OK, I haven't been around for a while. Why do I need a tiara?? What'd I miss?

Say... what size is that tux? I happen to be in the market for a couple of boy sized tuxes.

Not a tux, but I've got a pin striped suit that DS has long since grown out of. (Size 14 Reg) He wore it at my father's 80th birthday party, a Speakeasy theme since dad was born in 1924.

Wonder if we should try some sort of exchange amongst the kids? This is the only thing I'd have to contribute, but maybe other folks have some items lying around?

OMG . . I'm gone for ONE day and there are now like 75 more PAGES of posts to catch up on . . .and I'm not sleeping NOW!!

Okay folks . . found this posted on the DCL main set of discussions

Our wonderful webmaster says we will get the old Pirate list back (as has been discussed many posts ago). I thought the limit of 250 page maybe a problem for this crowd. We're going to end up with 250 lists come August!!!

I was reading that the Magic goes into drydock in 3 months . . .so that would be May?? They usually do drydock here in Norfolk, Virginia . . .do you think if I snuck on board during drydock that I could STAY until our cruise? I'd help get things ready for ya'll mateys!!

Off to attempt sleep . . .have a great Monday, all!

Hee Hee Hee :)

Was going through my pictures for something and came across this one!

Boys will be boys!

Many thanks for the info. Difficult one wondering whether to hire a car at the airport just for the day and visit on the way to the hotel (bit out of the way but never mind).
Would appeciate any information that is available.

We are flying into Las Vegas and just wondering what shows are available in August there - last time we did Siegfried and Roy and that was incredible.Anyone else there before the cruise?

Yeah, Todd (DisneyVegas1), but then again he lives there. :rotfl:

I usually stick to the free stuff (pirate battle at Treasure Island, Mardi Gras at the Rio, fountains at Bellagio). Here's a link to free activities http://www.vegas.com/attractions/freeattractions.html

I do like the Cirque du Soliel shows. There's about 5 of them now, and sometimes you can get same day half price tickets at Tickets2Nite next to M&M World on the strip. http://www.tickets2nite.com/

I had two suits from last year's cruise. I'll check if we have them or gave them away. Probably sizes 8 and 12 Slim . . . W

We're going to have to do some serious tailoring with DH13s. 'He's growing UP, but not OUT. I'll have to find a suit where they have a very long hem for the pants and coat, but that I can take a few inches in on the pants. The child has a 28" inseam and a 23" waist (and the doctors says I feed him . . .LOL).

I like the idea of exchanging all our barely used suits . . .

Okay, now I"m really going to sleep . .

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout;
But there is no joy in Beantown — mighty Brady has struck out.

...just to mix sports metaphore.

and poetry.

Now THAT was funnier than any of the Super Commercials!

Thanks, Mike.
I paid big bucks for an advertising degree.

Does that mean you didn't like the show? :confused3 At least it was better than seeing Janet Jackson's pastie fall off.........

Just a comment on TP not doing anything for the last 20-25 years ad showing up in the Super Bowl.

You remembered that ...LOL well I have a new rubber monkry paw now ...LOL

Your Husband's only 13? You cradle robber!!! :lmao:

Thanks to you both. As it gets close one of us will probably be here more and more. We are in the middle of hockey season (my son stepped up a level and his team is playing independent so we travel even more!!) I also took on teaching an extra course at the law school to cover for someone who is taking the semester off to finish his book. I think I was crazy to do it, but it IS extra $$$ for the TOAL!!!

Good memory--I am a lawyer. I am actually at work right now. Listening to the Super Bowl over the internet and taking a mental break on the DIS. Fortunately or unfortunately most of my clients are on a contingent fee. No more time keeping!!! (Those of you who have had to account for every 15 or 6 minutes of your day know what a relief that is!!!  )

Tuesday I am presenting my first oral argument to the Ohio Supreme Court. I have been there before as "second chair" but first time to stand up and take the heat. I will be so glad when Tuesday is over. I have two more scheduled in March but getting the first one out of the way is the big thing right now.

Best wishes to all.

Nicholas.

Nicholas....good luck to you on Tuesday!

Are you teaching at Capital or OSU? My dh taught an ROTC course at Capital for a couple of years.

Congrats to your ds on playing up the next level!

Waaaaaah!!!! :sad1:

Oh well Brady didn't play....well like Brady so I guess we deserved to lose, but I guarantee you that many of us were not too confident. In fact with all the talk about us being a "shoe in" & the mayor of Boston planning our victory parade already, there was much talk about bad omens & all that & that is certainly how I felt. It was a nail biter all the way, but it would've been nice to see us make history. Oh well all I can say is...........

Congrats Giants!!!!

Diane....I know it wasn't the outcome you were hoping for, but you have to admit, it was a very exciting game!

Congrats to the Pats on a great season, though. Don't forget that! This is coming from a Buckeye fan....you know the College team to go to the National Championship 2 years in a row (this year and last) and loose. :sad2: I try to focus on the season as a whole, and not get too depressed about the last game.

And congrats to the Giants! I do love to see the underdog win. And Plaxico made me cry (sniff, sniff) He seems like a class act guy.

If anyone else is interested in trying to get in on a group rate for Cabo, please send me a pm.

http://www.wildcanyon.com.mx/

We are looking at the 10:30 time, which has a meet up at 10am.

Since we are worried about space in our luggage, we plan to rent the tux and a white dinner jacket from DCL

DH gets two jackets... A dressy black one and a blue one. But most of the time he will wear just a shirt and tie. (at least ties pack small)

Super Bowl XVIII just called. They would like their halftime act back.

WWTT (what were they thinking?) :confused3

Couldn't get Harley to wear the cap...little turd. ;)

Abby wasn't particularly cooperative either.

Yet look at this photo my dd managed....

pirate: a true skallywag....

I also tried on a formal that I liked at Macy's, on sale for $79, but it was too big. YAY...I mean shucks...it was a pretty dress. I have my princess dress, but I would like to get something new for the other formal night. I have a closet full of dresses if I don't find anything new. I also want to get a new little black dress for semi formal since I am so over the one I have now - it's pretty, but I've worn it a lot.

LALALALA don't talk to me about formals... i have nothing.....

I might be able to cut down one of my old ones though....

I don't think i'd better buy anything though until June or July for my own sanity.

We would be needing size 8 in suits and/or tux for DS, if anyone has outgrown ones.

Hello Paula - I booked mine through a different website: http://cabosanlucastours.net/Wild-Canyon-Ekopark.htm
I am not sure what type of group rate they will offer you, but I did notice that the base price of the tour on your link is $85 for all ages. The tour that I booked was only $76.50 for adults and $67.50 for children 10 and under. Do you think that they are the same excursion?
