..dear pbager : i am still processing our pics...so when i can remember
how to post them again.... . the castle was beautiful, even
though it was packed christmas night. this might be of interest to
the wenches..gary sinise..was the guest narrator, dec. 24th. did i
mentioned, packed?! how's your son?.....i am guessing since you haven't
mentioned him..he's been behavin? , believe me..we know the
feeling/s. my one boy..was more interested..in getting to drive..the
rental car..then anything else...needless to say, i kept an eye on him.
that and trying out..with the msu cheerleaders....of course, like a good
father ..i did a lil' redirecting... . any michigan state fans here? ..
they had a really neat billboard...rooting their team... ,
it's a good things, you wenches..were not over @mgm..with the
players..probably would been a riot..of some shorties! [ those young
men...were really nice...even though my lil'sweetie', being a buckeye,
gave them...a pep talk ] . hey?! where's your partner in crime..
micmse? ..you know, i could've sworn...there was a lady meeting
her descriptions...sneaking on the team bus... . wanta know what
other pics..came out neat?..the ones i took out on our land..during the
leaves changed. pretty neat!

all the spanish i know..que passe? , & casa bonita.., no reasons.
just by the association. remember them, micmse? my guess...there was
no "happier cabin...than the 11-nighter, held by justm. ! dwats..i know
i should've knocked~ crash , why didn't we?


one thing i liked doing christmas day...besides..taking pics. , was going
around & wishing the workers...a merry christmas, like the gate keepers.
[ since i have worked alot christmas days, it made it easy to share. ]
i was surprised how many enjoyed working and how much they appricated
such a lil'thing. some laughed out loud.


did you see the price..on the deep sea fishing trip? wowser!
..they think all doing dcl ...are rich?...* when i lived in cocoa beach,
[ when " i dream of genie"-was on the air]....i had a friend who worked as
a deck hand....& used to go all the time..."free"....maybe its better to be
poor? excpet, you know what they say..."youth is wasted on the wrong
people"!..i guess we better ask dahuffy..after all she is only 29. ...&
talented. see her door signs? [ her lil'grumpy reminds me..of someone..

Perhaps you should take a memory card into Best Buy and shoot a few images to personally evaluate before you buy - just to validate the handling characteristics and output quality.

I must confess, I usually skip over the camera talk. I'm happy with my 2 little point and shoot digitals that I still don't know how to use all the bells and whistles.


Anyway........I was skimming through this post and found the line above. I never even thought about doing this to test a new camera. I may do this just to play around. Although I loathe Best Buy, so I'd probably do it in Circuit City.

I think if we get enough people, for an additional fee ($15 pp ??) they would pick us up at port and would also change discount to 25% instead of 15% on line discount.

I've already booked and paid for the 1pm but would be keen to share transport to the port if we can swing that too.

OK - I'll try and find some time tomorrow to make a couple versions: one with the date or somthing that identifies the cruise and one plain-vanilla version for those who might prefer that. Hopefully, Tom can post the link to them on the website once they are done.

I do like the date one, but the plain-vanilla one is nice too. I look back at my magnets that have dates and I don't use them anymore. Oh well, whatever you decide, I like both!

So last night we started looking at the kids schedule for the summer. As working (outside the home) parents, we need to come up with some combination of summer camps, day care and visiting Grandma for the summer. It is all very spendy around here, so here is my happy thought for the day: we don't have to send them anywhere for the 2 weeks of TOAL & if I subtract out the cost I would have had to pay for day care, the price DCL is charging for the kids is almost a bargain!

I agree -- if there was a prize for creativity, this would win!!!!

Loved this on the repo. Our group organized a wine tasting, beer tasting, tequila tasting, and martini tasting. Yes, I did them ALL.

It was arranged with DCL and we had our own tastings. We didn't have to coordinate with the general offerings. I'm not sure how it was done though.

This sounds like a lot of fun.

My DS (8 now, 9 at cruise time) is thrilled to be doing the zipline and is the one that talked DH into doing it. He did a zipline on his trip in December to Minnesota with my parents (part of a ropes corse) and LOVED it. I am sure he would be happy to tell your kids how much fun it is. Also, since he is very small for his age, they will probably feel if that "little kid" can do it, then they can!

Pam I will keep this in mind if they need some encouragement. I just set both up with email accounts. Once they get the hang of using them, maybe they can email your son.


Would anyone be interested in a variation on this one? I came up with the idea for our Jan 2007 cruise and one of the other DISers actually put it together. I could change the date or create it without any date so it could be used on any future cruise... Most of us on that cruise had this magnet (most printed their own and I made a couple for people who didn't have color printers) so you knew which rooms wer DISers.

I am thinking about buying some of the water tennis shoe like things from Lands End. They appear to have support but they are made for water and drain well. I am using them for the zipline and for the Aruba Jolly Pirate cruise.

I was thinking about going this route also. We're also doing the Jolly Pirate Cruise. I want something I can get wet, but, still have stability. Maybe some Teva's.

I am the exqact opposite of a shoe horse. If I own 5 pairs total I would be surprised so anything I briong has to serve multiple purposes.

I used to be a shoe horse, don't have the time or the places to go anymore. On our last cruise I brought sneakers & gold sandals from payless. I mostly wore the flip-flops I wore when we boarded the ship


My DD's 8 and 12 are coming too. We have a lot of kids in this group. Hopefully they will encourage each other to do it.


That would definitely be worth checking into.
If you think about it we should have a good count pretty soon on that excursion since we have already paid- we are going.

I see you use the same summer camp calculator as I do. Heck, I subtracted $900.00 right off the cruise price as I would have spent that money anyway.
