We are also in the middle of getting an IEP in place which will take him out of this school, that may be why they are letting him slip by.

My tumor has shrunk to the point of being undetectable on the MRI I had Monday . I am so very grateful to all the Dr's and nurses who have taken care of me in the last months. They are really amazing!! I have a surgery date of Feb 15th. I had to make some pretty big decisions about all that yesterday, but I think I have made the right choices for myself.

Both my kids are straight A students and although they may have some catchup to do - I think they will be ok. Of course I know some may not agree with this decision and thats fine.. I think the memories will outway any extra work we need to do.

Good for you. I have always taken my kids out of school for vacation - I am a teacher! I feel that if kids are doing well and the work can be made up then why not. You are right, the memories will outweigh and extra work! Glad you guys could work it out!

There are quite a few nice restaurants at Downtown Disney, or there is the vineyard one in DCA, Napa Rose in the Grand Californian or the Blue Bayou right in DL.
