Well we got our passports..now they will let me on the ship :)

Maybe?? :confused3

Thanks all!! This birthday was actually quite depressing and I normally don't take birthdays that hard. Although I'm trying to stay upbeat, I just have a hard time saying I'm 40.

It beats people having to say you're dead!

I would love to say I'm only 40! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm in my *mid* forties...which I will be unitl the day I turn 50! :rotfl2:

Trying to keep up with everyone, so apologize if this has already been discussed.

Read Laura's blog about the first ever sleepover for the 7-10 year olds in the lab. My DS10 loves sleepovers and will be very excited if this happens on the EB repo. However, my DS6 will definitely let his temper be known that night!! He just won't understand about "next time".

Then off to my first follow up with the Onc. Dr since treatments completed. I have been officially been declared.......CANCER FREE!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Got an appt for my 6 month follow up.

:cheer2: Congratulations on the good news, Mary Ann :cheer2:

Have fun celebrating!

Did you ever have those days were everything goes RIGHT? Yesterday was one of those days for me...

We fired up the pool pump last weekend and was not working properly. Now, DH's only job with the pool is to get that pump going and I do the rest for the entire summer. To say we were having some heated discussions (he was being a typical guy - ya know, like a man asking for directions), about him refusing to call a professional to ask for opinions, is an understatement. Well, he finally asked and figured it out yesterday. Plenty of time for me to clean it up and heat it for the summer-like weather that is coming in this holiday weekend.

Had a teacher meeting - DD got a less than stellar progress report. They send these out in between the closing of the marks. Well, turned out to be no big deal. She had missed a couple of assignments from an absence and just being lazy. That, I can handle/fix. Then, more importantly (I know, priorities), I had not mentioned anything about the cruise yet. She will miss the first three days of school. She is in "Looping" and will have all the same teachers next year. Even though I know they are pretty cool teachers, I was still a little nervous about bringing it up. Well, NO PROBLEM. Her Social Studies teacher will give an assignment related to Panama Canal (which will be fun stuff - he gives weekend homework like hug a tree and stuff like that), and the report we are going to do over the summer and cruise on the PC will be perfect. She will present it to the class when she returns. Whew - one more thing out of the way for the cruise.

It has been quite a winter and I want to say Thank you :thanks: to all my DIS freinds who have offered up such wonderful support through postings, PM's, cards, a little surpise gifts. It is appreciated more than I can ever express :grouphug: :grouphug:

The "Neighborhood Ladies" are taking me out to a local pub Friday night to celebrate. Since I have a designated driver I think I may just have a drink...or two :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1:drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :faint:

That's awesome, rockin' fabulous, the bomb, all that & a bag of chips !!

I am hoping my DD doesn't find out. She is 11 and will be one of the ones in Quest for the trip. She loves sleepovers.

I have not had a good stretch of work here this week. We are in the midst of remodeling our pharmacy department and we have now been moved into an area that would resembles a goldfish in a dixie cup. Even worse yesterday a group of 6 people show up to do physical inventory. :scared1: Today the State Board of Pharmacy shows up and I think they are a couple of drug reps and give them the brush off. :scared1: :scared1: Yesterday the IT department was crawling all over our department and interfering with my DISing :rotfl2: . Seems like every time I logged into the DIS they would remotely access my computer. :sad2:

Did they come with gifts/food? :rotfl:

Oldest son works in DH's IT dept so, DH and DS can do lots of stuff online that no one else in the company can..... ;) DS also arranged it so that my mom has interent access and no one else in her dept does.... He did have to tell her to not tell anyone... Outside of DH. ;)

OK, I gottta go now but before I do so ...

An Open Apology...

Hey, dude . . . I've seen that on lost of different venues already. I didn't take any offense. I thought it was rather Hillaryious.

Oh mansfield ain't that far! In fact mansfield is pretty darn close to the fabulous place that our dog Tramp will be "living" for a couple weeks during our cruise. LOL
Hey, I'm up for a shopping trip in Hillsboro!
and maybe if'n you want you can come over to the house and swim with us this summer. :)

We would love to swim with you! The IL's won't have a pool next door until next summer...... The house won't be finished until the Fall! :)

I'll PM you all my *details*

OH we know! That's why I refused to book anything that said walking tour or in the description said "wander here, wander there". I know what wander means- it means walking! We took the tour in Costa Maya- and we know now that walking tours in that kind of heat and humidity is NOT our cup of tea! We loved the 2nd part of that excursion (at the family's house for outside lunch, kids learned how to make tortillas, etc.) but the 2hr walking tour before it at the ruins.... NO THANKS to anything like that again! no no no .
we thought we could handle the heat- we're from Texas after all- but that's a whole diffferent kind of heat than we're used to and besides, even here we don't go walking around outside for hours in the hottest weather! We compensate with a/c in house, vehicles, and tend to spend our summers in water as much as possible (pool, waterparks, lakes, etc.) :rotfl:

Isn't that the truth!!!! We're smart enough to know when to come inside! :rotfl: :rotfl:

What a day!

Any of you north of Chicago know what I'm talking about.

I'm in Mundelein, IL these days on a seminar (going back home tomorrow).

Today was one of those "postcard-perfect" type of days: baby blue skies, cotton puff clouds, 62 degree but sunny and feeling of warmth.

Just a great day to be alive.

So what if I'm still a GTY. So what if I cannot wait for August 17th to come around. So what if I cannot keep up with the fast pace of our pages.

It's just a pretty day and that was enough for me! :goodvibes

I'm in Orlando for work the 22 to 26.....

I get to travel to Orlando on June 3 and 4 for a meeting. Of course I scheduled my flight for early am on the 3rd so I can check into the hotel and HOP over to WDW while I wait for the others to drive over from Tampa. I am going to try and convience them to pick me up in DTD and do dinner at Spoodles.

Happy Wednesday everyone.

--- oooppss I forgot to hit submit this morning ------:rotfl:

Any computer savvy people out there?

Anything exciting come up today?

Congrats to everyone on birthdays, anniversary, and to Magiroux for being cancer free :cool1:
