Hi All
We just got backfrom DL - had tons of fun - DGS has been afraid of roller coasters - and anything that gets real dark - but today he rode Thunder Mountain Railroad and is now feeling like a big kid and very brave. And "it went fast Grandma!"
I am so tired - I'm going to take a quick nap before dinner - I'll probably miss the chat tonight - I'll join in one of these Fridays!
I think I'll just give up on trying to ketchup!

I know! My poor, poor tulips, I hope they don't die. It's just disgusting. We're supposed to have a playoff game tomorrow against Worster Rugby Club. The game is still on. I hope the forfeit. They have to travel from Mass.

They might forfeit . . . my sister was in town Wednesday through today, and caught the noon Acela back to Boston. She called to say that the train was delayed and the roads in Boston are bad. Much better to have them forfeit than to have to play rugby in piles of ice!

I don't envy the bagpipe players and their cold fingers in the parade tomorrow! Usually we walk over to Fifth for a while to watch the parade, but I'll decide tomorrow if we do want to wander over or not . . .

Seriously, I couldn't agree more. I love it that this thread gives us a chance to get to know one another and be pals! That's way more meaningful to me than simple cruise planning info, which is easy to access on page 1 and which I am sure will be even more plentiful as the months roll by. Right now I'm just loving the opportunity to have fun learning about my future cruise buddies!

Well, up to date for the time being, still no smilies though, how sad.

Angelina has off from school today due to Teacher's Inservice, so I get some extra free time for myself this morning. Woke up a little before 4am feeling a bit under the weather, so decided to stay home today and rest. Going back to lay down and hopefully get some more sleep, see y'all later...........

Besides, it's not like we'd see one inside the netted swim areas on CC.

Yeah the netted area didnt work too good for the DS5 ...got attacked by a jelly fish when we were there in DEC for the Double Dip cruise ....

didnt hear about that Todd.... I have seen the barracuda that come through the nets though.....

My DD was stung by a jelly fish in CC on our DD in October.

When we were at CC in Aug. we saw a jelly fish & a sting ray! My kids would NOT go past their ankles once they saw them. At one point the photographer came by & asked if he could take a pic of the kids in the water w/ the Magic in the background...well they refused to get in. So I had to wade in & show them their was nothing to be afraid of. Told you..we're a family of chickens!

To keep them from freezing to the windshield.

We're having more ice then sn*w. Putting the wipers up prevents keeps them being frozen to the windshield. It makes cleaning the windshield off easier and you don't have to worry about ripping the rubberblade off (like I did one ice storm long ago).

That is so funny that should be having this conversation (well funny to me after a couple of margaritas at Aculpulcos) but as we were leaving the restaurant (in 6 inches of snow mind you & it's still snowing to beat the band & very windy! WTH happened to the 70 degree weather???) I saw a pickup with his wipers off & I said, "Well that's clever, how come we never do that?" Doh I only leave in the NE, you'd think I'd know that trick by now??? Okay still not caught up, but ready for chat! Just excuse me if I sound a little dizzy....I am!

I am really getting tired of all of the OFF-TOPIC stuff on this link--can't we JUST HAVE a cruise thread???? and now the flames will start! well, i have on my fireproof shorts! i am just so tired of all of the non-essential stuff on here! can we move it to another link and just have this be cruise related, Please?

Sorry, but on a cruise thread it is not just "cruise planning" that is discussed. We are here to get to know one another and support each other thru some rough times. I know that I don't have time to keep up with more than one thread...not sure about others. Have you not read the first post to see the important information there? It also tells about the website which will have everything consolidated in more detail. We currently have almost 500 people signed up for this cruise in the DIS group just with members & their immediate families....not counting extended family & friends...which would probably push it closer to 700 people. With this many people there are going to be a lot of posts.

Feel free to start another post if you would like to talk about the cruise with just a few others. There is a single's thread already started.
