What sizes do you need ....We have two tuxes that cant be used cause Destin has grown out of them ....
DS6 would probably need a 7, or even an 8 that we could alter. DS10 - FITs a 12 at this moment, so probably a 14 or 16. Interestingly, I sent DH and DS10 off to get a jacket during the show in OR. DH came back with a size 16 suit, and a sewing kit. He said the size 12 was going to be too small in about 3 days, and 14 just fit, so he got the 16 - which hangs on DS10 like crazy - but the jacket length is correct.

Go figure. I have a bean pole for a son - just shy 5' tall and 85 pounds. We never did try on the pants for that suit.
I should get one of the pictures from the show and upload it. He really does look ridiculous. But, he was the ONLY kid not in a jacket - and it was hurting him. I had three different people walk up to me and say - get him a jacket and a tie tack.
Not a tux, but I've got a pin striped suit that DS has long since grown out of. (Size 14 Reg) He wore it at my father's 80th birthday party, a Speakeasy theme since dad was born in 1924
Wonder if we should try some sort of exchange amongst the kids? This is the only thing I'd have to contribute, but maybe other folks have some items lying around?
I could use that suit. If not for the cruise, then for the dog shows. DS10 is entering a level of competition now where a jacket is mandatory.
Good idea about the clothing exchange. I've got some little boy stuff - not suits, but slacks, shirt, and tie. Size 4-5 or there abouts.
I had two suits from last year's cruise. I'll check if we have them or gave them away. Probably sizes 8 and 12 Slim . . . W
We're going to have to do some serious tailoring with DH13s. 'He's growing UP, but not OUT. I'll have to find a suit where they have a very long hem for the pants and coat, but that I can take a few inches in on the pants. The child has a 28" inseam and a 23" waist (and the doctors says I feed him . . .LOL).
I like the idea of exchanging all our barely used suits . . .
The 12 slim will be too small by the time you mail it, but I'll bet there's someone else who can use it. The 8 slim on the other hand, is a possibility. Though I'd really prefer a tux for the boys on formal night.
I completely get your problem with clothing. Finding slim isn't the easiest thing in the world. My boys are really good with belts.

<M's eye candy response>
Hey M - if we're all dolled up like princesses with tiaras and gloves, and our menfolk are in uniform - does that make them princes? Every Disney movie I've ever seen the Prince is in uniform.
Mmmmmm. Not certain he qualifies as a Prince on a regular basis.
Ask me where I am spending Wednesday afternoon....
How totally COOL!!!
Cruise Question:
Does anyone know exactly where we are pulling in to port in Cartagena?
DH is working friend-of-a-friend CG connections to get recommended tour companies etc. for Cartagena & they asked where we are pulling in.
It's good to have friends in South American embassies. I'll post any info I get here, although it is a little cloak and dagger - some of their e-mail addresses appear blank when DH forwards them to me.
Yeah, we're quizzing DH's best buddy who spends 6-months there at a time with the Army doing, uh, Army stuff. Not certain how much time he spends in civilized parts though.
Still don't understand the rules though, or even the concept of a 15 minute quarter that seems to last for ages.
When you figure the rules out can you explain it? It seems exceedingly complicated to me. (and I grew up with it!)
Oh, and the really long quarters are for TV time outs. Each team gets, uh, two? time outs, but TV gets unlimited ones. Us Americans - we've got our priorities.
Do you think you will be able to ship to the UK?
I can ship anywhere. I did look at international shippping - and it's really expensive. So for our international crewmates, I'll deliver at DL before the cruise. (Leave it at the hotel desk for pick up.) Or, you can pay for the shipping. Your choice.
Thanks Julie - that was clear and concise
Some of us in work are hoping to go and see the The New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers when they play in London in October.
I looked at it too and came away with the impression that it's a rather silly, and overly complicated game. Go figure...
Yeup - I'm gonna be walkin' the plank now for sure.
