I appologize..I have been informed that someone volunteered their Cat 4 for the tour. I did not see the post. If you would PM..I would appreciate it. I do appologize..I was not trying to ignore you!

Okay Gang -

This is the list of those who expressed interest in joining in on our own Private Tour - I don't have exact numbers for each family -

Wendy (Smeecanada) - ? 4
That's what I have as of now - not accurate on the count though!!

I've added our family number.

I don't think so, Paula -- I've never been to the Derby but from what I've seen it looks like a bigger party than the Belmont . . . now I've never been to the Belmont the "regular" way, only through my friend who owns horses there, so I spent most of the day back in the paddock area having lunch and drinks, and then heading over to the owners boxes before the last few races of the day, so I haven't seen the real party areas, perhaps. Also remember that the Belmont is on Long Island, not really in the city, so you tend to get the real horse lovers (or gamblers) rather than just the day partiers.

My Mom took us to "Breakfast at Belmont" when we were kids. I guess it was a big deal at one time, but it seemed pretty layed back the day we went:confused3

We have so many stars that come in and grand parties--sad to say our annual backyard party doesn't qualify as Grand.

Belmont Stakes--really doesn't list any festivities. It doesn't even have the infield parties like Derby and Preakness. :sad2: You all miss a lot of fun

You'll find me in Rockin Bar D just about every night. Not a dancer though, but I'll be hanging out.

Haven't used the gym. Walked through it with good intentions though.

Is the Rockin Bar D the equivalent to Diversions on the Wonder? If so, you'll find us there as well. We had sooooo much fun in there with CM Ian on the Wonder. Just don't let DH do karoke.:rotfl2:

Newbie cruiser here:yay: and I feel fortunate that I lucked into cyber meeting you all & enjoying the craziness:goodvibes (even when I get SOOOO behind... you guys go sooo fast!)... So I do kinda know what I'm missing and I'm jealous that I'm relegated to having to hope there is enough pixie dust around so I can get some of what I want to book :) Next cruise I'll be with you guys on booking nite.:cool1:

Fortunately, by getting to know you all I was able to find out about the PV zip line (& booked) and the Jolly Pirate (booked).... So I'm only hoping for Cartenga:)... Anything else will be bonus!

Penny...

... this happened to be the 1st posting I read when I logged into our thread to see where I last left off... and I had to say your comments were simply very nice and made me feel good. I know I'm one of the zany ones - possibly one that some wince at when they see i've posted yet another non-sensical bi of dribble... and I imagine there might be a few who crack a steady smle when they come across one of my postings too... so your posting - though it does not refer to me specificly, it sure sounds NICE. And I'l take it as it sounds - that you crack smiles, chuckles, and silent grins with all sorts of nonsense (and practical stuff) that goes on here.

And simply... having spread out the long version... may I now offer the short version...

Penny, thank you for sharing your good will and "smiles". It was well received in Westlake Village tonite! Hope your week to come is a beaaa-Uuuu-tiiii-ful one!

Sooo... on another note... Julianna and I just got in from seeing Iron Man with a freind and his son. It was a nice ride except for a few slightly racy moments - when my daughter knew enough to avert her eyes - and a couple of slightly intense moments. It is highly recommended for the hip action "set" enthusiasts. And we agreed that it was a nice return to the big screen for Richard Dowdy Jr.. Now - I wonder if I can get some cool Iron Man toys off ebay any time soon? I want a glowing blue power disc to wear on my chest!

I had to read about your adventure last night. :) So glad that it doesn't start at 3 am anymore!

I wouldn't count on more times opening up at the 90 day mark based on the fact that they do not do that for the 75 day mark for the excursions or Palo. Also, they don't hold back excursion spots for onboard booking like they do for Palo. Even before everyone could book online and we had to call in once they were gone that was it unless someone cancelled. Sorry but I woudn't want anyone to get their hopes up. I see this posted all the time that they open more spots.

That crushes me. I was really hoping to get one of those excursions through DCL. I cannot believe that they were gone so fast. How may spots did they have? 5??

I guess on to plan B like alot of the cruisers on the WB and just book it through the tour provider myself. I just liked DCL because the transportation was included and I did not have to worry about it.
It is so good to see you Lisa, I had been wondering if you were still coming on the cruise or not.

You and my DH need to get together. He keeps calling Robert Downey Jr Richard as well. we have a developer here in Orlando whos girls used to skate with DD and his name is Dowdy. Those of you visiting the Idrive area may have seen his shopping strips. He also owned the Ice rink /bowling alley.

You posted that Esteri offered their Cat 4 for the tour. If not - I offered mine.

I would hang in there...even today some of them have reopened..I don't know why....who knows. Check it out on your booking night and we might be pleasantly surprised! :wizard:

I am sorry..it must have been you and I somehow missed it. I appologize. She had emailed me that someone else donated theirs...whichever is fine. My brain has completely malfunctioned at this point! One final week of everything Girl Scouts (meetings and award ceremony) and I will be just fine!

Hey - take a deep breath - Relax. Let your back & bruises heal. Lots of time before the cruise to finalize all this stuff!!!! We're all friends here ya know!!!

In the past week, someone was mentioning a children's book author that was similar style to Harry Potter but a summer camp for children of Greek gods. Ring a bell with anyone? I thought the poster said the author was Percy Jackson but I looked at the bookstore today and on the library catalogue and don't come up with anything for this author. Have I got the name correct or can someone give me a title to work with? thanks...

Wendy they were by Rick Riordan "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series.
