How'd he expalin that one?

Growing up in a Jewish household, he was woefully unprepared:sad2:
I would have said the Easter Bunny left them downstairs because someone was still awake, but he just got a bit flustered:lmao: She's fine with it. I suspect she just wanted confirmation because she hadn't caught us before:confused3

We are her only family here and her only grandchildren.

Yeah, i am pretty much an orphan too as no family lives here and they pretty much ignore us.

I told my Mom I would have replaced the Mercedes w/ a total, well running, piece of crap car until she earned the right but no! She gets a practically brand new car. Riduclous.

Must be nice..... I can't even imagine what her car insurance bill must be with a teen and three accidents.... I saw an old beater Ford LTD the other days and told my dd that's what were getting her for her first car.... (a tank)

Got an email today that the Olympus has been shipped. I guess we'll test it in the tub until our community pool opens;)

I really liked the blue Olympus, but with all the local stores totally out of the old waterproof ones, I figured I should just go ahead and buy the silver 770online:confused3
Now I have to make sure I label it so we can tell it apart from everyone else's:lmao:

I have to practice a whole lot more!

My DD says last night she was going to stay up to catch the Easter Bunny:rolleyes1
Well, I was tired so I left the baskets with Darren to leave for the kids since he likes to stay up later. I forgot to warn him:rolleyes1
He was caught:scared1: She yelled out "Dad!!!" and of course he jumps because he was sure she was asleep:lmao:
She's having fun today:lmao:

Oh my! That is like my biggest fear. I could not sleep at all last night since I was so convinced I would forget to hide the eggs. I finally got up at 5:00 and did my thing.
When Megan (11) was looking over her basket she said "You know I don't like Twizzlers". I said "Oh the bunny must have forgotten". She said "Was it you or Dad who forgot?". That was the very first time she has hinted she knew anything. I said "The bunny of course" She said "right....". At least it was not a big traumatic "You lied to me all my life", boo hoo kind of thing.

My MiL has 4 very close friends and chooses to spend more time w/ them than us. :sad2:

That is what my dad said. A teenager that has wrecked a $40,000+ car 3 times :scared1:
I know we grew up w/out a lot of fancy things but this indulgence is not helping my nieces.
My 1st car was a Volkswagon beetle that was older than I was and that was not until my 2nd year of college. I had to take the bus to my part-time job in college for the 1st year and a half.
My Sis and her ex H are both very specialized Dr's and the kids were pretty level headed until the last couple of years. After our Sept "qualifying cruise" my Sis came back and asked her creep of a H for a divorce. He blames my Mom and I for my sister finally kicking him out. Hey, if we spent the week giving her a little encouragement :rolleyes1 - so be it!

Must be a MIL thing. My MIL would rather do just about anything but spend time with us. She tries to guilt us into visiting her, but then when we get there, she has a list of cleaning and fixing for us to do and she goes to sleep. But she goes to dinner and movies with her girlfriends all the time. Just not us.

Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome! I'm excited to be here.

Welcome Aboard Kim!

We have oodles of terrorists (um, er children!) in the 7-11 range.

That's good (I think!). At least the kids won't be bored!

Are any of the other kids going to miss school for this cruise? School here starts on Monday, August 25, so my kids will miss the first week. I was dreading having to tell the principal, but she was great about it and said that they won't miss much that first week (which I already knew). Of course, now I'm thinking about spending the day at WDW when we get back to FL and flying home on 9/2. DD turns 4 on 9/1, and I don't know that she'll ever have the opportunity to spend her birthday at the Magic Kingdom again. What's one more day of missed school? :confused3

My kids will be 12 and 9 (10 at the end of the cruise) Our schools go back later than the USA, We have an overnight flight back to the UK, leave 1st back 2nd, and their at school on the 3rd.

Welcome to this cruise.

I am going to Dinseyland Paris in a month or so, Disneyland Cali before the cruise and wanted to do MK at WDW as well, three parks in a year, but due to school have to go back same day.

I volunteer to be the bad influence! I say spend you DD bday at WDW! (I have spent a few at WDW and it is awesome!) Better than spending it on a plane! Plus, what is one more missed day of school-it is just the begining!

Go for the birthday at WDW! Make sure you get the birthday button at the parks so everyone makes a fuss over her Big Day! My DS loved the attention when we did this! Plus.... it's gonna be difficult to fly on 9/1 anyway... everyone else is trying to get home:goodvibes

Hey thanks! And true to my word, I did finish up the main body of my thesis & sent it along to the professor. I told him I would have the conclusion to him by Monday sometime so I am under the gun. Which is a good thing!

After I worked on my paper I went to the mall with the fam, ate at the food court & bought us all Easter outfits since we will be having dinner out Sunday.

Now I am relaxing with a well deserved glass of wine if I do say so myself! :goodvibes

Congratulations, Diane!!!

That is One Well-Deserved glass o' Wine.

I was curious as to what a Majesty was - and here are a few select images I found...

That's my new baby. It'll be nice not to have to park downtown or use public transit any more. I could use the time I'll save. And the cost works out over the course of 4 years to the same as if I keep my current habits.

White white white here this Easter Sunday, kids making snowmen etc..

That is SOOOOOOO wrong. :sad2:

I hope they survive the emotional scarring.

Sounds very much like my DIL's before my MIL passed away.... We used to live 20 minutes away and yet they would never come to visit. Yet they would drive passed our house and then another 20 miles to see friends of theirs and would drive to the Sams club that was in our town.

The sad part is that the DILs never got a chance to know their Dgd. Never asked to visit with her...never babysat...not even a lunch... Which is why i'm confused as to why dd cried at DMIL's funeral.

The above is one of the reasons i finally convinced DH to move to MD. I figured why be near his family if they never visited anyway.

Just another quick fly-by.....things should be MUCH more quiet for me next week and I'll play catch up.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

I was starting my deviled eggs this morning and something odd popped up...
