This cracked me up! I wonder how many things Cheryl is trying to do at once??? :rotfl:

Sounds interesting? Do we need mining gear? :rotfl2: Sorry Cheryl, had to harass you about something! Too many things to multi task!

I am so looking forward to meeting you all!

Lets see......I got all the 200 people organized for the Cancer Celebration Sunday..........I found my missing Dis family and had to redo the linking again redoing my spreadsheet, got insurance on new car straightened out, worried that not everyone was invited to the mini meet so posted that, talked to DD while she is in S. Carolina looking up her ressies for a room and I wanted to fertilize my flowers outside. I also was making up a to do list at CVS for tonight and called about my Hep A second shot. All this was done in a time frame of less than 2 hours.

This was pne of my quieter days...........when DD is in town much more hectic!!Who says empty nesting is boring!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I'm just going to burn someday.....

All I can do not to post a "So a Priest walks into a motel...." joke of some sort.

Most airport hotels will have "layover" rooms. Really designed for flight crews who come in early and leave same day, but they make a good $$ on travelers too.

You will have me their for a friend too!!!

BTW............Great newsletter!!!! I bet you will not miss doing that!!!  ;)

As long as you don't use "priest" and "layover" in the same sentence!!! :rotfl:

I really have to second that, Tom. The newsletter was phenomenal. Our bookkeeper is so jealous right now that I have to make sure I hide all my tickets or she may just try to go in my place! :)

When AirTran did this to us, I called to complain and they changed us to a different flight (not great, since we now aren't flying out until 5PM) we still have our 2 bags each, seat assignments, no extra charge, and all that - just a different flight.

Pamela

I was wondering if all of the flights would be moving and shifting now that the time is getting closer. Nothing like last minute changes before a big trip. :faint:

We bought 3 copies when HP came out since we all had to read it immediately!

:lmao: Glad I am not the only one. I sure hope I do not gain more than a couple of pounds while to WDW next week. We have really good ADR's so it just might not be possible. :hyper:

I have been reading the HP books nonstop. I have always been a fan of the movies, but I am trying to get the books all read before the cruise. I am on the fifth one now.

And I am so ready to be prepared to gain some weight while at WDW for free dining after the cruise. We have some great ADRs too!

Dreams have sorted out all of my ADR's at Disneyland so my meals are all set and I have booked a day room at Hyatt MCO Orlando after the cruise as we do not fly out until 5pm that night.

At least we have a place to rest after the cruise and use of the roof top pool.

Most things organised now, just two months to go.:thumbsup2

I KNOW!!! I am starting to print out my door magnets and am already getting overwhelmed at how much still needs to be done. I did mostly get things ordered that need to be shipped though...at least I think. I also think that I have all transportation modes made, all hotels made, and everything arranged. I have to go from point A (DL) to point B (cruise) to point C (WDW free dining).
And I promised DH I would not be rushing around last minute again....LOL

Just popping in to say hi..

Yucky day today..I don't feel like dis'ing either...

Hope all is well...

Chrissie

I would expect changes since most airlines have announced that they'll be cutting out flights after the summer. Maybe not till after we get back, dunno :confused3

Love HP too!! Still haven't seen the most recent movie though. Hard to go to movies with an 18mo old!

You mean, I'm supposed to start doing stuff now? Oh....

I finally got Mickey DCL mail!! The letter says "Printed on 09-May-2008" and the outside says "Time sensitive material" and it also says our hassle free date (which really wasn't) and our final payment date. Gee thanks it's so helpful to get this over a month late!

Wow - where is everyone this evening? DS is off playing with a friend and DH is off mowing my parent's lawn (they are still on their Baltic cruise - they'll mow ours in August :cool1: ) so here I have some free time to spend here and no one's around!

OK. Here is a topic I don't think we've discussed yet. What are the best non-alcoholic beverages on board? Obviously, there is the drink station on deck 9 and I've had strawberry smoothies. Someone posted that they actually have chocolate smoothies, so I'll have to try those. Has anyone else discovered any other really cool beverages sans alcohol?

Long ago, when we stayed on a tiny caribean island called Bequia, the bartender would give me the fruit juice mix they used for their local rum punch which was fantastic. I have a friend that always makes me a non-alcohol version of whatever drink she is serving at a party and some of them have been really tasty - does DCL have anything like that?

Pamela

Hey Pam! Hey all. Just got back from dd's softball game and it's freezing out there! Sandals and capris, not warm! DD's team won. I'm the snack person for Thursdays game maybe I should make hot chocolate! I've got Rice Krispy Bars and Hawaiian Punch.

I can't believe our trip is getting closer!

I may be wrong, but I think Disney offers a non-alcoholic version of most, if not all, of the drinks of the day. I didn't have a smoothie on our cruise last time, so, I'll have to try one. I love smoothies!! I did have a non-alcoholic Konk Kooler on Castaway Cay. It was yummy!!! However, in that environment, I think almost everything would be yummy!

Hi everyone! Been checking the boards here and on the pirate zone. I am getting so excited. I can't believe how close it is, and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone. We went to DL last week and DD told everyone about there about the cruise.

For those of you who haven't checked out the DL website, they have park maps that you can print at home. They don't have the beautiful maps you can order like WDW, but at least you can customize them.

A better drink than chocolate smoothies? Could such a thing possibly exist? The mind cannot conceive of such a possibility....:cool2:

Dumbness

Just a reminder about the mine meet on July 12th in West Chicago!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: So far Susan and DH, Tracy and Bill,Tina and DD, John and Me, And of course Pamela, Dan and Darrah. Not sure about the watchman form Lombard???? Anymore that live in the Midwesst????:confused3 :confused3

I just got confirmation that my driving partner who isn't my DH (it is DS16) and he is willing to go! So looks like I will be booking a room at the Pheasant Run Resort right now! We are probably going to drive down early Friday afternoon and chill out at the hotel Friday evening and Sat. morning. I am really really excited.

I am not sure who will all be coming out of the 7 of us, but it will at least be me, DS16, DD10 and DD3. I am not sure about the other 3, but at least I can make it! Yippee!!

Well...... I couldn't leave well enough alone. With this being the Trip of a Lifetime and all, I just switched us from HoJo's to the Grand Californian!

Cheers!

Happy Anniversary Debi and Kevin!!!!!!!

* However, I filed a claim for shipping damage and they are remaking a new one ...AND I'm keeping the iold one!* Perhaps I can super glue this "damaged" one and end up with 2 for the price of 1!
Crash I never heard, how did Alicia like her present?
