Good Morning everyone! Unfortunately for us it's not so great, except for the fact that I'm not at work! DD is running a fever 102 last night and now around 100. She also is complaing of a sore throat. I'm hoping it's not streep. Finally got through to the dr and we have a 10:15 appt. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well we have yet another double digit dump coming our way tomorrow and Sat! I really need to move somewhere warm!

I am in the planning/booking stages for a 5day trip to WDW! Just my parents and I (Brendan can't go )but I think this will be nice for my parents and I..last trip just us before Brendan and I get married....Plus I didn't think I was getting to the world this year! whoo hoo!

And I am gearing up for a meeting at work tonight a co worker says I have a "tone" so she wants to meet with me to straighten it out!(Now my bosses have no problem with my work performance!)Arggh!

It can be very serious if not caught. But they caught it, so you will be fine.

Do you know what Mohs surgery entails?
It is the best way to go with this type (as I learned through my wife's and 2 of my Aunts' experiences - without trying, they all ended up with same surgeon, which made me feel great about my wife's treatment since my Uncle is a surgeon and wouldn't let his wife go to anyone but the best).

My dad had quite a bit of Mohs surgery. Basically they cut than biopsy than if necessary cut some more. He had a great dr. Not many specialize in it. This dr was 30 miles away.

I know. DD was upset with me that I won't let her go to school today. She is in a play that they were going to do yesterday, but we got snowed out. I don't think they would do it today, but either way I don't send her in if I know she is sick.

Kids get so excited for their performances! A music recital was snowed out up here a few months ago...the kids were sooo upset! (it got rescheduled) They work so hard....hopefully it will be rescheduled and it will be when she is feeling better!

The girls are so excited that we are supposed to get more of the fluffy white stuff this afternoon. Hopefully this will be when they get out of school. They really want to play in it so bad.
Once again it will be all gone by the next day.
We better enjoy this as 100 degree's are coming too.

At least with strep, the antiobiotics will wipe it out fairly quickly. Anything else and it will hang around for a while.

An unexpected trip is always good. When are you going?

It is cold rain now that will supposedly turn to snow. I was going to go in the office today to get the coat I left in my boss' car a couple of weeks ago but decided to stay home in my nice toasty house.

With the time change this weekend hopefully the longer days will help w/ the winter doldrums.

Math Alert!!!!​

Lets see ...I owe DCl about $6000.00 at 5% interest a year(mine is in a CD)that is $300 a year. The interest for a year is $300 divided by 12 equal $25 a month. I have a little over two months to pay it. I will be earning Over $50 interest for those two months. I owe DCL $5.00 a port x 3 ports = $15.00 times 2 people = $30.00. The interest of $50 minus the $30 in port taxes means I am still $20 ahead by not paying off early!!!! I will not be paying my money early.

Wow, thanks for the math alert. I am normally a math geek (my friends at work call me Nerdcole instead of Nicole because I love to do math problems) but we all have the flu and I can't think straight. My skin hurts too much!

Anyway, does that work when there are 7 of us? Obviously, we owe them quite a bit more...like about $15,000. UGH!

I'll take 0 degree snowy sunny Alaska any day over this 35 degree grey and brown winter you have in DC. Winter is way more depressing here.

I'll take 0 degree snowy sunny Alaska any day over this 35 degree grey and brown winter you have in DC. Winter is way more depressing here.

I spent one winter in Williamsburg, VA (attending William & Mary) and the weather drove me back to the midwest! I know we have lots of Chicago folks here complaining about our weather, but honestly it is much, much better than 40 degrees and drizzle for months on end I'll take the snow anyday - I thought I was going to start growing mold in Virginia. I was only there from Sept to May and the last couple weeks (while I was trapped inside taking finals!) were quite nice. Maybe for those who live there, the good months make up for the horrid winter - but I couldn't possibly live there.

I am sure I am very behind on this, but my particular spending habits will confirm this.

Here are some examples...

When I did the deposit on our DL vacation for $200, I was able to pay the bill in full every month, minus the $200 and I never rec'd interest charges.

BUT, if you use one of their special balance transfers or checks, then that amount will be paid off first. The only exception is the Disney charges.

Hope that helps. Again, I know I am too late, but that has worked for us on several different occasions.

I need confirmation from someone else................I know this to be true because I witnessed it myself. If you go to Castaway at the Adult beach has anyone ever gotten lobster tails and t-bone steaks???

If any lobster tails left over from formal night they grill them at adult beach. Right there in the open. So has anyone else eperienced this? Also do we have alot of people who like lobster? Hoping for some leftovers.

Apparently Cheryl has lobster every night, I wouldn't expect any left....

Edited to add: Well, not just Brooklyn but just about anywhere in the 5 boroughs of NY.

My best friend growing up in Brooklyn, moved to Staten Island, moved back and I noticed her accent was more pronounced. Then she lived in S.I. for 8 years and now has been in Jersey since the 80's. She has such an accent now, my kids just love to hear her speak. Yes it is a NY, NJ thing.
