Anyone looking to maybe doing this not with DCL?? Maybe get a group of our own ??? Is there any interest?? Maybe we could get one of the early times before Disney gets them ...

pirate:

Matt also wants to swim w/dolphins (I do too) - we dock at 9am - how early do you think we could be there?

FASTPASS TIP = Many people, even DL and WDW veterans, don't know this. It's more so at DL than WDW, but, you do not have to use your Fastpass in the exact timeframe printed. You cannot get in the FP line any sooner than stated but you can return ANY time after, even later that evening. Often we will collect up our Fastpasses and just get in the standby lines early in the day. Later, when crowds are bad, we get to ride all the E-ticket rides because we 've saved up our FPs.

I've never had a problem using a fast pass after the time alloted at WDW either. :confused3

I wish I took a picture of my cat when the guy with the guitar was screaming:lmao: Totally freaked the cat out:lmao:

Stace, There were some good singers:goodvibes My DD especially liked the girl that sang the Nora Jones song

That made no sense to me though, because she sounded exactly like Nora Jones & didn't they complain shortly after because the girl sounded too much like Celine Dion & that they shouldn't imitate anyone but find their own sound?

mmmmm, cold tile floor....

Mmmmm I was going to say that too, but I think I'm already getting a rep. :lmao:

Oh yes , and the nice cold porcelain bowl cooling your head too
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
pirate:

Uh that too!

Todd, I agree it will probably be a little crowded. That tour sounds fun, but it is a bit pricey for my blood:)

I'm looking into a Group Hollywood Area Limo/bus Tour on Sat. morning for about 4 hours which should give us all afternoon to enjoy the parks. As soon as I get some prices I'm going to ask Tom if he would so kindly post it on the website for anyone to sign up. I know of a few here that are definitely interested, but I'm scouting around for the best price!

I was just over checking on the DISign board and RumblyTumbly got yours done! Very cute!!!!!

I had her make some for my last cruise!!! She is a sweetheart to do these. I only wanted to make one magnet but how could I resist not making several.!!!

Hi Everyone! Just finished the daily "ketchup" - only about an hour, so not too bad :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Cheryl - you and the other super-shopping ladies can be proud of me! My mother dragged me out shopping today and I survived 2 hours of shopping and trying on stuff :rotfl2: :cool1: I am totally exhausted, but did get some really good bargains. I bought 7 tops at Carson's for $67 and a dressy skirt and top at Von Maur for $61. I have no idea how you manage to shop all day - I'm totally wiped out and will probably have to go to bed early tonight!

I tried on over 20 "formal" dresses (not floor length since I think I look dumpy in long skirts - I'm too short) and didn't find a single one that I liked. If I don't end up finding a new dress, the skirt and top I bought will be OK for a formal night.

Oh yes - I "saved" $95 at Carson's and $54 at Von Maur (Not that I would EVER pay full price at either store!)

Pamela

Saving lots of money is hard work!!!!!!!!;) :lmao: :lmao:

Good reminder:thumbsup2

Now I'm worried a bit about our flight back from Orlando to Dulles on Sept 1st with Air Tran:eek:
Andrew's first day of high school is Sept 2nd and we have a 1:45 pm flight on Sept 1st. I'd really hate for him to miss the first day of high school:confused3

Hoping our flight doesn't change too much:rolleyes:

The first day is exciting, but it is better to miss the first day than the last day of high school. . . .LOL

Although we did have to wait for a flight for a few hours one time in Orlando, we've never had another challenge getting from Orlando to Virginia

Have a super night

OK- Which one of of us admits to posting this on CC?: :)

I have a question about the Walmart and Sams. Do they take Walmart gift cards for payment or should we plan to get some pesos? Same with Sams and does Sams sell Alcohol? Is it cheaper than getting it in Calif? Also, how far from the dock are these? Is it walking distance with packages or is transportation needed? Sorry so many questions, but we will be docking there in August on our Panama Canal cruise and we were wondering about this. Many thanks for any help

Here is the response:

cannot answer for sure about gift cards, but as far as alcohol is concerned both Sams and Walmart have a pretty good selection. However, because of the Mexican taxes, the prices are more than you would pay most places in the states and certainly more than the duty-free on a ship. The only good prices are on Tequilia and other booze products made in Mexico. Both Sams and Walmart are located right across the street from the Marina and within walking distance with packages. Its probably about the same as a 4 block walk (although you can almost throw a stone from the ships to Sams) because the only exit from the port is on a side street.

Any reason you asked?

I just took a lood at first page now!!! I am very impressed.:worship:  :worship:  :worship: :worship: :worship:

I looded too!

Laura.....have you guys had any problems with Rock Band? My sister's kids got it for Christmas and they have already had to send the guitar back. My brother said he has read several reviews of instruments breaking. He said it was a lot of fun, though.

Don't remember where, but I read there were multiple problems.

I just noticed that we're supposed to leave Cabo at 4:30pm - doesn't give us a lot of time !!!!

If you start early what is the difference.:rotfl2:

:yay: :yay: :jumping1:

Hooray! Another Superwoman joins the new and improved legion of Supersale Homosapiens! Cheryl - I see you managed to talk Pamela into coming into the light? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You go Pamela!

Is it going into the light or going into the red!!!(saving too much cost a lot of money)

Hi Guys,

Bad Andy here...........

When the old thread was removed and the new started I was very busy with the 10/24/09 thread and getting ready for the DCL House Party. By the time I came across this new thread it was already moving at the speed of light and I lurked on it from time to time, but I just couldn't keep up, so I didn't bother posting.

Anywho, we had a GREAT time at the DCL House Party Saturday night. We were the first ones to arrive at 7pm and the last to leave around midnight. The hosts of our party "allears" did an amazing job as you will be able to see with the link below of the pics I took. The food spread was AWESOME!!!

During the DCL DVD that was sent in the party boxes I noticed a segment that was filmed during our August 2006 cruise. The segment showed my mom and I walking behind Rick Adams the DVD MC just as the ship's horn was sounding. We all got a chuckle out of that, the party host even ran the DVD back so we could see that part again......

I read everything on the DCL house party thread!!! Looks like you had a great time. Make sure to save time for us!!!!:rolleyes1

One tequila, two tequila, three tequila - MORE!:lmao:

I like your way of thinking!!!:worship:

Plenty of time to have 2 or 3 or maybe 10 shots ....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

pirate:

That could be my only excursion.:rotfl:

What time does Sammy's open?

Do you read minds???:confused3

WOW, hope you make it in time.
We have some info meetings this Friday and next Monday.

We went to one last Tuesday. Kind of scary - it's seems like I was just yesterday going to a meeting for him starting Preschool. They grow up so fast.

Another tip is that the FASTPASS machine for Roger Rabbit was running on a separate FASTPASS system (need to check that one out - again), also the CA and DL machines are not linked so you can go get FASTPASSES over in CA as well. I think they've removed the FASTPASS from Indy. Anyone heard when Toy Story Mania is opening in CA?. Hope it's before we go.

I always forget about RR since I hate that ride, so it doesn't benefit me that it's disconnected.

Grizzly River Run at DCA is also disconnected.

Disconnect = you can get a fastpass at any time because it is not connected to the rest of the fastpass network.

Indy still has FP. All I've heard about Toy Story is Summer so I don't know if it will be open or not.

Here's a great write up on how to maximize FP

Angelina is driving us nutso trying to select the "perfect dress" for the Senior Prom as well............:rolleyes1

Hope you are enjoying the "perfect dress" hunt, just rememeber the next big one will be the wedding gown;)

I was going to say - the same thing Paula - Also, Windsor is great for having their clearance specials in January. Also, "Limited" (the store) is clearing up their final sales. DD got a $100 dress for $15. She usually tends to stock up on formals in January - AND I have no idea where she got that habit from. Charlotte Russe also clearances out and they are probably nationwide I think. Good luck - mine drive me nuts and they don't have anything special to celebrate. Hope Angelina finds the perfect dress. BTW, Andy - she hasn't seen the new Disney line of wedding dresses has she? :rotfl:

When the cruise ships pull in ...or pretty close

Lookie that - they are our time schedule! :lmao:

Either that or their saying - lookie here - the gringos are in town - time to go to work. (not meant to hurt anyone's feelings!)

I have to look to see what the other stuff is at port. (Believe it or not i haven't look at excursions list yet.)

OH THANK GOD! I thought I was the only one! :worship: :worship:

YES but can you say that you have taken your DH shopping and gotten some fabulous jewels and he doesn't even remember saying yes. That is when you have achieved Supersale Superwoman status. Just as Mark.:rotfl2:

See previous quotes answer. Kinda how the jewels happened. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Laura - I remember from the other thread - MARK SAID he was going to get you another one. Remember - I :worship: to you - your very good! My hats off to you! I'm your proof! (Not that you need any I'm sure) :yay: :yay: I remember! ;)

Hey Pshhhhhh! (I wish we had the sounds from chat!)

Heh Heh Heh - flushed you out of hiding. I knew I'd get you on that one. But I promise - no more singalong.

We're flying in on the Friday before the TOAL. I expect to get in later in the afternoon. As of right now we're planning to do DL on Saturday.

1. Can I get a giant rice krispie treat on main street?

2. Last time we were at the world we could not ride the three mountains because space mountain was down. DS10 was very, very disappointed. So, what's our best strategy for riding the three mountains @ DL, on a Saturday in August?

Yes I know that you can get a rice krispie treat on Main street I just don't remember which shop. While we are the subject of treats I found this Candies of Disneyland Blog.

Like Monica we collect fastpasses in the morning and use them before lunch or later in the day. If you start off when the park opens there is only about a 40min wait until the next fastpass issue. So collect as many as you can in the mornings. You did forget about DL's own mountain the Matterhorn which does not have a fastpass. I would grab a SM fastpass then head to the Matterhorn to ride then head to the other two for their fast passes. I will come up with some touring game plans as summer approaches. Our record is 22 rides in about 8 hours never waiting more than 20 mins.

1 = YES. In fact, if you want to get one Friday night, just walk over to Marceline's (candy store) in Downtown Disney. :thumbsup2

2 = Get there at opening, go straight to Space Mountain, grab Fastpass, get in line and ride it. (Twice if you want to). Head over to Big Thunder, ride, get Fastpass if your time for Space has already passed. Go ride Splash. You will have time to add a few other rides in between. You don't have to be too commando about it.

FASTPASS TIP = Many people, even DL and WDW veterans, don't know this. It's more so at DL than WDW, but, you do not have to use your Fastpass in the exact timeframe printed. Follow this advice pirate: s and you will have a much nicer day.

What time does Sammy's open?

The restaurant opens at 11am.

Sorry I have not been around to much since our phase II site went up. The addition of a puppy, recent illness for DW and myself (I blame Crash, the wind must have been blowing our way) we are fine now and my father being in the hospital this week. I can only shake my head on how Monica has been handling this pace for the last year. Hopefully in a week or two things will settle down.

Gee - Prayers & :grouphug: & PD - seems like everything comes at once!
My return trip to L.A. was delayed by a similar illness as Crash had.
Hope everyone gets better fast!! (Monica is one strong lady w/all she's been through!!)
