Welcome. My DS will be 12 on the cruise, turning 13 on Sept 6.

Gee - why didn't I remember that Trevoy's B'day is Sept - Matt's B'day is Sept. 4!!!! On my calendar now!! Hopefully we can celebrate both boy's B'day's on the cruise!!

Thanks for the welcomes. I remember there was a list on the original thread with lots of info about activities being planned. Does anyone have that info? We're traveling with young children and asked for early dining. Are there many others on early dining? Have you gotten a dining rotation yet? We'd like to try and join in on that rotation if possible.

that's about the only thing that's helping me convince him to cruise. He's going to miss out on the family reunion where we have a big cake and all his cousins are there. So we'll definitely have to have a big party on a sea day for them. I already told Trevoy I'd have the servers bring him a cake. And he is getting jazzed about dining with Captain Jack. He said he wants to be his enemy and be a British army guy. Gotta work on grandma for another costume.

Ok, went out for an innocent errand run. Stopped off at Goodwill and dropped off 7 large bags full of stuff. DS had a bunch of toys he was ready to give away. Decided to take him to Cold Stone for a treat but we passed by Levitz. Our store is going out of business. Not sure if its the whole company or just our store. Anyway, everything is 60-80% off. Just for giggles decided to see if they had any decent bedroom sets left. I've toyed with the idea of getting either a full or queen size for DS since he has now passed me up by 2 inches.

Found a nice set with a bookcase headboard and drawers under the bed. I think these are called catain's beds. It was in great conidtion, not sold yet and only $303 out the door. Saw a matching 6 drawer dress and that only added another $150. So now I've got a disassembled bed and chest of drawers in my living room waiting for DS to clear out his room more so we can fit it all in.

I should just phone you!! -- but, I think that Trevoy will get excited about the cruise after our meet in March. Give him something to look forward to and involve him in the fun.

We can swap Mardi Gras stories on the ship over a beer!!! When I was younger I had friends who owned a coffee shop in the French Quarter and lived over the shop -- they threw fabulous parties all day in their apartment and had a balcony overlooking Dauphine Street. I went several years . . .
