Gosh guys, talk much?

I skimmed a bit. Busy day yesterday since I have to "work" today. The good news is that it should be fun, the bad news is that it makes for a 6 day work week. I need both days of my weekends if we want to get through the house without the aid of a backhoe!

We spent a beautiful, sunny spring day yesterday...at the rink. 4 hours of tryouts for next year. DS9 seems to have a good shot at moving up, DS7 wasn't terribly impressive, but we'll see. We haven't found the magical thing to motivate DS7 - in anything, not just sports - he's either in the mood or he's not, no matter what the situation. I could care less if he makes the better team, I just want him to try so he has a shot since he says he wants it.

Skimmed the booking adventure last night. I am so dreading 5/19. Maybe I'll have it easier since I'm not booking excursions. MAYBE I'll geet my Palo and spa booked while everyone else is messing with excurions first. Maybe...

Then again, maybe I'll be completely locked out...

Well lets be positive and have faith hope and pixie dust in the system that it will work on the night, I have taken a few things out of the 'lottery' however, Cabo and PV, booked private tours with DCL, and Aruba my own Private tour, so just leaves two ports and even on Acapulco, I am 50/50 on just doing it myself, going to the fort then market at 9.00am.

Who was looking into the "Mr. Emerald" private tour for Cartagena? I looked to see if there was some info on the Pirate Zone but couldn't locate it.

Was a beautiful day. Well, inside the Church, anyway. Outside was rainy. But the Mass was awesome. Kylie read the Prayers of the Faithful. She did a great job.

Now that all of our First Communion planning is behind us, we are full steem ahead for cruise planning! We are SOOOO looking forward to Saturday!

We liked the sound of the Historic Cartagena Old City Walking Tour or our 2nd choice is the Spanish History & Fort of San Jose de Bocachica.

Else we'll just do a 3rd party one or else just wander around on our own.

Trying to figure out why I couldn't make reservations last night. So far the agent and supervisor are both stumped. The show us as PIF, and the ressie has the vow renewal code on it, so we should be good to go, but we aren't.

No, it's not good at all. They don't know why it's not working. Their IT people can't figure it out either. They're supposed to keep working on it, but she took my choices for the excursions and for Palo, and if they can't get it to work today, she'll contact the departments first thing tomorrow to make the ressies manually. From what Stace and Desiree posted, the excursions I want were still available last night. If they're no longer available, I'm gonna be really ticked.

Just remember they only release a % of the shots for the 105 booking, another % for the 90 then a third % for the 75.... balance for the mad dash on ship. So if you don't get it on the 19th, you have another shot before the mad dash (poor first time fools who will be trying to book)...

Jumping in after lurking - we are officially registered with the site. Just can't keep up with everyone.

My DD has gone to the kids site, I am very anxious for my kids to find friends - I know they will. Always do on a cruise. (DS 12, DD 9).

Have they begun sending out cruise docs yet? I always forget stuff, but it seems to me we usually get them pretty early.

I cannot believe this trip of a lifetime is around the corner. When I was a little girl, I dreamed of going thru the Panama Canal. I used to read Richard Haliburton...(he was kind of an Indiana Jones guy in the 20s) and he actually swam thru the Panama Canal as cargo. If anyone can find his Book of Marvels, its a great story for the kids.

We have been ordering PC DVDs and books, etc. My kids will learn if it kills them!!! My son is working on his Merit badges - I bet something on the canal will fulfill some requirement.

It will be very ironic for DH and I to set sail from LA. We were both raised there, got married there, and lived there b4 kids...about 34 years. Haven't gone back but once. My kids have never seen it. Kind of a full circle, circle of life thing!!
