So I assume the updated artwork worked ?????

Now, that's a good assumption. :lmao:

I didn't have a chance to call him last week like I intended - I was travelling all week for work. So, I had it on my to-do list for tomorrow. But, he beat me to the punch, and called me right after the game finished. He wanted to know what address to ship them to. Turns out he was at a Super Bowl party hosted by my parents.

I asked him about the new artwork and he says the black shirts look really good. I can't wait to see them.

He said that if anyone wants red - we'd have to do that same modification to the artwork. Nope, (said I), anyone who wants red can live with a black or white outline.

He's going to get me all the different sizes he has available. The adult sizes are a no brainer - it's the kids sizes that I need the information on. He said he'd email that to me next week.

Once I have that - and pictures of the new samples, I can finish up the pre-order site to get a count on the number of shirts.

Though, I probably won't open the doors for the preorder count until - Oh, April. If we get it too early - it won't be as accurate a count.

So, things are moving along nicely.

I hope Cheryl and John made it to their train OK - It is a miserable morning here in the Chicago area. Nearly all the schools are closed (including my DS8's) and they are reporting the roads are awful. It is supposed to continue snowing until lunchtime. Total accumulation is supposed to be between 6" to 12" depending on where you are. DH and DS are out shoveling right now. looking out the window (yes, I'm lazy and letting them do it! :lmao: ) it looks like we have about 7"-8" here. I'm betting my DF will be calling any minute to tell me NOT to come into work (one of the big plusses of working for Dad - he doesn't want me to drive in this type of stuff! :thumbsup2 )
Pamela

Have a safe trip and a fun weekend!

Woohoo! Thanks for the info, I think I'll bite the bullet and book the transfers through DCL.

Those who get behind........................get left behind....

I am back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did anyone do anything else but post on the board this weekend.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This will be groundhog!!! I have over 600 posts to catch-up on.

Thanks Esteri!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks for the link Mike! They are really beautiful, but which one should I pick? Decisions Decisions!

I will be purchasing a new one for DS, since he's grown like a weed this year.

OK, I haven't been around for a while. Why do I need a tiara?? What'd I miss?

Say... what size is that tux? I happen to be in the market for a couple of boy sized tuxes.

On pirate night I did rum, lots and lots of rum
On Mexican night I did tequila, lotas and lots of tequila
On Tropical night I did..lots of .rum and tequila mixed in a punch?

Ewwwww. No wonder you don't remember anything.

One more thing regarding your schedules and DisneyLand Meet........

Sorry, can't make it. :sad2:

After much discussion this weekend, DH and I have decided to focus on being debt free by this time next year (except for the mortgage) so that we can more easily move into a new (and larger) home (on acerage) next summer. The good news is that all the currently planned fun stuff (the TOAL!) is still on. But unplanned stuff is out. Sigh. Sorry I'll miss you guys.

Will send the shirt samples to the Capt'n so that you can see them. Then, he'll have to send them on to - Chicago? Isn't there a meet there later in March?

Last cruise, DH wore a tux and DSs wore suits for formal night. This time I am getting (or renting- haven't decided) tuxes for the kids. I'm going with 2 long formals (1 princess-ish) and a cocktail dress for semi-formal, DH and the boys will wear suits for semi-formal. I'll probably also wear the cocktail dress to Palo, unless those 2 nights are back to back.

And DH is still in mess dress, right? We can't be missing out on our arm candy... :thumbsup2

Tuesday I am presenting my first oral argument to the Ohio Supreme Court. I have been there before as "second chair" but first time to stand up and take the heat. I will be so glad when Tuesday is over. I have two more scheduled in March but getting the first one out of the way is the big thing right now.

Go get'em Nicolas!!

I've been watching Puppy Bowl IV instead...much more entertaining.pug: :dogdance: :dog2: :dog:

We were watching the "Toilet Bowl" on DIY. (Bathroom remodels) DH did tune in for the last part of the game though. And I watched the last 5 or so minutes - which were pretty darn fun.

When you are thinking about what DCL will be doing in each port, sea days, time changes, etc. remember that on the website, courtesy of Roger and others, there is a recap of the "virtual cruise" that we had on the old thread. On each day there is also the Navigator for that port or similar port, sea day, etc.

There's a virtual cruise? Sheez. I'm so behind. :sad2:

Here's Harley's graduation picture again. Not sure why they aren't showing up.:confused3

How many pirates does it take to change a lightbulb?
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
None, because they just stand around ARRRrrguing about it!

Wow, someone actually recommending these two. All other reports I've heard advise to stay away.

Well actually I was just trying to be helpful. Although I like the dessert at Tillie's it was the old witch ......er waitress that I could do without! :rotfl2:

Well in perusing the other threads, found some notes from the mods - we will be closed down in approximately 64 pages. Anyone in a rush to get there? No fluff now.

Who's going to start the next one? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Groundhog alert!!!

Groundhog_scared.gif

I scanned my old slides from my wedding. Just a few as FIL was snapping some for his own. Speaking of cakes. I hated the traditional sponge cakes and opted for a chocolate rum cake. Yes Captain RUM. Here is the pic I have and mind you this was in 1969. We were just babes.Tiers and all and yes, my hair was back and up. I don't think I would've liked it down but it took about an hour to comb that do out.

I love the picture!!! You both haven't changed a bit!!:rolleyes1

Hi Everyone...I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Have been very tired and we took a little trip to WDW last week to celebrate ending chemo - that didn't help that  . I got my procrit (sp?) shot yesterday and that seems to help quite a bit once it kicks in. However, I got some wonderful news yesterday that raised my spirits immensely.....

My tumor has shrunk to the point of being undetectable on the MRI I had Monday :cool1: :cool1: . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. They are really amazing!! I have a surgery date of Feb 15th. I had to make some pretty big decisions about all that yesterday, but I think I have made the right choices for myself.

I am soooo hapy for you!!! :dance3: :dance3: Your choice is always the right choice!!!:thumbsup2

Between Cheryl and Tom, I'm getting a bit concerned about the TOAL. What kind of diversions are we going to experience?

Just a slight disaster or two!!!!

Hey!

Well, ok......

Double Hey!!!!

Actually, now that you mention it, it is BOTH Toms, but I think we meant Tom31B at that instant . . . wow, put Crash in the equation with Tom and Cheryl and we are going to need a lot of good karma from the rest of us to have smooth sailing!:goodvibes

Did I ever tell anyone that when I went through some locks before(about a 60 foot drop) on a friends yacht....the boat ended going through the lock backwards??? :rolleyes1
Seems like I have a tendency to make trains and ships go backwards!!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OOHHH OOOHH! Can't believe I forgot to mention this - has anyone had the pleasure of tasting a Naughty School Girl?

Isn't the ship itself a REALLY BIG target:rolleyes1

;)

I hope not!!! :scared:

Key word in that sentence (and I mean it lovingly) is SHE.
She gets them because she demands them.
Moving it forward to try to remember....

Does this mean I am slightly demanding!!!:lmao: (in a lovingly way):rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Not very good. Almost went back to the group home this weekend. He's staying with his uncle instead.

Monica what can I say again!!:flower3: Just hang in their.

We are having a princess night on one of the formal/semi-formal nights. You need gloves too! ;)

Say... what size is that tux? I happen to be in the market for a couple of boy sized tuxes.

Sorry I already gave it away to another Dis'er. :guilty:

;)

Hey - anyone relate to this?

instantpirate.jpg

Sadly....yes! :goodvibes

What sizes do you need ....We have two tuxes that cant be used cause Destin has grown out of them ....

pirate:

How many formal nights are there? Do I need two formal dresses and one semi formal? Are most of the men renting tuxes for the formal nights? Do they still need to bring a suit for the semi-formal night? What about the kids - does anyone plan to rent a tux for their son? Do the boys still need to bring a suit for the semi-formal? I’ve never been on a cruise where there has been a formal night, so I really know nothing:confused3

Firstly, don't stress about semi and formal nights. It is optional whether you "dress up" or just wear a nice outfit. We won't be dressing formally, our trip is for 4 weeks so no way are we taking "dress up" clothes. We'll be wearing tidy pants/skirt and a nice top for all meals.

In my past experience, many people dress formally but probably just as many don't. Most children just wear polo shirt and trousers for the boys and summer dresses for the girls.

We are looking to try and visit the Queen Mary when we are in California but drawing a blank regarding how to do this without hiring a car. Is there anyone that can give us ideas please. We are staying at the Grand Californian from the 15th and thought we may do this instead of visiting the parks for a change.

Bren

We did this in 2005 and were there all day - it was very interesting and we didn't quite finish all the exhibits. We had a rental car so I'm not sure how else you would get there other than by taxi.

Re: Queen Mary tours

I've found 2 tour companies that have local pick ups in the Anaheim area. I'm sure there are more. But I don't see a tour to Long Beach and the Queen Mary at all.

Many thanks for the info. Difficult one wondering whether to hire a car at the airport just for the day and visit on the way to the hotel (bit out of the way but never mind).
Would appeciate any information that is available.

We are flying into Las Vegas and just wondering what shows are available in August there - last time we did Siegfried and Roy and that was incredible.Anyone else there before the cruise?

That's a new one on me. Couldn't even find it in my bartending bible. Did find a Naughty Angle though....3oz white chocolate liquer and 1oz 151 Bacardi.

So what's in a Naughty School Girl?
