg. The best thoughts from the vet were keeping Morgan in a large crate. Any other ideas on immobilizing a dog?

no advice beyond the crate idea, but:grouphug: and :wizard: for you and Morgan!!!!!!:)

Oh, Lisa....

I noticed a small error below.... I took the liberty of editing it in... ya see, Dr Who travels through time and space in his spinning police box, the Tardis - and he told me who was gonna get the 50,000th!

And good morning folks!

My spouse is about to take her notebook... leaving me with nothing to surf with til she returns later today....
<snif :guilty: >....

Who!

The Doctor said it will not be me as I will be in bed, he didnt say who with though, but Captain, the Doctor really did tell me who will get the 50,000 and its very very interesting, ( I can tell you that you are very very close, but beware Lurkers)

Captain just a small Point of order, old boy..........

He is THE DOCTOR.

The programme is DOCTOR WHO, as Who is THE DOCTOR,

Ok Captain understands it, rest of you dont worry, just move onto the next Cruise post!

Just popping in for a few minutes avoiding work...

Strawberry - All mine are at my folk's house. I have the full original collection. I got it for free. My Dad worked for American Greetings when I was a kid. I was the little girl in the catalog for the first national launch of Strawberry. Care Bears launch too and some random Holly Hobbie stuff. I don't think I got paid, but the swag was great & the crew took me to McDonalds! That is the extent of my modeling career. I think my cute wore off about 6th grade.

CG - No thanks necessary. We love our lives (most of the time) & DH actually gets paid to do his job!

Big C- :grouphug: That must be so hard. Try to focus on celebrating what you have and the extra time your friends had by surviving, whether it's one year or 20. My mom never made it to survivor status, so I can only imagine what an emotional event this is. I don't think the average person spends nearly enough time celebrating life.

:thumbsup2 , to micmse...."ca. group!" , after we did our 99 family
cruise my wife's father...developed intense itching over his abd. area.
we he got tested..he had ca of the pan., they thought it was operable,
but no..open& shut case....however, his family refused to give up..
that was nearly 7 years ago...:goodvibes that what a family can do!

* we believe in st. jude! and make a wish!

dear joel?..so sorry for your precious dog { }...i am not sure if
it is possible to totally control an active dog...big/small...but maybe
if you have a portable kennel, make the enclosure smaller to limit him?
* there are experts at work..i'll ask them.

justm. :yay: ...you really bring alot of fun to our site...it so neat how
you sneak in on your kids!

wow, the seat belt conversations are so relevant...in generally, most
do not recognize how "fragile" life sustaining mechanisms are,
cesation can occured in less than a second... what valuable insights!

:offtopic: , it made me felt :sad1: when the croc. hunter died....if
only someone with "atls" skills was there...just maybe the outcome
could have changed! .......in some areas esp. defiribators....we have
progressed very well, [ i can remember working icu & the "old" ones
were very heavy,bulky..and could everyone nearby ..if the user did
not followed the safety instructions.] oh God, i just wish we would
used more common sense....being a combat nurse, i was xposed to
ballistic injuries....based on that, i don't understand why we are not
utilzing "chemical agents" to aid the body to staved off the #1 cause
of death {from ballistic injuries} ...bleeding..there are agents that
our medics could insert and "spray" inside the injury where the
surrounding vessels "contract" to slow bleeding down..just maybe
making it to the aid station. these are our boys getting hurt!
again ..to sk8.... and thanks for all your family doing.

[ i know of the pressures on the "home front" where all the family
resps. falls on those left behind! ] . you are not alone! :flower3:

Well...

... at least your kids are not chanting you're a Dr Who nut like I am... among other things for which I have a nutty passion for...

It's a cool animaton of a nut and bolt.... OK?

Very funny, (ps they can fly)

Love all you other pictures! CC.

Oh no the Restrooms on level 52!

Air bags. My Liberty has a sensor that if the passenger doesn't weigh enough it won't activate it. DD is only 4'5" right now and she is counting down...er up the 4 inches till 4'9" when they say you don't need a booster seat. She wants to sit in the front so bad. Mainly so she can mess with the radio and cd player. She won't sit in the booster seat any more, but I still make her sit in the back. SPT!

He was one of a group the other guys referred to as "The Backstreet Boys". Five good-lookin', early 20's young men who always seemed to be together.

What these stories don't mention is that he married his 20yo wife last May and she is about three months pregnant...and a widow.

I'm still sick over this. We are having a family meeting with chaplains and counselors tonight. I know it will be good to go, but I am not looking forward to it.

Oh, i am so sorry to hear this. Poor Morgan, Poor you!!! I know that when Gracie ripped open the skin on the inside of her hip area. (you know that really thin piece that runs from the leg to the stomach, tecnical term anyone?) she had to have emergency surgery and her we are at home with this dog with a huge rip in her leg where we could see all the tendons and stuff and we had to try to get her in the car and into the vets (she apparently didn't realize she was that hurt and thought it great fun to go for a car ride) Well afterwards they said to keep her down for a few weeks to allow the cut to heal and stuff. Well if you know Weims they don't "do still." Right Esteri? So we had to put one of those nasty E-collars on her and then she was drugged up on pain and sedatives and caged for almost the whole time. It was horrible but she healed faster that way and you can't even see where she was injured which is pretty good since there is no hair in that area. So my advice is get something to help Morgan relax and use the cage. we did bring Grace out to the couch at night so she would lay with me on the couch so she had some people time too.

I doubt that I will let the kids sit in the front even after they turn 12. When I read that a woman 5'5" is in danger of injury riding in the front seat with an airbag....that made me rethink it. I put the seat as far back as possible.
Lisa, good luck with that. My kids didn't handle that really well. They always fought to ride shot gun. Funny thing is that DS is 2 years younger then DD but he is so much bigger that he could legally ride in front before she could.

Just popped in and saw the airbag talk. I am only barely 5'2"...and try to keep the seat back as far as possible. Jordan is getting her driver's license in the next day or two, and she's no taller than I am. She puts the seat waaaay too close and it drives me nuts!
Oh me too!! I'm 5'2 and Mark thinks I lay down to drive. DD is on top of the wheel. Scares me to death. Thank Goodness out new truck will have adjustable pedals.

This is just so very sad. Lots of prayers being sent from here.

I did get a call from the Dr. office today about the scheduling of the next test for DD. What is it about those guys that makes you want to just scream? Sorry to any medical professionals here. I'm sure you guys are so much more helpful. They called to tell me that they can get DD in for the next test on May 29th!!! Two whole months from now.

The lady says, " I am sure you aren't going to be happy with this" Darn right, I am not happy, I am furious!!!!
She said she would talk to the doctor and see if she can get me a better date. I was think, why didn't you do that before you even called me.

Then I asked "so if this is the date we stay with and it ends up she needs surgery when do you think it would happen, Early summer?" "oh no, she says probably the end of the summer at the earliest" Am I suppose to be okay with that? :scared1:
DD has lost a year of her sports life as it is now. How do we tell her "guess what honey? looks like another year with out basketball and track and dance?" :confused3 :confused3
Very frustrated here in Michigan. At least the sun is shining and it is warm.
