THIS is what I get for allowing life to interfere w/the DIS  I've got a system where I automatically go to the end of the thread and then read backwards. This morning was no different ... until I realized that this wasn't the thread that I thought it was :confused3 I had to go back to the first post ... when I realized that I wasn't hundreds of pages in (or out depending on your point of view). For a minute, I thought maybe you were all trying to hide from me ... and just really weren't very successful :rotfl2: Apparently, I need to pay better attention

Happy Monday pirate: Hey, anyone thought about a 200 days till all-aboard on-line event :confused3

And who couldn't forget the cardinal rule.....

Liquor before beer....never fear
beer before liquor...never sicker..

And never get so desperate or drunk that you are drinking something called monkey punch....(Just ask DH)

oh yeah and no spaghetti dinners if you're drinking afterwards.....
I wouldn't mine a smaller version of our logo though....

Kristina...........I was waiting for my marathon phone call??????????:confused3

What happened???:confused3 :confused3

Tonight I will be going to the library for cooking classes. Let me know when???

Hi everyone.......I had a productive day today - Saving my DH money by spending lots of $$ on great bargains!. Got a great deal on some clothes at Old Navy and picked up a few trinkets at the disney store. Hit JCPenney looking for a 1st communion dress for DD8 and found the perfect dress, will be great for the cruise too - it was $30 - can't beat that! We also hit Barnes and Noble and picked up the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland - makes for good bathroom reading - haha. I also picked up the Panama Canal by Cruise Ship for DH

I was looking for the Panama Canal by Cruise Ship book at our B&N, and they were out. I will probably have to order.

Congrats on the greal deal you got on your DD's Communion dress. I bought my DD's last week as well. I wanted to get a jump on it before they were all picked over. She will also wear it on the cruise. There may be several little girls in white dresses on formal night! :goodvibes

Shopping Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J.C. Penney is having a great sale today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: I am leaving now!!!!!:yay: :yay:

Wow! I guess I shouldn't have tried to do some home repairs, I come back and the thread is changed! :confused3 Now I've got to do some ketchup!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome back Tina - we had noticed you had been missing for a while! What sort of home repairs?

As long as the weather is nice enough for her to fly in...no ice or blizzards! She said yesterday when it was in the 70's here, that she didn't want to go home!

Everything is really falling into place. All the dresses are chosen, and today we sat and made the bridesmaid's bouquets. I used to be a florist, so I got roped into that.
Now to make hers....but I need much more time and thought for hers.

You'll have to share pictures here of the "Big Day". We have been married for over 15 years and I still love to look at Bridal magazines/planning books. There's a good show on the Style Network called "Who's wedding is it anyway?" I love all of that stuff. I should have been a wedding planner. Remind me of the date again......

They'll look beautiful next to my 2 boys in their first communion suits!

I must confess, I usually skip over the camera talk. I'm happy with my 2 little point and shoot digitals that I still don't know how to use all the bells and whistles.

Anyway........I was skimming through this post and found the line above. I never even thought about doing this to test a new camera. I may do this just to play around.
Although I loathe Best Buy, so I'd probably do it in Circuit City.

How curious....

... in our neighborhood the opposite prevails. The Best Buy is busy yet well staffed with decent folks. While the Circuit City has a poor location, is almost always deathly quiet and staffed by comparatively lesser qualified/ lesser motivated staff.

At any rate, I need not remind you of my fixation with patronizing Costco as much as possible? They have an amazing no hassel refund policy that extends out to 90 days for most electronics - like digicams. Just don't abuse it as in dropping it into bucket of water and you can get every cent spent back. THIS is the most extreme way of evaluating a digicam.

So... the choice is yours' now... Best Buy/Circuit City with an in-store evaluation for perhaps 5-10 minutes ... or the 89 day test drive from Costco? Choose your poison please... < wink >

Hey Tina, we've missed you:)

Thanks Paula!

Trying to get some things done and my annual January blues! Not anything major, but it has been so rough getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. Even dd has said it too! We are a pair, I get home around 5 and all we want to do is put pj's on and veg! I know that spring is coming and we have our April 27th WDW trip to look forward to.

Thanks Pamela! I have to replace the cabinets over my sink. Got them from IKEA. I've assembled one and I will need some one to help hold them up for me while I put it on the wall. It's a rail system so it should be secure on the wall when I mount them into the studs. (unlike the ones that were there!) Figured out how to cut a piece of metal though!

Uh oh..... my bad.... Can you forgive me? :worship:

I went to the gym yesterday and then a small errand and then checked me mail and oh wait i know why i distracted. I had to take the scooter :moped: down the road to the nearest gas station to fill the tank (so i could put additive to it.) I was so bundled up that i resembled Ralphie's little brother from "A Christmas Story."

I think my brain froze from just riding those few miles.

The dh drug me out to get something for the house and i had a cvs run.

I'll pm my number. Let me know what is good. We stay up until 11ish (my time- EST) I should be home from gym at 7ish.

Hey Tina!

Some have been asking where you've been? We were about to file a missing neighbor report with the DIS police. < Steady silent grinnin' > At any rate, can ya make Friday chat so we can do a grand unveiling of Secret Mickey/Minie thing? Ifnot then I suddest we post something - a list perhaps - for eveyones' reference. Well... actually I think a list posting afer friday is in order. What do ya say?

I know a lot of you all are zipping in PV. Is there any interested in Cabo? I emailed them and they will offer a group rate I just need to give them an idea of how many. Minimum age is 8 I think and the neat thing is that you can ride tandem up to 4 at a time.

http://www.wildcanyon.com.mx/monster_zips.php I was looking at the 10:30 am time and we should be back by 2.:)

First of all thank you for contacting us, yes we have groups discounts, first I need to know how many of you are so I can give you a good deal.

And for the reservation you just need a credit card number, and when you arrive you can pay at the office or at the park, no charge will be done to your credit car until you are here. If your cruise fails to make it into the port don't worry no charge will be done. Just I have to tell you, we have a 24hr cancellation policy in case you decide no to do it, but I know that won't happen ;).

Just send me the day you are arriving the time you want to do it (9:00 am, 10:30am, 12:00pm and 3:00) and how many of you are and that's it !!

Hope this information is what you needed

Se you soon for the ride of your life

good afternoon everyone! this all still seems so very weird to me...that the old thread is gone! i don't deal well with change!! LOL!
anyway, i guess i'll get used to it...
hope everyone is having a great monday. it's going smoothly here...a little too smoothly in fact! i'm waiting for the other shoe to drop...there is no school, so we have a houseful, yet here i sit at only 12:30 on the computer during naptime....i'm not sure how we managed to get them all down for nap already!! but yippee!!! now it's time to go ketchup on what i missed last nite! have a great day!!

I'll bet Roger and Crash will show up!

Adam has been keeping it on the up and up! Hhe bought a punching bag and gloves and has been exercising. The only place it could go is under our deck--so he goes outside in this cold weather and works out. He tells me it would be good for me to do also:lmao:

We have a boat rented for Cabo for fishing. It is Alan & Adam, Mark & Bobby and Chuck (Castoff's DH)--there is room for 1 more if you are interested. For 6 in the boat it will be $100 each + $13 for the fishing license. Here is the link for the boat http://www.redrumcabo.com/html/rum_runnin.html :)

tFishingfortrouble.jpg

Just goes to show what I know about fishing. The last time I saw this referred to I thought it was a FLAT $600 PER PERSON to fish. My brothers' FIL goes on regular "pilgrimages from Chicago to San Diego to catch these fishing boats for Mexican waters. Those guys seem to have gills and webbed feet when it comes to the sea pursuing fish. At any rate, they usually spend (from what I recollect) several hundred for the full day or 3/4 day (or multi-day) boats they take. So... fer me ta think the fishing thing was $600 per person seemed plausible.Obviously, this was for Cabo in Mexico and not San Diego with USA rates. I siply had not given it proper consideration. I've never fished for fish in my life. However, my spouse would interject that I've often gone fishing fer trouble with her.

.. and to her remarks I'd say I wuz really just fishing for a compliment! To which I would get her staedy withering glare.

A reminder....

For thoose discussing purchasing books on the Panama canal...

Last time DCL, gave us this book for free, one in each stateroom ,as few sea days before the crossing.

Its a good book, and maybe you do not need anything else.
