Happy birthday to your DS!!!!

I know what you mean though - I was at the OB-Gyn on Valentine's Day and of course they hooked up me up to one of those machines and sure enough I was having contractions. I went home and cried - told my DH that I didn't want DS born on Valentine's Day and that I refused to do it...he held off until 8:08 pm on the 15th (I think that may have been the last time he really listened to me too;) )

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: well behaved in utero

We were sent a bumper sticker with the first edition that says "I have access to the Disney Files" & DD's friends keep asking her what the heck it means. One of them asked me the other day, but I said "If I tell you...I'll have to kill you". I did mean to eventually tell her, but we got involved in another conversation & I forgot. Oh well they all think I'm a lunatic anyway.

OMG, that is so funny

happy bday to your ds!! i was in the same situation...twice!!! my doc was gonna take me a few days early with my dd cuz i had a blood clot in my leg, and april first was the doc's day oncall. thank goodness he decided to push it off for a bit, and then i ended up going on my own. when i found out 3 yrs later, that i was again due in april, the only days i did not want to deliver on were april fool's day and dd's bday. we missed april fools thank goodness! and ds ended up getting his own bday on april 9th. he missed his sister's bday by a little more than an hour!! her bday is april 10th...ds was born a little before 11pm!

Wow, my kids have birthday's 10 days apart. My Dad, my nephew & I also have April birthday's. Makes for a hectic Spring every year.

Ok so after a few shots of tequila and a check of the email, my spirits are lifted. Still dealing with the medical bills, but because my birthday is next week (subtle hint) it seems as if I have some good meals in my future. Just for being on their mailing lists I have received the following birthday offers:
  • A free burger of choice at Red Robin
  • 10 free hotwings at Wing Stop
  • Buy 1 meal get 1 free at Sweet Tomatoes
  • Free dessert at Bucca di Beppo (sp?)
  • Free appetizer at Joe's Crab Shack
  • 25% off the total bill at Fresh Choice
  • Free Chocolate Fondue for Two at Melting Pot
Oh, and got a $50 off offer for Movado watches, good even on sale prices and at the outlet.

YUMMY - The Melting Pot - so expensive but what GREAT food and a great experience!! Went there for my birthday last year.

Oh, me too.

Andrew....my dh is Hang on Sloopy, btw. He says thanks for the info.

I was going to be shocked if HoS wasn't your DH.

That is all I wore through college

I have a BFA, and art students back in the late 80's/early 90's wouldn't be caught dead wearing color! Our nickname for the "people in black" was "pib". I drew the line at wearing petruli oil, though.

Same era. I was the only person in the photo darkroom not wearing Birkenstocks or combat boots and all black.

Thanks all for your congrats! :flower3:

I realize your quote got dropped earlier. CONGRATS DIANE!! Oh, and you really don't want to run up and hug me first thing in the morning. :headache: Then again 'first thing in the morning for me is much earlier than for most people.

Monica....

... you're doing pretty well with ALL THOSE BIRTHDAY "OFFERS". I too have a birthday this weekend (hint) and I've had NO OFFERS of any kind! I'm beginning to feel as if I don't even EXIST as my spouse bought me a nice down parka from REI (it's spring and they're going for clearance prices - duh!)... which I returned today. As I liked my old one more... so I technically have NO birthday offers or "thoughts" in developement... as far as I can tell....

Snif - snif - snif

Actually a little chilly here..........all we are getting is what they call liquid sunshine. Funny how 1 day can be 80 and the very next day is 60. Someone mention in earlier posts about blood getting thin? Yup that would be me just about now.

Thanks, good pranks are all about the details.
April 2nd I'll be celebrating DS's Birthday.

11 years ago yesterday, I was sitting in the Ob-Gyn's office saying OK God, I really can't do an April Fools's baby. So, how about we wait till tomorrow? Funny thing was my water had broke but the Ph test came back negative, so they didn't think it really happened (can you say head like a cork ?) If the test had come back positive, I would have been admitted on the 1st.

Lisa....Happy Belated Birthday to your ds!
My neice's birthday was yesterday as well! She was born at 5:30am, but I can remember all of us at the hospital all night just praying my sister would make it past midnight!

Just on the off-chance someone did not know this, you cannot renew a childs passport. You have to start from scratch and get the birth certificates, go to post office, apply, etc. The good news is I get to keep their 1st passports (their pictures were adorable). The bad news is we cannot find their birth certificates.:sad2:
I got on line as the girls were both born in Texas but separate counties.
Both counties had completely different criteria (of course Dallas was the worst) and I was geting frustrated. One would accept checks the other one would not (cash or money order required, but cannot send cash through the mail :confused3 )
Anyway I kept digging and there was a Texas Office of Vital Records site where I could order the birth certificates online and pay with a credit card. :thumbsup2 No printing out pdf forms, completing each one separately, mailing them to 2 separate places with separate forms of payment etc. One online form and done!
Now let's see if I actually get them. :)

Brooke has a passport and we were told it was good for 5 years. I always thought you could renew after that.:confused3 Hope you get them soon.:wizard:
