Help required!!!

You guys are so good at dispensing advice, thought I'd ask....Should I go ahead with laser eye surgery? It will cost £400 ($800) per eye, hurt like hell for a couple of days, unable to drive for a week, but once fully healed should have 20/20 visioni.e. no glasses/contact lenses required:banana: . From what the consultant said, I should also wait until after TOAL as you can't be in strong sunlight for a couple of months after treatment.
a) Anyone out there been through this?
b) Is it a good price? I would consider a trip abroad for a better price (recovery in WDW sounds good !)

TIA

Celestine

I know you probably had a lot of responses about this, as I am not fully caught up yet. DH had this done a few years ago, he could not see anything without his glasses. He had it done twice in his one eye as the doctor knew she could get it better. It cost us approximately $2,000. for both eyes and that included the intense exam in the beginning, any more surgery on his eyes for the first year and a follow up exam. It's not really that bad to watch it being done either. I know I am a weird person. He does need glasses to wear for reading, but that may be just old age creeping up on him.
Good Luck to you in your decision.

1) What is your favorite flavor of ICE CREAM or substitute favorite DESSERT
Strawberry Ice Cream
2) If you could have any car as your own "FREE" to use for a year - what would it be?
A 75 Chevy Nova, that car was a tank
3) If you could visit any one place on the planet for 7 days - what destination would you choose. All expenses paid however, you cannot take any physical souveneers back with you.
A cruise anywhere
4-5-6) If you had Aladdin's lamp and 3 wishes... what would be your 3 wishes? The same limitations apply as in the Disney version - you can't raise the dead, you can't make someone love you, and you can't wish for more wishes.
1. Unlimited Funds 2.Take me away for a few days without ST 3. Take a world wide cruise
7) Tell us something about yourself that you've never posted here before.

I do not like things to crawl on me. They can be in my space just not on me.
OK... before I turn in tonite I'll try to come back and reply to these 7 questions!

Everyone - Have a great weekend. I am off to the Giants vs. A's game - hoping to stay dry.

Wow, I didn't even realize they were playing this weekend. I knew the A's played in Japan earlier this week, but didn't even pay attention to when they'd be playing local.

Have fun and get some garlic fries!

July works for me.....

I wonder why if I search for one, two or three ppl it shows it at $135 and if I look with 4 or 5 people it shows the same flight $199 pp?

I've booked cheaper seats for dd and i and then booked dh seperately before...We were fine.... and if it saves you 60 per seat x 4....

Stace, your right I think it's a dancing sausage!:rotfl2:

Awww Tina beat me to it...That was my guess too.

goofyforlife- but no one answered me how they KNOW there are enough seats? I don't want to book us seperately and then realize 1 or 2 of us can't get on the same plane! It's not just that I want us together- it's also the huge time differences of the flights which would cause issues not only when leaving MCO for DFW but also having some of us sitting around for hours waiting for the rest of our family so we can go home!

so I looked everywhere on there and I don't see (even on the airlines website) how you can tell there are enough seats left.

Scared me at first..upon closer inspection..looks like a sausage ... atleast I hope it's a sausage! :rotfl2:

When you are on AA.com. Enter the number of people and the airports. On the page where it lists all the flights there is a column that says Cabin. It will say Economy, then View Seats will be underlined. Click on View Seats and it will show you all the open seats for that flight.

Also, just by the fact that if you say you want 5 seats and it lets you select that flight even at a higher price, then there are at least that many seats available.

guess my screen shot didn't work, just came across as a bunch of html code.....i'll keep trying

All this discussion just begs the questions, at what age should boys and girls be given the facts of life?

I just answered questions as matter of factly as I could when they came up. And they came up much earlier than I thought, but I'd rather tell the truth than keep it all a mystery like parents did.

I started talking to DS at about 8 or 9, mostly because he started asking more intelligent questions. Just a little bit at a time though. Didn't want to overwhelm him.

Exactly! :thumbsup2

Yep you're right. When you click on properties is says dancing sausage! Doh!

Go to AA.com, select the flight, on one of the next screens there should be a "see seats" button.

Go to http://www.aa.com/index_us.jhtml and enter your flight details
on next page, you will see a list of flights each flight has 12 boxes, times, #s.... about box 9 or 10, there should be a link for "view seats"

The 2:30 has over 40 open

My DS was only 7 when he told me that an older kid at day care had told him what sex was. I tried to keep the horror from my face and asked him what the kid said. He said "It's kissing with your clothes off". I was so relieved I said "Sure that's it, mostly". He goes "Mostly:confused: " I insisted that was all he needed to know. Apparently, that wasn't enough. He asks me a few days later "Mom, I still don't get it, the dictionary says sex is 'male or female' ":scared1: I'm like when and where did you look it up ? He says "At school":scared1:
Finally decided if he was so curious that he was looking it up at school, that I better give him more of an answer. There's a kids book called "what's the big secret" that I had bought intending to have it on hand when needed. Well I wound up reading it to him sooner than expected:rolleyes:

Darren's parents never gave him the facts of life speech:sad2:
I guess they felt that health class at school was enough:rolleyes1
