I entered for San Diego. Did you get an email verifying receipt of your entry or just one saying you did not make it?

I have not received any emails and I thought my entry went through okay.

Mine came from THA SF and had Pirates of the Caribbean in the subject line. I don't remember getting a confirmation email, just this one today. Maybe the other locations are not taking standbys?

At this time the Ultimate Pirates Fan screening/event for Sunday March 18th in San Francisco is full.

However, we do anticipate some drop-offs from our guest list and therefore we will have a Stand By/Rush line at the theatre. If you are still interested in attending the event you are welcome to come to the theatre and check in for the Stand By/Rush line.

**IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: You are not guaranteed admission to the theatre. All guests in the Stand By/Rush line will be admitted on a first come, first served basis until the theatre is full. We are limited to the seating capacity of the theatre. Those dressed in pirate costumes will be let into the theatre before those who are not dressed in costume.**

I'm still trying to figure out if I'll go chance it or not. Probably will but I'm trying to throw together a pirate outfit.

The only place I have ever had really good "real" NY pizza was in NYC - my stepfather used to say that it was because of the water. When we moved here to Kingson I figured we would still get good pizza - WRONG!!!! Even though one of the main reservior's that serve NYC is less than 10 miles from here, our water comes from a different reservior. My stepfather changed his story after that - said not only does it have to do with the water but the pipes it travels through .

Palm trees!!! I can't wait to see palm trees - wish I was seeing them now! We're supposed to be getting around 18 inches of snow by sometime on Saturday . I'll be stopping at the liquor store tomorrow to stock up on supplies.

My DH makes real NY pizza. We even had a shop for a few years. He worked for Sbarros as mgr and then field supervisor. After all these years, we just got used to what is here. There are many small places that carry NY style pizza.Once in a while, we'll get some dough and make our own. Have a stone for the oven and it's ok but it's the water. When he made the dough down here it just wasn't the same. Definately different than what he had up north.
Same thing with the bagels.

So I guess they are all early. But the more I think about it, the movie is almost 3 hours long, plus all the events they'll be having. It will be a long afternoon. I am so jealous. I hope I still make it in.
