I always used different paper for the Santa gifts. Then a few years ago, I found some Star Wars Christmas paper. DS saw it a few weeks before Christmas. I had been hiding it to wrap the Santa gifts. So Santa left a thank you note telling DS that mom let him borrow some paper because we both knew that he loved Star Wars so much. Crisis averted.

Santa never wrapped one of Adam's gifts they were always just around the tree.

Ok pirates. I need some vacation ideas. I've got a timeshare week that expires soon and I'm trying to figure out where to use it. My 'home' resort is in Texas but I've never seen it. I bought the ownership off ebay and have banked and traded my weeks ever since.

I'm looking at the middle of June. DS has 1 week in between regular school and summer school. I haven't been succesful finding anything in CA or Hawaii. So I'm trying to figure out somewhere else to go to spend a week. Don't want to go to FL because going to WDW would be too expensive. Besides airfare to FL has been outrageous lately.

So where would you enjoy a relaxing week at?

Monica, we are going to Hilton Head in June. What about a week in San Diego and just relaxing ?

Tom I did and I still do intend on making tags for anyone who would like one!

Sorry I missed chat, socializing with the visiting fam and all. DS9 is at a "Read Over" at school. Slumber-party in the library sort of thing. I have to go get him soon.

I didn't stay long. I couldn't type for beans & I even had my name as Disne instead of Diane. Might've been the few I had at dinner at the 99s.

So my first comment was 'cigar' but Diane already said it.

DS9 is starting to ask questions about "s-e-x" (he spells it out, I have no idea why). We're still on the "your body is yours and no one is allowed to touch your private parts..."

My parents went the mystery route. Keep in mind they had a baby when I was in 5th grade!!! Our sex ed was in 5th grade...everyone else was like "oh, my parents wouldn't do that / only did it a long time ago" Yeah, we had an infant at home.

"The Talk" with my mom consisted of "How was health class? Do you have any questions?" and later on in HS "Don't do anything stupid."

Funny story - when the kids were toddlers, I tried to teach them the anatomically correct names. DH ended all that when DS2-ish kept referring to his "peanut".

Hmmm, not sure if I want to meet someone for the first time after running a triathlon.

Which leads me too...I am the worst Mom ever. You know how I mentioned that I was going out mapping trails for work? Well, I'll be gone for DS7's birthday! And I didn't realize it until yesterday! Ugh! So not only are we going to be on TOAL for DS9's next b-day, I won't even be home for DS7's. Nice Mom, huh?

So here is our new plan. Since we are going to W'burg-Y'town 2 weeks after his b-day, we are going to spring for the Great Wolf Lodge and call it "DS7's Birthday Trip" which just happens to end with my triathlon. Off to the budget board to look for a code...

I'm sure that will make DS very happy! We rarely celebrate on the actual birthday. DS has asked that his be during April vacation so a friend of his could go so that's the plan. Just him & a few friends to RFC.

Oops. Of course, they only carry 250-400 passengers.

Hey, forgot to tell everyone. DS had his final check up with the neurosurgeon this week. He is all healed. No more fracture, no more air on the brain (....that's debatable ) and he's cleared for sports. No football until the summer, but he can play baseball now.

They showed us the CT scans from 4 days after the accident, 1 month after and then 3 months after. No sign of any more trauma in the area.

That is great news!!

Yep, you could say that, not a great advert for BA, I am travelling out from T5, so slightly worried, but hopfully all sorted out by then.

Lots of people flying out without their luggage today.
