Tom has requested a list of liquor stores close to the Double Tree in San Pedro. Here is the link Liquor Stores in San Pedro. I will had this to the planning board under Pre-Cruise. I will see if I can get some photos tomorrow.

More concerned if they are real liquor stores as opposed to that one across from DL that has red and yellow wines

Oops, sorry 1988!!!! We were in our 2nd year of college at OSU, and living in the same dorm. That would be a heck of a thing if we were 30 yrs old with a small child living in a college dorm!

Roger, maybe you could help us out with this issue -- those of us planning the pirate buses want to make a liquor stop between DL and San Pedro -- but there will be three buses, likely carrying 50-60 people each (yes!) . . . so can you think of three places on the larger size (with plenty of registers) on the way so that we do not clog up one place and delay our arrival to the port?

Julie there are 3 large super markets around DL. Most of our super markets carry an excellent supply of spirits and wines. They are usually open at 6am and should have plenty of registers.

In San Pedro they will all have a fine selection of MD 20/20, Boonesfarm and Gallo by the gallon.

Ummmm....I live about 8 miles from Philadelphia, and I'm not a Pillies fan. (And I like the Eagles even less- some of my friends are over-the-top obnoxious Eagles fans so that turned me off)

I just wanted to share with everyone how completely cool, and astonishing, and gratifying this community is. There's no one "in charge", yet everyone contributes what they can and no one feels compelled to do more than they are able. (At least I hope not.) We are each doing what we do best, and relying on others, with different strengths, to cover the rest.

Happy Friday One down, 2 to go ... New Year's Resolutions that is This year I resolved to 1) sell our house 2) find us a new home 3) get a new/better job

I am happy to report that I have been scarce around here this week because after a little bit of back-and-forth, DH and I accepted an offer on our house yesterday Only one teeny tiny issue ... the buyers want closing on August 29th Already told the Realtor, "that AIN'T happening"

Now I'll be spending my long weekend house hunting and resume mailing

woohoo so exciting!

I'd love to sell ours this summer too, but I don't think it's gonna happen!

Party In My Room !!​

After much hand wringing, teeth gnashing and a flurry of emails, I found out yesterday that my TA was able to get us upgraded to a CAT 6 (GTY don't ya know)

We'll be the room with the open door. Come & hang out with us !!

DD8 just showed me a birthday card that she made for her friend's party tomorrow. It was really cute, with a really colorful design on it. then i opened it up and saw that she wrote "You're the beast!"

I did point out the mistake, so her friend will still be her friend.

luckily there was still security guards on duty in the other bldng near my and they let me in to use the phone...(of course i had to talk them into letting me in as my security badge was in my purse too...)

I locked myself out of the house the other day. I had to call DH from his police detail to pick up my son at school & to let me in! The construction crew asked him if I was blond & he said, if you count those highlights she gets from a bottle!

Garage Sale!!!!!!!!!!!!​

I am doing one again tomorrow. We have to get a permit and I am only allowed 2 garage sales a year!! The goodnews is I made $268 dollars today!!

We need desperately to have one too, but I am so overwhelmed!

Julie there are 3 large super markets around DL. Most of our super markets carry an excellent supply of spirits and wines. They are usually open at 6am and should have plenty of registers.

Just a suggestion..maybe each bus could pick a different supermarket? That way it will move quicker and you won't be delayed.

Roger, that is EXACTLY what we need -- we are going to assign the different buses to pick up from different hotels and have a different "point person" on board, and we will assign in advance going to different supermarkets. I will save that map for our reference.

I'm usually the person who will unknowingly make a comment that everyone else takes to the gutter, and I stand around saying "What, what did I say?"

In California? Nope. The only restrictions are that you can not buy alcohol from 2am-6am 7 days a week.

Can you think of a different, larger supermarket between Anaheim and San Pedro, then? The only other thing would be if we stagger the times of the buses at all, but honestly most people wanted to get to port ASAP.
