It's a Nikon D40 SLR. Light and easy to use. I'm enjoying it thus far, especially playing with the zoom function on the telephoto lens.

Tropical night question
OK, is this a dress up event like pirate night? If so, what are you ladies going to wear? DH will wear his tropical Mickey shirt - am I expected to turn up in a grass skirt?????

TIA for your input (valid or other wise!)

Celestine

I came across this skirt this morning.

Good morning everyone. Had a great day yesterday hiking to a cave and finding a really scary spider sitting in his cone shaped web and then dinner with friends! No time to completely ketchup, but I did see the countdown calendar... It's really neat, but did anyone else see that it's not correct? Tomorrow is day 75 (I can finally book excursions!) In July, the 18 and 17 are in the wrong spot!

You sure you were not wearing these SLIPPPERS in that cave the other day?

Just a drive thru posting to wish everyone good morning! We are off in just a few minutes to the park.

Have a great day!

AHHHHH! Please post a spider warning prior to scary spider pix! I HATE spiders and those slippers totally creep me out! LOL

Wii - Fit is so much fun. I got mine for my bday a few weeks ago and the entire family has been "playing" with it. It is easy, fun and yes you can feel the difference! Favorites....hula hooping, skiing, ski jumping and the yoga poses.

Needless to say... it is MANDATORY that everyone wear tropical garb - preferably Disney inspired tropical wear otherwise one risks being served rocks and dusty sand during the party....

OK.. I think we're getting out the door for breakfast now.... TTFN!

anyone have any information or has ever done an ATV tour in Aruba?
DH and DD11 are looking to do one. They have never been

The kids really does have a flair. They had poetry night at school last week and he was one of the few who 'performed' his. I wish he would just embrace his talent. He loves to do that kind of thing, but he's embarassed. I guess at that age it is difficult to be interested in something that other kids think is unusual.

Find a local Children's theater NOW!!!! ;) Then he can see that there are lots of children that perform all the time!!! He (and probably you) would be surprised how many children do theater......
Most of the shows that my children are in have from 80-120 kids audition and these are not the same kids all the time! LOL!

Elvis (my 10ds) wants us to get him an agent and then get him some paying gigs! LOL!!! Right now he does community theater. The girls have always found theater fun to do but, didn't want it to be their entire life. 17dd won't even audition at one of the theaters because you usually have to give up 2 - 3 months for 1 show. ;)

M -- find a REAL drama class for him. Taught by someone with a degree in Theater or with lots of theater experience. It can make such a difference!

I have nothing to say except that was one of my fav episodes!

He spent 2 weeks at a theater day camp last year and loved it, but decided that he didn't want to do it again. :confused3

DH has spent a lot of time on that base. Forget camping! We're staying at Great Wolf. :) Here's my race. My goal is to not be last in my age group! In my defense...the 35-39 age group is usually the fastest. Late 30's, early 40's is peak time for endurance sports. Look at me...I'm peaking...and my goal is to not be dead last!

Do you think that he thought it made him *weird*? You never know what goes through the mind of a child! LOL! Do you take him to live theater productions? Maybe he needs to see others actually in a *real* show.

We've stayed at that GW Lodge!!! Have fun!!!

In my attempt to get back into a 34" waist tux (yeah dream on Andy), I got back on my mountain bike the past two days....now my knees are telling me to go slow - pass the Advil please.
Well the Wii Fit will be here in a couple of days, so I'll see how that goes - can you really loose weight playing a video game :happytv:

Andy

I have got to find some flat areas to bike....my knees have been bothering me when I bike our neighborhood....
10ds wants the Wii fit -- which we think is odd since he is always outside rip sticking, etc... DH thought it might be fun, though!

I'm going to wear a Tropical print dress or skirt!

The hiking sounds like great fun -- I'm assuming you live somewhere cooler then I do! LOL! DH and the kids would love to see the web -- did yout ake pics????? DH alwys takes tons of pics of those types of things.....

I LOVE that skirt!!!! I am a skirt/dress person!! That is what I usually wear during the day since they are cooler then pants/shorts.

I'm going to let DH & Ds see this!

I can second that!! DD has been doing Children's Theatre for 4 years now (though she doesn't auditions or do anything outside of the class productions) and it has made a huge impact on her confidence in all areas. I know it has helped her in school!:) It has become so popular here that new groups and classes are being formed all the time! When we started there was basically only one option especially for grade school kids.

About tropical night: I have a tropical Mickey dress that I bought before the last cruise. I bought DH a Mickey shirt last year at Disney store! I splurged big time for us and bought him a Tommy Bahama for his birthday this year - he knew what it cost and made me return it, saying the Mickey would do just fine! :) Not sure about DD, still have to find her something!

:wizard:

Finally a decent weeked for us!!! :worship: :worship: I am going to spend the rest of the day sitting outside in a lawn chair!!:woohoo: Work is all done and I am going to catch up on my Stpehen King books I have not read!!:yay: :yay:

G'mornin' pirate:s

Made GIANT note to remember to pack WDW APs. I'm worried about that one. 8 hours at WDW 18 days later may not be at the top of my mind when I'm packing! I may stick them in my passport.

Need to make spreadsheep for dinner outfits etc. - you know so we don't clash, but aren't all matchy-matchy. Someone please tell DH that I'm not the only one who does this!
:

That reminds me, last weekend I got one of those extendy folder thingys. It opens and has several slots for papers etc. It has 13 slots so I have labeled them things such as Transportation to LA, transfers, onboard info, Disney World etc. So my WDW APs are already in the WDW section. I also have a section for each port where I have printed out the helpful hints etc.

It is very nice to keep me organized and I can put important things in it and know that they are safe!

And, yes, I started a spreadsheep too with all my clothes etc. :)

To Rockolamamma (Michele) and all others scheduled for Rhythms of the Night

I have read the same reviews you have about the excursion. Some say it's the best thing in Puerto Vallarta and others say it's a Booze Cruise. I was looking for something different for that evening because it's our anniversary. I was thinking Palo or this excursion. I couldn't book both so I went with Rhythms of the Night. I'm hoping for great weather and calm seas that night. It would have been nice if the West bounders had been able to do this excursion so we could have had their reviews. Anyone else have some thoughts?

I have too few posts to send you a PM so I'm posting this here. I guess I better get busy and get some more posts.

Happy June 1st everyone.

Now the serious question.......for the Cliff Divers, how far away from the divers are we going to be? I'm trying to work out what kind of lenses to bring on the TOAL and this is the current unknown bit I'm missing.

Andy

We have the Wii Fit and I love it. I think it will work if you do it regularly and it is fun. AND, all my kids play it, but it doesn't seem to understand that kids are still growing and it keeps yelling at my DS13 to lose some weight...:faint:

You can lose weight with Dance Dance Revolution too and it is really fun!

I'm still frustrated not knowing my stateroom number. I talked to reservations today and they said it could be up to the day of sailing before we know the stateroom. Are they going to attach a trailer to the back of the ship if they have run out of rooms. We're guaratee cat. 5. It seems it would be easier to assign cabins than to field all the questions. I have a Royal Caribbean cruise for next Feb. with only a deposit and have a stateroom and have had the stateroom assigned on every other cruise I've ever booked. I wish they would tell us what the problem is!
