Joel.....Thanks so much!!! So nice of you to think of Kylie yesterday :)

Was a beautiful day. Well, inside the Church, anyway. Outside was rainy. But the Mass was awesome. Kylie read the Prayers of the Faithful. She did a great job.

Now that all of our First Communion planning is behind us, we are full steem ahead for cruise planning! We are SOOOO looking forward to Saturday!

Here is Kylie reading at Mass-

Here is a picture of Drew and Kylie after the Mass. He was still in his server alb.

You will all see her in this dress again on a formal night. :goodvibes

Congratulations! That will be my DD next Saturday! :goodvibes

Well, I don't think you can beat the value in the repo cruises. I look forward to some exciting itinerary changes. We didn't do the Med cruises--hope to do one the next time DCL ventures over. But we have done all the other cruises for the most part. We booked a RCCL for Thanksgiving--just to go to some new ports. St Maarten will be the only repeat for us.

Looks very nice and a nice time to cruise there, we did on Princess one year.
Fort Lauderdale>St. Maarten >St Lucia>Barbados>Martinique>St Thomas>Princess cays. THat was very nice, I liked Barbados so much I went there for Christmas for two weeks one year.
I am doing Tortola next year with DCL.
My best cruise was Fort Lauderdale>Princess cays>Jamaica>Cartagena>Panama>Bilbao>Costa Rica>Acapulco>Cabo>LA. (17 Days)

Jumping in after lurking - we are officially registered with the site. Just can't keep up with everyone.

My DD has gone to the kids site, I am very anxious for my kids to find friends - I know they will. Always do on a cruise. (DS 12, DD 9).

Have they begun sending out cruise docs yet? I always forget stuff, but it seems to me we usually get them pretty early.

I cannot believe this trip of a lifetime is around the corner. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of going thru the Panama Canal. I used to read Richard Haliburton...(he was kind of an Indiana Jones guy in the 20s) and he actually swam thru the Panama Canal as cargo. If anyone can find his Book of Marvels, its a great story for the kids.

We have been ordering PC DVDs and books, etc. My kids will learn if it kills them!!! My son is working on his Merit badges - I bet something on the canal will fulfill some requirement.

It will be very ironic for DH and I to set sail from LA. We were both raised there, got married there, and lived there b4 kids...about 34 years. Haven't gone back but once. My kids have never seen it. Kind of a full circle, circle of life thing!!

WELCOME! I hope you guys are going out a few days early to show the kids where you grew up etc. That will be exciting and wierd I bet! :)

If you figure out something that will work for merit badges... let me know.. My DS12 is a scout too

I caught a glance somewhere of a new underwater video camera, very small...fits in a pocket...shoots 60 minutes of footage at a time....have you heard about this? I do know it wasn't a "brand" name that we hear a lot.

Stace, I bought this. I got it on black friday from the online Apple store. It's a great little camera. It takes still or video.

So I am really looking forward to the new ships:goodvibes

it will be nice when the new ships come to get some new places.im on a cruise in january that has 7 carribean ports 7 days in a row.it will be nice if disney will do something like this. im predicting that one of the old ships will be somewhere in the northeast new york, bayonne etc. that way they can do some differnt intenaries a bermuda cruise a canada cruise a bermuda and carribean cruise combined, and a carribean cruise . than every other summer send it to europe. one year lets say northern europe, than next time it goes there the med, etc. than the other old ship base it in LA they can do mexico cruises like they are doing this year they can do some cruises to hawaii and alaska.

I will never get it, I am going for 2000

Edited to say ...."WOOO HOOOO!!!!!" :pirate:

I finally feel like I am really part of the family now! I will have to change my signature...now just to figure out how to do that! :)

Congratulations Poohmom

Welcome Aboard!! I missed out on the Jolly Pirate...I think.

Did anyone watch the Derby yesterday? It ended up being a nice day, a little chilly. The race was great! Big Brown came from the 20th post to win the race. Eight Belles (the filly) placed 2nd, but collapsed after the race with 2 broken front legs and was euthanized 8 minutes later. It really put a damper on the race.:sad2:

I was watching that and just cried. She did such a great job on the race. I feel so bad for the families involved in her care.

Good news!

Renee, the supervisor at DCL that was working on my issue, was at least able to everything (Both excursions and Palo) booked manually for us. The IT team is still trying to figure what happened, and fix it so that we can view and/or change things. But at least we are (hopefully) booked.

We are doing the Land's End Coastal Tour in Cabo, and then hoping to head over to Medano Beach afterward, though I have no idea what time my excursion is.:confused3

We're doing the Acapulco City Tour with Cliff Divers.

And we booked the Mangroves, Lunch, and show in Cartegena, but we'll probably end up cancelling that one because we really like the sound of the Mr Emerald tour Paula is working on. :thumbsup2

Now if we can just get them to assign Linda's and my staterooms near each other, we'd be set.

ETA: OK, now it's showing up as reserved even though I still have the error. So I can't change anything, but at least i have something. The Cabo tour is from 11:30 to 1:00, so I doubt we'll make it to the beach. We'll proabably just wander and shop a little bit.

I watched it, we had a house full of teens and I made them all come watch it with me. Everyone picked a horse and I picked Eight Belles because she was a girl! It was so much fun to have all of us packed in the Family room yelling and screaming. I was so excited when she came in 2nd! Even the boys were pretty excited that mom's horse did good. Then the teens all cleared out while I kept watching and heard the bad news. I sat on the couch and cried a little. I was so sad (in fact, I am getting teary again). What a sad thing for the trainer/owner etc.

The kids did feel pretty bad that it was the horse I picked and the only lady of the bunch. So they didn't laugh openly at me for crying...that was nice of them I suppose.

I guess that is just the way it is with horses. The kids kept wondering why they couldn't fix her. Of course, they remembered Barbaro, but that didn't end well either. I don't know anything about horses, but I sure wish it didn't have to end that way for her. :(

That looks like an awesome itinerary! I would be more jealous, but we will be in WDW at that time, so we will be happy! We are taking my in-laws for their first visit ever to WDW! I am so excited!
