Just though we could discuss and vote like everything else.

We did Vote on it a long time ago and the Majority at that time wanted "Take What You Can , Give Nothing Back" So the Artwork was done for that one ... Sorry but as it stands the back will be as it has been ..

Breaking News

Multiple explosions impact key transportation assets.

US raises Threat Level to RED

New York - (AP) - Simultaneous explosions in the Suez, Erie and Panama
Canals appear to be a coordinated terrorist attack. At approximately
12:22 a.m. EDT the first explosion occured on board an oil tanker in the
Erie Canal. Click here for live video. The tanker has broken in half,
leaking over 300 million gallons of oil into the canal which is now
burning and has the canal closed to all traffic. Shortly after 12:30
a.m. EDT a second explosion occured in the Suez Canal. It is not clear
at this time how the explosion occurred, but several ships, including a
Cunard Cruise ship are on fire. Amazingly, no injuries or deaths are
reported. At 12:48 a.m. EDT a container ship in the Gatun Locks of
Panama Canal exploded multiple times, causing severe damage to the locks
and is slowly causing the water upstream to drain to the ocean.
Preliminary damage reports indicate that the Panama Canal will be closed
indefinately crippling commerce. A terrorist fringe organization calling
themselves the All Powerful Reigning Infidel Liberation Fellows Over Odd
Liberating Someday has claimed responsibility.

With this and the newsletter....me thinks ye've got way too much time on yer hands

I was a piece about Pink's on the Travel Channel yesterday. The place was packed and the food looked so good.

Of course I added to my must hit list.:sad2:

I can't believe how much of the DL/DC part of our trip I’ve planned around food.:lmao:

As a major contributor to the DL food porn thread.....yeah....I can believe it

Not sure how you'll manage Pink's though. Are you doing a bus tour of Hollywood? I don't know if they stop. And if I remember correctly, you don't drive. It's a good hour at least from DL so not a simple cab ride.

My daughters are going to flip to see Miley Cyrus, I will die to see Julie Andrews, and my sons would love to see Anakin Skywalker in the flesh! Who knew DCL could pull that off?? :lmao: :lmao:
Had me going there for a second. I about had a heart attack!

My son would flip to see Miley.

The rest of the list didn't impress me. Now you add Johnny Depp and I'll perk up a bit. Oh, can you imagine Johnny on our cruise and our Captain on pirate night??

Wow, I skip a weekend of posts and have nearly 50 pages of ketchup between the old and new threads. Loved the April fool's posts in particular as the humor is needed after driving back and forth across Kansas this past weekend.

I think it was heading South -- my area was hit, also. I wouldn't mind if the old house got some hail....... A new roof will look good when it goes up for sale (after we get our *gas* money! LOL!)

Yeah,we're praying for the same thing this year! ;)

We got hit with a huge bill when getting a new roof after our insurance claim last year. We put our house up for sale about two months after a hail storm last year and didn't know it was damaged. When the buyer did their inspection, they said we hail damage. We had our agent find someone independent and they agreed that their was hail damage. After deducting the "depreciation" on the existing roof, we were stuck paying nearly $5,000 for a new roof for the buyers. You think you have coverage and the insurance company pulls something like this. They claimed that it was standard to do that in our area as we were hail prone. This after the insurance company kept warning me that if we submit a claim, we'll have higher insurance premiums in the future.

We also jumped ship and will taking the Grandour of the Seas for 10 nights during Thanksgiving. Only Alan and I  --we are looking forward to that. Adam didn't want to go. It will be some different ports for us.

And by the way anyone have any free time? I have a nice guest room;) Have a great day and I will check in when I can with you all:flower3:

:scared1: :scared1: This almost gave me a heart attack. I couldn't stand anyone else jumping ship on us.

Still not sure what ship your jumping from....but you're still on TOAL...so that's really all that I care about.

If he was dressed as Cap'n Jack Sparrow no one would probably notice. We would all think it was someone that had great makeup and looked a little like him :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well, I did prank my dd. Found a fake candy wrapper on FamilyFun.com and printed it up and put it around a small bag of Teddy Grahams. The wrapper is for Reeses Sneezers, made from boogers and other things you don't want to know about! Hope I get her good. Hey a parent has to have some fun! :woohoo:

My DS would LOVE that. A wrapper like that would make him want it even more. Crazy kid. He loves the Harry Potter Jelly Beans.....I can't get myself to try them....although Todd's wife tried the dirt one and declared that it does taste like dirt.

True. Sounds like we both an intersting afternoon. :thumbsup2
I told my boss the hail sounded like someone had a golf club and was banging it on our roof. No damage though. Bill had just last weekend taken all the plants out of the greenhouse. He was so upset about his "babies". Turns out they were shielded by the house and did not lose a leaf.

That's good to hear! I haven't been by the other house yet -- I'll go in a little bit to get the mail and check on things!

OK, totally gullible checking in here :rolleyes1 . My jaw dropped to the floor as I was reading the newsletter *as she believes every word as written*. Thanks for the laugh, Tom.

Sorry been MIA. I know it's been too long when I have to look up my password  . Happy Birthday/Anniversary to all that I have missed. Hope all is going well with everyone. I am doing great, plugging along with treatments and will be done with everything May 1st

I finally booked my car rental for the trip. Boy, I am so used to getting great deals on rental cars in FL. No such thing for this trip. Unfortunately, Enterprise is the only rental that has offices in both Long Beach and San Pedro so I am kind of stuck. They are charging me a $40 drop off fee for San Perdo - YUK! I am there for the week before the cruise but have to pick up DH at the airport on the 16th so I priced it out to return the car to the airport then take the shuttle to San Perdo, and with tip, it only works out to about $20 savings. Not worth the hassle to me. Just an FYI - the 6th Street Enterprise office is open from 9-Noon on Sunday. I had heard that they were closed, but it is not the case, and they offer free shuttle to the terminal.

CA question - does anybody know where the closest Trader Joe's is to Long Beach Airport & do all the TJ's sell wine in CA? In Mass only a few do.

Your closest TJ's should be
Long Beach (Bellflower Blvd.)
2222 Bellflower Blvd.
Long Beach, CA 90815
Trading Hours: 8:30 am - 9 pm
Phone: 562-596-2514

And all the ones I have gone into here sell wine so you should be okay. I have not been to that location but we have them everywhere here.

Hope that helps!

Desiree

You're probably right, especially since I've seen so many people at the parks and on the cruise claim that the Disney Jack looks just like the real thing.

But I know better. Those counterfiet Jacks can't fool me.

Please can we slow down I just cannot keep up and the dust and washing are mounting up.

Anyone got a room assignment yet?

Also not happy with having to surrender our passports yet again on this trip it would appear
Brenda
