Whoa took me all night to find the current thread! Though, it doesn't look like it'll last through the night LOL. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Terri. We just decided to do a cruise last weekend and started looking at this one, but alas it was sold out. So a few nights ago, we were messing around and trying to find another cruise to do when this one showed up. It was about 10:30pm and we were already tired, but knew that if we did not sign up right then, we'd miss it! So here we are going on our very first cruise! Nice to meet ya all!

Welcome to Saturday, and the Westbounders start their trip today to take the Magic to Los Angeles via Panama, another landmark for our forthcoming trip.

Oh goodness. don't show us or tell us stuff like this. LOL I cannot imagine that happening to me because let me tell you right now- I'd probably die of a heart attack just falling into the open water. I'd be all snorkeling without a snorkel (ie: breathe, look under water for sharks, look above water for sharks/breathe, look under again. LOL) looking for predators just waiting to bite off my legs or something. achhhhhhhhhhhhk I'd have a heart attack or panic attack or something. LOL

We had a good time and DH and I really enjoyed getting to meet everyone again and for the first time. LOL - turns out that Liz and I had sailed together back in May of 2005 - but I was a bit shy at the time so I didn't introduce myself

Seriously, I am shy - until you get to know me - then I get really loud!

That was a year ago (last June)

As Tom mentioned, this happened last year. According to several sources/accounts it was caused by a freak wind storm that came from out of no where. The crew were complimented on their handling of the situation. They have had both boats back in the water for awhile now and everything is good for August

Well - we canceled our WDW portion of the trip - now we will be staying on the boat for the 5 day cruise!! Yippee!!

And yes - I put it on immediately and pranced around the living room in it for a large part of the morning! Just so that the message gets cemented in stone.

1) Laura, HAVE A FANTASTIC trip. Thanks for posting the pix too. I love the shirt!!!!

2) Castoff, I am sure you were personally speaking to me about mothers day. I think you are the first to wish me happy Mothers day. I am being a really nice mom and doing all the laundry and cleaning today so the kids don't have to do it tomorrow. . I am already about 90% done with my chores this weekend! My list of things to do for mothers day is as follows...
Breakfast delivered to me in bed
My kids play a minimum of 3 songs each with me on Guitar Hero
Scrapbooking with my DMIL
Cruise planning time with all including watching Extreme Engineering "Widing the Canal" because they will never watch it, but I can make them on mothers day.
Take a long bath.

That is it, not too bad! That is an ideal day for me.

3) Chat last night, I have been nervous to chat because I wasn't really sure how it worked and well, I am not sure why. So, I got brave, logged in and typed one sentence. Then DD3 needed something quick, so I logged off. Then, I couldn't get in (I didn't try very hard as I started falling asleep). And, well, never made it. Ugh, I will try again. The funny thing is that I am more shy online, in person I am very outgoing and enjoy chatting with anyone, anywhere!

4) Weather today looks great, high in the mid 60s and sunny. We get to mow for the first time today!

5) I am excited for the West Bounders...The journey begins. I hope someone remembers to post the webcams as the ship moves along. I only know the Port Canaveral ones.

Nicole.....I am right behind you on the chore list. Almost done....and then NO MORE CLEANING ALL WEEKEND!

My kids always bring me breakfast in bed on Mother's Day, too. It is usually the most random collection of food, and I can never finish everything they bring me. But I always act so surprised.

Sunny day here, too! Although we have mowed about 4 or 5 times already.

Will be driving out to the port to see the Magic off.I am bringing DS so hopefully he will do the video for me. Last time I tried to do both as DH had his Mickey glove on and there was no way he was able toeven hold the camera.

For my 2009 7 day cruise the Cat 4 was $8k and I paid $10k for a Cat 3.

I really didn't need to hear that!!!

I just decided that this trip we will cut down on our room charges --- last cruise, 10nt -- it was very close to 5 figures!!! We did have 2 more people with us (our oldest 2 children)..........

Just an FYI.... If you try to go to a Cat 2 or 1 the difference is very minimal! DH doesn't like the bigger statrooms -- he is a very light sleeper and he swears they creak..... i didn't hear anything but, it drove him crazy.
