YAY! How was your ride?
I went for a few hours - 15 miles, lunch, 15 miles. I took 6 of our big-wig donors. It was fun.

For TOAL, I'm driving down to LA from the San Francisco area. Mostly so I can bring my wine along with me and not worry about how to get it to LA. I've booked a minivan even though it's just DS and I. Needed room for all the luggage and more importantly WINE! I may be able to be persuaded to perform a delivery service since I'm just about 30 minutes from the Napa Valley.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to pass on some information that I received from Disney. When I inquired about the Trainer for A Day in PV, they told me it has been cancelled!! Apparently the ship gets into port too late to do this excursion - I believe it is slated to start at 10 am and the ship gets in for 9:30. They informed me the next closest dolphin excursion would be the "Signature Swim". I did contact Vallarta Adventures, who did confirm this info.

Just as an FYI, in the event someone else wanted to book this!

I have suggested that they take the excursion off the list, to try and aviod some uphappy clients on booking day.

THANKS! This was going to be my big splurge. It sounded like so much fun. I have wanted to do a dolphin excurision now for a while, but never thought it was enough bang for the buck.

Can't believe how close we are getting to the TOAL. The countdown clock is at 101 days until we go. Pretty soon we'll be in double digits. The DL tickets arrived and we've bought the cameras. Today we went out to Costco and they had US Dive snorkel sets as a special in store promo. So, now we've got those (unfortunately more stuff to packet). Anyone else have their own snorkel gear? Are you just bring the mask and snorkel or the fins as well?

Waiting to hear back about an excursion with a fellow DISer in PV and trying to make a decision on Cartagena. Then next week the MAGIC sets sail for the Westcoast and we get to start reading Trip reports. Need to sign up the kids for the kids board and make some door magnets.

I'm going to make a Fish extender as well. Can anyone tell me why they are usually 3 pockets? I was just figuring on doing one pocket.

Yes, I think I've offically shifted into high planning mode. Tax season is over and I can finally just do normal work load for awhile.

FE are whatever you want them to be. Some like to have a pocket for each cruiser, some go for one pocket per cabin. I made mine with 3, not sure why, I just did.

Julie, is the Belmont as much a party time as the Derby is for us?

I don't think so, Paula -- I've never been to the Derby but from what I've seen it looks like a bigger party than the Belmont . . . now I've never been to the Belmont the "regular" way, only through my friend who owns horses there, so I spent most of the day back in the paddock area having lunch and drinks, and then heading over to the owners boxes before the last few races of the day, so I haven't seen the real party areas, perhaps. Also remember that the Belmont is on Long Island, not really in the city, so you tend to get the real horse lovers (or gamblers) rather than just the day partiers.

Hi all,

I'm finally climbing aboard... the DIS Board. Been lurking for months but just haven't had the time to sit down and formally introduce myself. Please forgive this old pirate!

This is our 4th Disney cruise. I'm Amy and I'm cruising with my DS - Matt. We have a GTY-4 for now with late dinner. We're still mulling over the excursions and trying to decide which ones we want to do.

We've signed up at the Pirate Zone and been reading up on all the activities. Wow, ya'll have been busy with the planning!

We're celebrating two graduations -- Matt from high school and mine from college.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Just to let everyone know - DCL won't let me know which date they've (hopefuly) approved until the 30 day mark.
Wench's Brunch: Dates requested: 1st choice -8/21, 2nd choice - 8/27 3rd choice - 8/29. There are other groups that have also requested the private dining room for brunch (including Cheryl for her anniversary celebration 8/24).
Wench's Tea: 8/23 (depending on availability - on the Med Repo the Private Dining room was not offered - we had 2 large tables) 2nd: 8/24

DH and I are working on the back yard a little this evening...trying to get some stuff done before 9:00 p.m...

I am water the flowers and go to turn off the water..flip flops (silly things!) one went one way..one another..unfortunately, my feet were still in them. I landed (and this is the best part) on a bag of recyclables. Now I am lying on the ground..legs bent directions I didn't know they could go...top of my body at a wierd angle...and all I am thinking is..

If I broke something..I refuse to go to the emergency room until after booking! My DH just looks at me like I am crazy for even willing to wait that long...I kindly explained when I managed to crawl back into a normal postion that I am not missing out!

So here I sit..waiting...

Thanks for the support guys. I still can't get in. I'm too worked up to go to sleep, so I'll try it every so often for a while yet. If that doesn't work, I have the name and number of a supervisor that comes in to work at noon tomorrow. I'm sure it will all work out OK tomorrow, I'm just annoyed that I stayed up to book and can't.

Has anyone used the gym on the ship, additionally has anyone done any of the "free" classes they offer?

I am just curious, as I have never been able to work it into my schedule before. (3 day, 7 day mexican & 12 day med) I am thinking I may actually try to use it since I have been seeing a trainer now for 6 weeks (14/15 more sessions till TOAL) and would hate to have wasted the money. Similarly I have never used the pools either. Also, I would love to find those of you who party and hang at Rockn' D and get out there and dance and interact (same for the deck parties) as I have always just watched from a distance due to being with my dad. I know.

I am looking forward to doing tons of things I have never done before on the cruise. Breaking out of my shell. You all seem like a fun group and I am looking forward to my vacation!
