Has the drinking committee um I mean the fish extender committee :rotfl2: decided yet on starting a list?:confused3 I know I signed up for this.

Hey Paula: Saw your post.:) you never know where I might end up reading.......:lmao: I like looking here and there.

WE are talking CRUISE this weekend!!! I keep changing my mind on what to do in Cabo. Since he can fish here.........I am thinking I really want us to visit lover's beach. I will give you an answer of 100 % next week. Is that o.k?

Chuck trying to get home early today so I probaly won't make chat tonight.

Thinking forward to the 19th and of course Andrew's observation that the Wonder is also open for an August 17 cruise that night....

I tried seeing what the availability was on the Wonder cruise. If I try with 2A and 2K, its not available (even changing ages around). 2A alone or 2A and 1K show availability.....

So they aren't fully booked, but I'm imagining they are getting fairly close as the 4 passengers is throwing their system for a loop :confused3

Hopefully they are all first time cruisers and none will be on-line on the 19th

Happy Birthday SopAndBass

That will be fine! Have fun talking CRUISE this weekend and enjoy your time with Chuck. So does he come home on the weekends?

Hi Tina -- the fish extender/drinking committee was going to wait until after final payment to begin the list . . . and of course we will need to wait until after cabin assignment (probably mid-July, if it is like the WB repo, or maybe in June, if a CM was correct) to get a good list going. After the final payment date we will begin the list, however. . .

Drive by posting...

I started a thread on the planning board called "Ships Library" in the Shipwreck Cove part of the board. I love to read and plow through a lot of books, so I figured we could share recommendations of books related to TOAL.

Not just planning books - books about or set in the places we are going, fiction, non-fiction, literature, history, romance, mystery, kids, etc.

Here's the link:

That is hysterical! He can outrun me so I guess Bill is safe.

;)

"Keri & Susan" are still waitin' fer your "story"..... Your BILL may be able to out sprint ya... but he can't run for ever.... :lmao: <wiink> For a good "yarn" there might be some token compensation in the winds... a mickey bar perhaps supposedly!

< chuckles >

OK, I'm just kidding.... I would NEVER encourage any serious conduct like this... except to JOKE about it.

Wouldn't it be funny if they ended up with a severely underbooked ship in August due to errors like that?

Brendan keeps hoping for this..thinks we will get an upgrade since we were paid in full sooo long ago...I say don't hold your breath!:lmao:

Really! I hope the one on Centre Street is open, it's the only one I know how to get too.:lmao:

Too funny! I am right off Centre st! And sorry to break the news but that Brighams has been gone for a while...replaced by another store..then another and last summer that block was involved in a VERY bad fire! the closest Brighams now (I believe) is in the Natick Collection!

Can you imagine my 8 year old giving me choices - the nerve! I won't even go into the issues with DS12 - its SPT stuff that most of you are dealing with too.

They like to test how close to that line they can get..my niece (8yo) does the same thing!

Chrissie ...
.... Oh, I KNOW you smart girls know how to have fun. I married a genuine Miss Smarty pants as Alicia almost always got better grades then I in college. And back in High School she was a "math-a-lete" on the academic squad for her school. Me... I'm just a another token sacrificial leader with a big mouth. I was varsity Debate team Captain.

Did I ever share the story of how Alicia met me at school? ....
I was NOT a pimp.

And Alicia more or less qualifies in my eyes as another one of those "smarty pants types. So you've got a little "good company" of sorts with her on the ship.

Pimp! :lmao: lol...kidding! I am looking forward to meeting both of you...I am glad I will be in good company and by chatting with so many on this site..I can tell my company will be wonderful!

Our (Brendan and I) "meeting" was per Match.com....wanted to meet new people...(just out of a 9 year relationship!) a coworker told me to try...since I was shy I did! Brendan was the first person I spoke to..last person I went on a date with and after that one date (10 hrs long!) Istopped going on Match and we have been together ever since! That was over 4 years ago! (and will now be a lifetime!)

The little one (9) is going to Seaworld today with his school and announced he wants to go on Kracken :scared1: We were amazed as he is so timid. Problem is he probably won't be big enough to fit in the harness. DD told him it goes upside down and he stated he is fine with that!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

I want to go to Sea World for a field trip! (ok I would leave the students at school!:rotfl2: )
I give him credit if he does Kracken! No way would I get on that!:scared1:

TO ALL THE MOMS
and dads too...
I am not a mom..but I feel as if I am a surraget (sp) mom for some kids...I give you all so much credit..it is the toughest job in the world that often gets over looked as a job! The hours are long and never ending...even though I am an "adult" :lmao: I know my mom is still "momming me"! I know it will never end! You are all doing the best you can and are wonderful..your kids will realize it one day!

Chrissie...

... I don't mind sharing how I really feel about Alicia and I - in part because I won't have to deal IN PERSON with so many knowing I'm an "in the closet" romantic for ever... just during cruises and the occassional Disney meet most likely. And I don't mind because I think it's healthy to sort of SEE some of my thoughts in writing sometimes...

As such... for US the defining moment of our relationship feeling like it had existed "forever" was when we reached the point where we had spent more than half our lives together - and we're in our 40s ... so that came about when we were above the 20s in our "deal". And really... the sensation of feeling like we've been togetehr forever has existed from the beginning. That first date and dinner when we felt we had each found our respective soul mates. No one else has made me feel the way Alicia has on that first date. Nothing else has felt like that ever... and to think I waited about 6 weeks for a first kiss - but took her 8 hours away to ski Mammoth for the weekend on our 2nd date. AND my Mom gave Alicia a spare, nearly new vacant house we had to live in when she mentioned the folks she was renting from were creepy. Plus - since we were in the furniture business we almost fully furnished the house for her use. Officially she was house sitting in perpetuity... but officially my Mom really liked her... but I'm pretty sure I liked Alicia MORE than my Mom did.

When I met Alicia I had a long time good friend who was a girl ... NOT quite a bona fide girl friend. Although - once Alicia showed up it seems my friend who was a girl felt she was sort of a girlfriend. You see - I too had just come out of a relationship of sorts when I settled on hanging out with my friend who was a girl - and that was also when I refused to have any interest in the girls at MY school - hence the officers and staff felt perfectly safe hanging around at my conference table. AND... of course.... Alicia was the girl who broke all my rules about NOT dating (or having/showing) interest in any of the girls at my University.

So... when you talk about being freshly out of a relationship - being on the rebound and how you choose to conduct matters - well... I had my story as well to share.

At any rate... sometimes I think folks who have followed some of the things I've posted this past year will know as much about us as "family" sometimes... almost.... < wink > Well... some folks may end up knowing MORE about us in some ways then real family!

OK ... time to run the little one to her Ballet/Tap dance class now! I got 15 minutes to get there now!

TTFN!

It looks as if Frontier airlines just declared Bankruptcy.

They announced it on the news just now = however the web news and the Frontier web site shows nothing to this effect?

OK... I've found several web pages on this - it seems to have just been announced about 20 minutes ago!

Oh no, I was considering flying them home after TOAL. Hadn't booked anything yet.

Seems as if they may continue operations....for now...ugh...could you imagine being on TOAL...only to arrive at MCO on the 1st and find out they went belly up? I guess I'm going to have to examine the financial situation of an airline AND their baggage restrictiosns before booking.

I think I've come in part way through on this... we booked a "dummy" ressie on our Sept 06 cruise and then transfered to a TA. When the repo cruise opened, she moved our ressie over to it. Can you not do this now?

That can be done. And might be the easiest way to do it.

The discussion was talking about the hastle of calling DCL on booking day trying to get your ressie switched.

I remember when my kids were going thru their "evil twin" period. Not fun. :scared1: You never knew from day to day what would set them off. When DD was skating competitively, she never had any meltdowns, just attitude issues. !

It must have been ST day yesterday. After driving Lisa to Gymnastic Practice yesterday afternoon, she decides to have "meltdown" right before I drop her off. She starts crying and saying things like "You are never happy with what I do. Etc," I re-assured her that I was very proud of her and she went off to class. Four hours later we are getting ready to go home and she says cheerily "I had a great practice. We should fight more often" (I didn't know we had had a fight :rotfl: ). What can I say, 13 is so fun!

You are very lucky to have Alicia...and SHE is very lucky to have YOU!

I know Brendan IS a hopeless romantic..it is funny you look at him and he is this BIG guy..tall and muscless and all plus a smart ***! But he is alway saying and doing things that always surprise me! Maybe you two can trade hints and stories!:lmao:

You are a good guy Tom!(yes I used your name!) Though maybe not always innocent!:lmao:

Have fun dancing with the little one!

Chrissie

For anyone who is waiting for SW to open up their booking window for return flights, SW changed the date to April 18 from April 17.

Awwww, cute story Chrissie.

Crash the hopeless romantic. How cute!

DH & I have been together half my life as of sometime earlier this year...even if you count the 6-8 months of "breaks" we had in college. I was 14 when we met & 17 when we started dating.

Doesn't Brigham's have the worlds' BEST hot fudge!
:cloud9:

Cleveland-area Malley's has the best hot fudge. So good, we named our dog after it.

Yeah, I was about that age when I got off the ice in the middle of a private lesson, in the middle of the season, 2 days before a freestyle test & told my Mom "I quit."

...lasted about 6 weeks....

Remember . . .tomorrow is another day . . . thank you for reminding us with older children what we're missing :) Yours will grow, too, and you'll remember . . .

Keep venting . . . you deserve a break!!! (and LONG 15 day cruise in August)
LOL! my daycare inspector came this morning, and heard the one baby screaming at the top of his lungs. he couldn't get him to stop either. i really am ready for this trip! the daycare inspector was even speechless about this kid...something seems to be really wrong...of course the parents give in to his every single whim...and he expects me to also. but i can't! i have 4 others here today to care for, and when dh is here, we have 7-8 more. you can't drop everything to get this one baby every time he hollars. the mom told me this am that he prob just needs to have a bottle....i asked her if they give him a bottle at home? and she said whenever he even starts to fuss a little, they'll give him a drink. he is almost 18 months old, and i've had him drinking from a cup at the table for the last 4-5 months. noone...even my own kids and dh....are allowed to walk around our home with food/drink. the mom thinks i should make an exception for her kid....not happening! my oldest is 10...and he's always had to eat/drink at the table/kitchen. there is no way i'm letting one kid walk around my house with food. and i don't know why she thinks i would? i have 4-8 other kids i take care of! if i let one do it, i'd have to let them all do it! GRRR!!!
anyways, my point to that rant was that i'm soooooo ready for our trip! it is exactly 4 months from today that we leave! and i can't wait!

wow!! i should get myself one of those!! wonder what my daycare inspector would say about that??!!!

I thought today was Thursday, but just realized it's Friday !!
TGIF!!!! :cool1:
 Shannon. We all have those "bad mommy" days!

Lauryn looks so cute in her costume! Hope she has fun this weekend. DH is taking Nicholas camping this weekend, which means it'll be me and the other 3 kids all weekend! :scared1: Not sure how much fun I'll be having!

Kim
thanks kim! my boys are staying with mil this weekend, so i don't have to worry about them...thank goodness! i'm not cut out to be the competitive dance mom....i freak out at these things! this is dd's 2nd comp, and i got so scattered at the last one, that the teacher had to help me out! LOL! i kept misplacing things, and i was just a nervous wreck. and my dd was sooo calm! that is why it threw me for a loop yesterday that she acted that way. she really does a great job dancing, and it just comes so naturally for her. i'm glad it's gonna just be her, dh and i this weekend. we need the extra time together! hope your dh and nicholas have a great time camping. i can't even imagine camping right now...it's soooo cold here still....cold and rainy...yuck! try to enjoy your weekend too! sounds like you'll be busy!

Terri, I don't think it ever does go away. Wish your DD could get into the neurologist earlier--hopefully something will come open sooner.:)

How cute! Shannon, don't think of yourself as a bad mommy! They know how to push our buttons (amazing how they learn it so early too:rolleyes1 ). :flower3:
thanks! my dd really is my good kid! she normally doesn't have meltdowns/temper tantrums or anything of the sort. yesterday was NOT a good day to pick for her to have one though! i notice though that she is starting to try to push buttons once in a while, and it scares me for the future! i want her to stay a good girl! LOL!

Doesn't Brigham's have the worlds' BEST hot fudge!
:cloud9:
mmm!!! mmmm!! hot fudge sounds really yummy right now!

TGIF!!

I finally got my schedule for my clinical rotations that start next month. It all looks pretty good, and the most important thing is that I got off for the block I needed for the TOAL!!!

I also got the block before that off, so I have most of the summer off with the kids, and we don't have to worry too much about childcare. My farthest rotation is about 40 minutes away, but it's only for 5 weeks, so it's doable.

And I only have 16 more days of classes left. Ever. (Well OK, not really for ever, but you get the idea)

If you go to the DL website and scroll to the bottom, select the "contact us" form, you can have them mail you the maps.

Need to give them mailing address and probably language and they will mail them.
