POST SUMMARY 5501 - 6000:

- The stress of trying to book this cruise begins at 6:23 am on 1/31/07.
- Pirates gathered supplies of protein bars and caffiene to take on the DCL phonelines.
- Pirate children were being pushed out the door with a bottle of milk, a box of cereal and the words "You know how this works! Now scram!"
- 8 am and the madness began. Shock with prices online and unbelievable hold times. Prices started rolling in.
- Mary nabbed a deal for a room for 2 adults & 2 kids at $ 4,006,748.21!!!
- Lots of people waiting on the phone a LONG time. Resies are coming in slowly from the phone & online.
- The pirates were ready to rally and kill the beast themselves!
- Someone booked the Roy Suite!!! PARTY TIME!!!
- The beast was killed finally and the Tiki room party took over.
- Sk8 has lost it...There are 563 days 'til we sail. That means I am paying the low-low price of just $12.10 a day to hang out with a bunch of pirates for the next 18 months!- Prices jumping higher & higher every hour.

So seriously....

Did the groundhog see its shadow today??

Chrissie

Jimmy the Groundhog from Sun Prairie did NOT see his shadow! Early spring in Wisconsin! Good thing because it looks like we're on track to set records for total season snowfall :scared1:

Tracy

Lisa - like Paula said - just a little :tink: and pixiedust: to ensure you come with us!

that, and I got some pixie dust for the 1:00 pm zipline. I never heard back after two requests. I figured they could not respond for what ever reason. So, I cc'd my work email address & heard back the next day. :woohoo:

Fantasmic is Saturday the 16th of August before the Toal were still doing BB in March

Geez Stace , get it together will ya ...its not like you have had surgery on your leg, your hubby lost part of his fingers and your daughter is getting married or anything ...geeezzz you act like you got stress or something ...:rolleyes1

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello.

My DH Rick and I will be cruising with you all in August. I did say hello on the last thread, but it was so established I got lost in all the discussions that had already taken place. We're flying over from the UK on 15th and staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

We've done quite a few disney cruises - we sailed with some of you in September 2006 on the 11 day and most recently in October with a great bunch of Dissers, some of which are also on this trip.

Can't wait to be sailing through the canal. We've made our decisions on excursions and I've signed on to the website, so I think we're all set until the 90 day point. We're on deck 6 but no room number yet.

Anyone heard anything about Yellow Fever Vaccinations - are they required by DCL?

Anyway...hope to join in with the chatter over the remaining 7 months.:)

Hello from another Brit! We too are staying at DLH, but fly out 13 August - maybe we'll bump into you before the biggest adventure of my life starts!

Celestine

You forgot the part about my son and I both having staph infections and the kid getting his science project confiscated by the Scottsdale Police Department and his Dad being threatened with 25 years for the federal offense of letting him build said science project.
Nah...no stress....

Now someone tell me I can go to Fantasyland and live there!!!

:tinker:

By the way smarty-pants...you'd better watch your back in March. I don't get mad. I get even!;)

um, did we hear this story ? I'm intrigued. ya gotta tell it now.

Diane, that stinks.

Thanks Lisa...yes it does stink like carp! If you read the email he sent me that I posted earlier, it completely contradicts what he was quoted in the newspaper. According to many parents I spoke with, he typically has a "it's not my fault" response. Oh well I will be finding out on Feb. 13th what the final decision is....until then I will be keeping my fingers, toes, eyes & anything else I physically can crossed. ;)

:cool1: Awesome:goodvibes
We'll plan something as we get closer and more people have their plans set. We were hoping to get away without renting a car, but if it looks like we'll need one we can adjust:cool2:

We're driving over from Phoenix in a van large enough for 5 women and their luggage...but I'm not sure when we'll return it...before dinner or after.
I'd planned on going to the Ports Of Call Village...it's pretty there. And I think (not 100% sure) we can get transportation from the hotel to it.

The ship will be on local time, it will adjust by an hour out of LA, before Cabo. (Last time it was forward one hour on LA Night before the sea day).

It seemed to me that we changed our clocks more on the Mexican Riviera than we ever do in the Caribbean. It felt like we did it every other day.

We will only miss 2 days of school and my dd will miss "meet the teacher" day. I know she won't have much work to make up, if any. My ds will be starting 8th grade, so he will surely have some to make up.

That is a great tip about having the backpacks ready to go and clothes all laid out before we leave. I'll also have to make sure I have something to pack for lunches that can't spoil while we're gone. Oh, and I wonder if I can pay my school fees before we go?

oh man, lunches? Thank God for you guys keeping me on the ball. I think I'll let them buy lunch. But, we'll need snacks.

OK -- please explain what he did for a science project!!!!!

He made two "silencers" for a gun. :sad2: Apparently, it's not illegal to own one, use one, or buy one...but it IS illegal to MAKE one without a permit.
Who knew?? :confused3 But his teacher told him he could do it, so as far as we're concerned, she's the responsible party. If anyone's going to jail (but no one is) it would be her.

The beast was killed finally and the Tiki room party took over.

One of the funniest quotes from the 31st of last year ...I think on that day most of us wanted to kill the beast ..LOL :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
