Just a drive by posting from work. In looking at the Sunday ads I was wondering. Has anyone done the Brita or Pur pitchers for the water rather than the cases of bottled stuff???? And how did it work out??? Back to :surfweb:
I used to use the pitchers then the filters on the faucets.. until we got the fridge with water in the door that uses a filter. :)
(we were avoiding the water/ice in the fridge door until the kids got old enough that we wouldn't have a water/ice mess by the fridge all the times. Which means we only got it about a year ago LOL)

Todd please see Thread #4 for birthday greetings

Happy 40th Birthday

Happy Birthday Captain !!

Thanks everyone for the Birthday Wishes , we just got home from a 2 day Birthday Party Bash at the NYNY Hotel ...It was pretty wild and very little sleep has been had , so its off to the coach for the day and hopefully will be able to be back to normal by tomorrow

Stace, these are cute. I have crocs, & you're right they're fugly. I would never wear them with shorts.

Perhaps for formal night ??

I saw those yesterday! With my foot the way it is, that might actually be worth consideration.

I found them at my local The Walking Company store. I truly was surprised how comfortable they were. I think it was the combination of the wedge heel and the padding. They also had rubber soles which I require in a cruise ship shoe. ;) My Brightons almost had me overboard once.
I have also seen a very selection at shoes.com. Price was about the same.
Also, they seem to reun pretty true to size too.

I did end up checking my closet. I have a pair of Sofft shoes, but they aren't the ones I'm wearing for the wedding. The ones I'm wearing are called BeautiFeel. Like walking on air. Checked their website for a picture, but my pair isn't on there.

I have a Brita pitcher that I use occasionally at home.

M...those pictures are gorgeous!! I've never really wanted to travel the east coast, except to see the Cherry Blossoms. They are so pretty. Thanks for posting those.

I hope you meant couch!!!

I was referring to using the brita/pur on the ship instead of slepping all that water and wondered if anyone had done it that way?

I knew what you meant. Wouldn't you still want to put it into water bottles or some such? You could easily fill a mug or water bottle at the drink station for free. That's what we do. We each take a bottle and keep refilling it. And a couple of extras to keep cool in the mini fridge.

Best Buy has the two new Olympus cameras the 850 and 1030 featured.
The 850 is $299 and the 1030 is $399.
Interestingly, the 790 is $269 at Best Buy. Not much of a clearance.....For $30 you get choice of colors and 8 megapixel instead of 7.1

DH doesn't care what he drinks. He even like the water here in Fl. I on the other hand can't drink it if I taste it. I only drink the water from the fridge. We had numerous filtrations before we got the mega fridge. I was just thiking what a pain in the add it is to shlep so many bottles onboard and was wondering if the brita/pur would be smarter and less hassle/ Other then filing them.

I think it would be less hassle. Those water bottles are darn heavy.

Tom- I think you misunderstood my question... I was asking WHO is going on the buses. I already saw the info/ know how to contact them about the bus. That wasn't my question........

Remedial reading for Tom.....

Sorry

I'm like you, if I can taste it, I don't want it. Not that I have anything against water, but most water doesn't taste good to me.

Never thought about taking a Brita on board. Seems as if it would be pretty easy to handle. I used to have a Brita sports bottle that had a little filter in the lid. That was very convenient, it was just the right size to carry around with me. But they don't make those filters anymore. Someone said Culligan makes something similar. I haven't been able to find it though.
