Is it better to book something with dolphins in PV than nothing at all? We wanted the swim, but only the encounter is avail.

we booked this...it's the only thing that my dk's picked out....
is it not a good one??

Logged in promptly @ 9:01pm PDT, got promptly licked out 8 mins later trying to book Acapulco.

30 mins of "Hassle Free" keyboard pounding later I got back in. All the time I had the DISboards chat going with the Repo Crew :thumbsup2

I finally got everything booked that we wanted with the exception of Tea.

Andy

Had to sign out for a while. My DD just got back from Sedona and the Grand Canyon and wanted me to see the pictures. She got some really awesome pics.

WHat on EARTH is going on here? Didn't we just do a pirate sprint for 2000 like on FRIDAY? And now we're shutting down the thread at 3600+ on SUNDAY? I wasn't even around... you bunch of WILD ANIMALS!

Finally got in around 10:30. It just magically opened up...got all of our excursions and a Palo dinner for 4, along with spa reservations. I will keep trying for Palo brunch and tea. Can't believe it took sooo long to get in, but glad it's all done.

Good night all!

Can you post the address to send a letter? My husband literally just said he wants to cancel if we can't get Palo :(

I'm almost positive you'll get something eventually. If not online in advance, then on boarding day. There are just too many days on this cruise not to get at least one Palo ressie. They'll get you in someway:flower3:

The Encounter usually has less contact with the dolphins than the swim. But if your kids are young it may be fine:confused3
You'll probably get to touch, hug and kiss the dolphin on a platform. The swim has more interaction.

ok, that sounds ok....my kids just want some interaction...they aren't big swimmers anyways...sounds like this should work fine for us. thanks for answering!

Nite all - hope some others had some success. It only took me just a little under 1.5 hours. Last year doing the Med cruise was definatley not this hard. It was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, not that it was good. Now we just need to know our theme nights so we can all rearrange everything.

:scared: ..glad..thats over! crash? have you been stowing in everbody's
room?

..gadszooks..i miss the old..days..when i didn't kno anything/ didn't
care...life was much simpler  . i'm way to old..for this~

[ hey..that's an idea? seniors get to chose..the day before? :duck: ]

Hey! I think I managed to book everything I wanted to book tonite.... < wink >

At any rate - as some might guess - I'm gonna wing it as my family group has a lotta kids and we're doin' the simple things mostly. Going to a nice beach and laying out and just relaxing and "talking story". If we decide to get active we'll just settle for doing whatever we can that has space left - or we'll take excursions later in the day and push the chance we'll miss the boat < eeek > yeah... that's how it's gonna be on this voyage for us I guess....

We did the dolphin swim in Nassau (Wonder 2006), but I'm assuming the excursions are similar.

I was actually surprised it took as fast as it did, even though there were some problems, according to the WB they were up all night. DH and I were also very surprised at how much availability there was even right now, several hours later with the excursions. I am happy we have things planned out but I totally agree that there will be some shuffling a little bit when we find out the schedule of nights.

Well,

Fun evening hey?

How did everyone do?

Tom posted a "sigh"

Captain agreed with the "sigh"

Crash hadn't even tried...

And wonderful Stace hung in there with us with encouraging words and Laura popped in to say hi from somewhere in the Pacific Ocean....

Others said that eventually they got most shore excursions and some Palo.

I had elation then immediate defeat.

Got in right away...all our names were there, we were marked PIF and we were linked together!!!!

Got Acapulco (or so I thought) then got bumped out...

Watched Mickey swim for over 40 minutes trying to get back in....

Then got back in to discover what I thought I booked wasn't there...

Then, got EVERYTHING I wanted except Palo Brunch. Of all the things I wanted though, that was probably the last on my list because we have done it several times already. I thought I missed out on tea, but refreshed and it was there so I got it right away. Had to cancel my spa treatment, but went ahead and got a different time for that.

We have never done High Tea before, so now we have something new to try.

Then, well of course, since I had some trauma, I went ahead and booked a pedicure for me too. That made it all better.

It was fun, thanks y'all and have a great night!

Nicole

2 hours.... Taking day off.. Roll on Cat 3 2009

I just wanted to note this again.....the last day or two while I was looking up times for everyone, I noticed that Disney had added back the excursions that had booked after the 105 day mark.
SOOOO...
If you didn't get something, wait until a day or so before the final bookings open. DCL will probably have released the rest of the ressies (unless they still hold some back for onboard bookings) to prepare for the 75 day people and you can book yours before they do.
