I know... I'm just bein' a troublemaker this mornin'....

< wink >

ps what happened? can't have long threads anymore? so do the old ones get deleted or archived or what? I mean how does having several smaller threads help the board in anyway? I don't get it. LOL

I bet you won't believe me, but we hadn't seen you in so long, I was just going to e-mail you and see if you were okay!

I really, really hope that it works out for you to come. I was looking forward to our little "meetings" on the ship. ;) I miss you!!

I'm NOT responsible for these HACKED images... As JUSTMEMEGAN influenced the creation of these pooly rendered gestures in pursuit of a
few chuckles....
< wink >

Just what I need....Crash in cahoots with my devilish daughter! :crazy2:

Actually, I look kinda hot as Xena.....hmmmm....wonder if there's a costume shop nearby........
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I love you Mommy Dearest.

And you know how much I HATE wire hangers!! :maleficen

You know, these guys are going to be so disappointed to meet me in person and find out that I am really a very shy, boring person.

Wow - everyone must be busy this week-end as ketchup seemed to be quite quick!! Any news from DCL yet on which days will be formal etc? I know they say patience is a virtue, but I just want to carry on planning & so much is outside my control as many of you beaver off to research various things, e.g. bus to port. Anyway, a fairly quiet week-end for us and I'm off tomorrow as it is a family trip to the dentist!

No word yet - hopefully soon, but I have a feeling that DCL won't announce ours until they send out the pre-planning kits, which should be going out late March/early April.

Hey Andrew.... sorry I didn't respond to this one. I was running prettytight on time and had to litteriallydrop what I wuz doin' and just scoot. Alas, I have found this and am replying now.

And, thank you - I seem to be doing OK now. I'm still faintly feeling fickle about life and otherwise... our friend has confirmed her renal cancer is kicking up again - and her hopes for 20 years more are only a faint and remote possibility. Alas, there is hope... and for that we pray and stand silently in support of her. The other evening we swung by and spent some quality time with her family.. bought her a few tasteful beanie caps and our kids ran amok for a while. Times like that seem - on the one hand oddly difficult - and on the other hand we're so glad we were there to cheer her and her family up in person.

Aside from that.... business has been good ... and I've enjoied winning a few fun things off ebay in recent days. How you doin' on your side of the Pond?

I am very sorry to read about your friend hope the doctors do the best for her, I know someones father who has just had ''it'' come back after a number of years.

Here everything is generally OK, I have now lost two stones in weight, and pulled my BP down, we have all had the flu over the past week, and the steroids caused my right eye to go bloodshot and blurred last Monday so I couldn't focus to well, ( maybe I can blame doggy posts on that) but its getting better now.

DD Alice has work on her teeth now after work on her ears last year, so its ongoing.

DS is fine however.

For our 2009 cruise I have booked a Cat 3 now, so do you want to come for drinks?

There was a smiley created just for pot-stirrers like YOU.

Here's a few links to XENA costumes - ranging from various scene/episode types - and sizes suitable for little kids through adults - spanning prices from $9.99 up through in excess of $800 or so.

The one above is fairly common and averages about sixy bucks, while the ones below are perhaps more "exotic", with this 1st one made of PVC and only $15 on Ebay (+ $12 shipping from HK) ... and many of these listings actually fall under the catagories of "intimates" and "mixed intimate items" - and I used the key words "XENA COSTUME" to get 64 hits :

And ... ooooo.... look below, here's a faux leather costume on EBAY from Australia that claims it's worth $120 but currently listed with no bids and opening bid of $12 AU + $22AU for shipping. The description says it's not PVC, but a supple faux leather with embroidered detailing - as opposed to the cheap printed designs on the PVC costumes. It comes in sized 8-12 with other fitting details for other aspects of the costume.

And... if you're turly SERIOUS about this - then how can you pass up on an ORIGINAL screen worn costume/dress of Lucy Lawless? This comes with a certificate of authenticity! It currently is listed with an opening bid of $795 (one bid already made) and closes in a day or so.

Well...

.... for what it's worth ... on our side of the Pond it's been a virtual pandemic with influenza.... and as was evident - an alarming number of DIS neighbors have been stricken by this years' "bug".

Aside from that - please don't tell Kristen yet - but we're not actually reserved for the Aug 2009 sailing yet - however, August is the month we have sailed Disney every year for 5of the past 6 years. So I look upon Tortola as a near certainty. We've been focusing our travel planning on 2008 - with litterially 7 trips in the pot cooking - spanning Hawaii to the local Big Bear Skiing thing we just did. Plus, the major event in the oven for 2009 remains Italy with family. But once again it's emerging as another complex mess to organize it. So it may ultimately collapse - as one BIL secretly is expecting another child now - and waiting to emerge from the 1st trimester to announce it - and this may actually influence if he;ll come on our TOAL.... :sad2:

So - Aug 2009 is a near certainty as it's a regular gig for us and an easy consideration. And yeah... I know the price is creeping up on us. Thanks for the reminder.

OK, I'm just waiting for the kids to burst in declaring we're going out the door in a few moments - and get moving otherwise I'll be left behind! .... maybe. :rolleyes2

OK whomever broke the DIS really tee'd me off! :furious:

I've been trying to PM Tom31 but the last 40 minutes have really made so :furious: I want to punch this screen out.

Someone please tell me its the DIS and not my computer? Been having trouble since yesterday.

Sticks and Stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me.......

maybe :furious: me but not hurt me!

:rotfl2:

In the words of my immortal man-child - I'm Over It! :snooty:

OK that just sounded so much better when it rolled off my tongue - but the DIS is not cooperating - HOWEVER, just an observation - it had no problem posting on the board but for some reason - it doesn't seem to like PM'ing Tom31b? :scratchin

Wonder if there's a reason folks? You think? :lmao:

:ssst: OK - don't talk to much - I am working on a secret mission! Be very very quiet! :ssst:

WHOOO HOOOO !!! I can come out of the closet now!!

Thanks Crash!!! The first one will be PERFECT for the rehearsal dinner and the second one will be great for the wedding!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Gee.....I hope MEGAN approves!!!

I forgot that she reads the board until I saw her look over from the laptop, and she said,"What do you mean..That's the camera I'm looking at?" She found my post about the Nikon d40. That's the first time she heard about that, even though she did say she would love a DSLR.

Busted!! :rotfl2:

I gave up trying to make my Mom behave years ago! She ever tell you guys about her Xena Warrior Princess impression?

The Xena impression requires 2 soup ladles. Just a heads up! It will probably take at least 2 margaritas, to get her to do it. She's a lightweight.

Oh Stace, you are in so much troble... :rotfl:

I'm trying to have fun planning the wedding, it's a whole lot easier, when I just think about it being a big party, instead of a wedding!

You mom will probably hate me...

Get married first and have the wedding later. We did that, did the whole "OMG I'm getting married" committment thing, very small, very private. Then later (in our case 11 months later) had the wedding. That's exactly what it for us - a party, a celebration of our marriage. And since we were through the whole committment thing - we really enjoyed ourselves. The wedding was like any other wedding - just with no paperwork at the end.

I was shopping at Victorias Secret online the other day and my boss called laughing hysterically saying the pc guys said to buy the black one.

Edited to add: I just remembered we all have to go to Sexual Harrassment training in March. I bet everyone becomes too paranoid to even kid anyone after that.

Another crewmate - BUSTED! :rotfl2:

You know it, everyone will be too parinoid to say "boo" after that. While I support it, and understand the need, it sure does take a lot of the fun out of work.

The main simialarity is these were boys. They apparantly do significantly worse than girls. The Dr's and nurses were relieved when I showed up at 20 weeks (barely even showing) in premature labor that I was having a girl. When Megan was born at 24 she did well except for a couple hiccups. The boys even born later gestationally when we were in the NICu did not fare very well. :guilty:

I remember reading someplace a theory that boy have less genertic material, and that might contribute to this.

Gee, does that make men the weaker sex? :stir:

It was a fun evening and everyone was really friendly and welcoming, but those Masons sure like to make a lot of toasts! I never sat down & stood up so much at a dinner before in my life! :confused3

Exercising off your dinner??? :goodvibes

And, please pass my congratulations on to DD.

HI Everyone...
remember me? LOL

Okay I'm kinda in panic mode here.

BIP!!! HI!!!

First, stop. B R E A T H E
OK.
Now, you havne't missed anything you can't catch up on. And all the really imporant stuff is over on the website.

Like others, I'm not one to suggest going into debt, but those Disney cards give you 6-months at 0% to pay it off - and if you know you'll have the money...

We sure want you to be on board with us.
.

Andrew,

... we are booked ... "mentally"... and it IS when we've always sailed DCL. Plus we've had so many other things to mess with that wehave not settled on Aug of 2009 planning fully yet.

... and the flu - well, so long as no one suffers any serious or chronic/permanent injury... it's the usual drill fer all, eh? Arrrgh!
