He kept the nose up well to the end.
Completely agree - a bit surreal tho' watching live what could have been an horrific accident.

Must go and make some baked ziti & meatballs now. No french toast for us!
I deleted mine a while back. Is it The Passporter's Field Guide?
Can you go back to where you downloaded it from and start over....sometimes it will pop up and tell you that you've already done it, and you can get directed to it from there.

..to m&mm's..i 'm sorry for your loss. even the best care
dosen't work all the time. my wife's sis..loss a baby...from very "low"
..high b/p....she was doing prenatal...& was monitoring her b/p..
but waited..after it jump up..becos..it was "jus a lil'. unfort, it
resulted in hemorrhaging...& she loss her baby boy.![]()
I haven't done this type of work..since the 70's. we had all our children
in the 80's & 90's. based on our experinces..i am jus disappointed...
the lack..of using knowledge learned [common sense per the trade]
for improving our standards of care. i believe...the medical field has
an ongoing obligation toward "improving", by every mean/s available.
...* our second was supposed to have been our last...it is the law,
for the attending...to be in the hospital...when his/her pt. is on
a pitocin drip..ours was not. my wife..does not remember her "scream".
good thing. but i do..& iam sure..every student..there...did. no
father..should've been in the "catcher"..position..but there was no
one else...available. * i know we 're truly..blessed..& very,very lucky.
baby's & their newborn behaviors..are so interseting. they will "move"..
forward..until something hits against heir noggin...then go to alseep.
however, what i wanted..to share......is something...we heard @
work..[ you kno..one wouldn't think..you find...post-partum
women..on an acute psych...but contary..to those lacking knowledge,
mr. cruise types...]...someone..made..a great connection,![]()
its...been known...etoh= premies, ....& now..they're giving thiamine ,
..to "prevent"...labor. that's a great..connection....with the promise
of being...effective! * ironcially, back..when i work..they gave iv
etoh...in attempt to stop..active labor. ya kno?, jus recalling how the
ladies..,["is soo revealing"..for mental health], it made them..very, very
depress...bursting into tears..like whaling..* sucides..., connected
to those under the influnce..hmmm..these common sense..connections
should be helping us to prevent.
sorry, for off the main topic..but its...""..that something so
simple...can protect our future..lil'ones!

Dh and I were just looking through the DCL excursions for Cartagena, and found this one which might be quite interesting, but not very suitable for kids.![]()
Dh thinks it is a deal for only $49!![]()

City Drive, Shopping and La Popa
Experience the magic of Cartagena during a sightseeing tour of the Convento de la Popa and the Bocagrande, and shop till you drop in Las Bovedas and the Pierino Gallo Mall.
Surrender to a spectacular backdrop of sweeping countryside as you embark on a relaxing, air-conditioned motor coach drive from the pier to the historic city center of Cartagena. During your trip, discover the fascinating history and culture of this picturesque seaport from your friendly guide and marvel at the ornate mansions at buildings of the famous "Manga" residential district. Following your 15-minute drive, arrive at the Convento de la Popa, situated high on the hillside overlooking the city and harbor, and marvel at the breathtaking views that surround you in every direction. Over 400 years old, the Convento de la Popa is a monastery that was built on the age-old grounds where local Indians and fugitive black slaves used to meet, and is arguably Cartagena's top scenic destination. Following your 20-minute visit, journey to the famous dungeons of Las Bovedas, which were originally built in the late 18th century as a means for storage despite the name, and sightsee and shop amidst the many handcraft boutiques and stores that now fill the area.
After your 20-minute shopping spree, embark on a 15-minute drive to the famed walled city and marvel at the plethora of colonial buildings and age-old fornications around every corner. Make your way to the modern residential area known as Bocagrande, home to vast array of hotels, shops, eateries, night clubs and art galleries, and snap a picture of the long stretch of sun-kissed sand and breathtaking blue water in the distance. Finally, travel to the Pierino Gallo Shopping Center, and soak up the local flavor as you indulge in a bit of shopping amidst some of the finest gold, emerald and handcraft retailers in the city. After your hour-long visit, sit back and relax as you begin your 30-minute return trip back the ship.

On a camera alert - went to two Targets - one was out of the camera and one still had the $259. price on it. I posted (I know - bad) Monica's post to another thread and someone in L.A. got one.![]()
Serves me right for trying to win the most friendliest and helpful award!![]()
My vote is for Paula! Any seconds??????
Anyway, off to the post office - I still have soldiers waiting to hear from me - I've been MIA for almost 2 months now. They are getting a care package to include: chocolates, beef jerky, chapstick, eyeglass cleaners (for their goggles, eyeglasses) a St. Patricks Day sash - for girl, beer hat for the guy, neosporin, a comedy dvd, that's about it. I wanted to include some magazines but what do you get a whole company of guys? I don't know if sending a smutty mag would constitute doing them a favor or what. Any suggestions?
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is
worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went
unnoticed last week.
Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote 'The Hokie Pokey' died peacefully at the
age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the
coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.
Shut up. You know it's funny. Now send it on to someone else and make them smile.
OK...I just got this e-mail and had to share. It's sick and twisted, so of course I laughed.
Well, it is gorgeous here -- I know there are many who don't like the snow, but it is magical out there today. Of course, I'm walking everywhere I need to go today, and I don't have to shovel snow either, so it's really no inconvenience. It's just such a beautiful day . . .
Well, Crash has been busy lately, so here's my version of 7 questions:
1. Toe cleavage, yes or no? Maybe, just between the big toe and the next toe.
2. (From last weeks chat) If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Id like to be able to teleport myself. Save on airfare!
3. What are three things we would be surprised to hear you never got around to, ever, on your Disney cruise?
-Went to Palo for a wine tasting, but havent eaten there yet.
-Didnt try the Spa
-Didnt go into the adult pool
4. (Inspired by M and her dream to be Tinkerbell) What Disney character would you want to live the life of? Not walk around the parks dressed as, live the life of. Tinkerbell. OK I know thats Ms dream, but Im 57and not petite. I would be great to be able to fly and I love Tinks feistiness! Shes my hero in my old age!
5. If all expenses were paid, which would you choose: the Grammys, the Oscars or the Nick Kids Choice Awards. Nick Kids Choice Awards, love to see a good slimming! Plus with as much Disney Channel and Nick that dd watches, I know the kid stars better than the adult ones! Yes, I know I need to get out more!
6. If you could go back in time, just once, where would you go and who would you meet up with? My maternal grandmother, besides my dd she is the most fascinating person Ive known. Great Hungarian cook!
7. When you're thinking about your disney cruise (instead of working) what is your defining vision? Remembering our first cruise, sitting on the family beach on Castaway Cay with dd in the kids club and drinking a banana daiquiri in a souvenir cup at 11:30 AM. Thinking this is the life! Hold on tight oops, thats Hannah Montana. But its true.
Here is another pic I had. There was an ice storm in the 70s. We went outside at 3am to take pics but it was a complete sheet of ice on the sidewalk. Had trouble keeping the camera still.Wanted to go back for the tripod but was afraid I'd fall. This is the best of them. Poor dogs were slipping and sliding til they dropped the salt on the street.Took forever to get into the city that day.
