I haven't heard of this magazine, Tom. Is it only for DVC Members? I really miss the Disney Magazine that they used to publish. The online Disney Insider email just doesn't work for me. I like looking at a hard copy.

I just found out today that we have $50 more in onboard credit than we thought we did!

I came across another thread where someone said that the DCL onboard booking credit for the repo cruises is $250. Probably everyone else knew this, but we thought it was only the usual $200!! When we "booked" on board the Magic last January, it was the cruise where they announced the panama cruises and when we asked at the rebooking desk they said they could take our info and we would be automagically booked on the 31st. It sounded too good to be true, but we went ahead and did it and it actually worked out (much to our surprise!). At that time, the booking agent didn't know what the credit would be but said she thought it would be the usual $200 since these cruises "are usually pretty popular" and extra incentives wouldn't be needed!!! I've just been assuming that number all along. When I read the $250 number I contacted our Dreams TA (poor lady - I bugged her yesterday also with the PIF business ) and she confirmed it and double-checked with DCL that it was on our reservation.

I'm still recovering from the stupid flu, but for some reason this just made me feel really good

Yes, this has been a particularly nasty winter. And it isn't over yet.

SWMBO and I have been talking about cruising in 2009 but that will wait until after Europe (21 days, 23 hours, 28 minutes). 2009 vacation budget might be going to finishing the basement though...

See that's the ONLY thing about a new house no repairs re-doing things for awhile. It even comes completely landscaped. Now note to self.........you don't need to buy anything for house, stop it.

Ok fess up time!

From December 31st to last week I lost 2 stone, about 4 Ilbs a week, last week I did 'extra' exercise. walked a lot more, keep my diet on and was very good, and put ON a Ilb, just the one, but put it on, when I expected it to be my best week ever and I have had to pay a fine.

Maybe John could ban me from shopping if I don't lose weight!!! NOT!!! That is a great accomplisment Andrew!!!

Well dang. My "little biopsy" turns out to be basal cell cancer. The bad thing is this on the side of my nose. At least I will be easily identifiable on the cruise cause I will have only half a nose!
Oh well! We all have something.

Although I thought everyone was contacted and even though someone had sen't me an email to cancel..........I am making it public on this board that the Dis-meet for March 30th has been cancelled. I am deeply sorry for your inconvenience. I had to move and at the time I didn't even know where I was going to be moving to.

I am still planning on giving the beautiful "things" I made as extra fish mail to those guests that are cruising. If you are no longer cruising for whatever reason then you can PM me your address and I will send it to you.

If anyone hears "talk" about the dis-meet ............please feel free on my part to explain that I had to cancel. I am VERY SORRY !!!!

Thanks, I am looking forward to my Mom coming up for a week helping me. She told me on the phone the other day she should be able to get 8 hours of work in. for the week. She plans on going to the beach.

I hope all works out well. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep up the positive attitude. As I understand it this is one of the most treatable forms with a very high success rate.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. I have a job interview next week. It is with the same firm, but a different office and position...and hopefully a raise. My current department is not big on upward mobility. I am pretty much at the top.

More ice and snow here today - yuck. So much fun slip sliding to work this morning.

I need confirmation from someone else................I know this to be true because I witnessed it myself. If you go to Castaway at the Adult beach has anyone ever gotten lobster tails and t-bone steaks???

If any lobster tails left over from formal night they grill them at adult beach. Right there in the open. So has anyone else eperienced this? Also do we have alot of people who like lobster? Hoping for some leftovers.

Well now, I didn't know that. We rebooked onboard and then transferred. I'll have to check if ours is $250 OBC too. And we have 2 rooms so (Math Alert) that would be $100!!! Thanks for the heads up!
