Not so good ...he didnt pass ...The thing that pi**es me off is that I took him yesterday and he said he was ready and missed by one , he begged to come back this morning and he woud study all night ...I said okay but if you dont pass again your on a 60 day waiting period till you can test again (not the states Law , but Captains law for not passing it twice ) ...So now he is upset , and I am happy I dont have to worry about a car anytime soon

Must be a west coast thing, because here I am all by myself again.

I kept telling myself I wasn't going to say another word about the thread "disappearing" but I never listen to anyone, even myself.

Best to skip this if you don't want to hear (what I hope is my final!) my opinion.

These Boards ARE NOT paid for by Disney...the ones with the big bucks....
The "powers that be" on the Boards have to sometimes make decisions that are good for the majority....not just a few threads.

I really don't see what the big deal is about the larger threads being closed (and even disappearing) when there are no restrictions on starting a new one.
Was anyone REALLY going to go back and read all those pages anyway??

Now is the time to really start planning for the cruise, and an opportunity to have some really pertinent information on here without it getting buried under tons of fluff.
While I enjoyed the "Pirate Runs" as much as the next person, the idea wasn't a competition to see which thread could have the most posts. If that's the case, this one already won that easily.....time to move past that.

I think this is a great chance for anyone new joining in to really be able to feel a part of the group & gather some good info from everyone here, rather than be intimidated by the post count. If they put the original thread back, then fine...if not...oh well.....

So....can we just PLEASE let it go, and move on??

Ain't that the TRUTH Paula....

It's just after midnite and Alicia is on "duty" with Kalea... an' I can hear Kalea every now and then calling out between her attempts at sleeping. She has had a HIGH fever spiking in he last hour or two - and we gave a stiffer dosage of Juvie Advil. Maybe it was a BAD thing to let her do gymnastics when I thought she was so much better... near normal .... earlier this evening. I kno... some are probably shaking thier heads from side to side at my failure here. < sigh >

Anyways, it should have been a viral infection since it was so similar to Juliannas' recent viral driven fever.

So - I guess we're waiting for the medication to kick in and help - it already has driven her fever lower somewhat.

Well, I sure hope that this is it for the year--of course we know with little one's it is very unlikely. But it is sure no fun at all when everyone is down. And you do know that as a parent you will always look back on things and say why did I do that? But it is just a part of it, we continue to learn the whole time they are growing up. Probably another reason they say that we really enjoy our grandkids--we're not always questioning ourselves then.

... at an assumed average of 309 postings a day we'd turn over the 10,000th posting (and thread) every 32 days, 8 hours and 41 minutes and 56.50 seconds. This does not account for shifts in daylight savings time, nor does it attempt to adjust for the expected surge in activity as we draw nearer to embarktion, or lull in the final few days right before embarkation.

No she isn't giving us any problems about it. She understands. In fact, she doesn't even really push to drive with us. But she does need to get it soon because she will be looking for a job.

Here I think the actual "law" is three strikes, you're out. And then they have to wait. Jordan didn't pass it the first time, so I made her wait a week. She did pass it the second time. She does really well, so I don't worry about her (except for having car trouble) but I don't even want to THINK about when it's Jared's turn!! That boy has a need for speed!

Well said Stacey!!! You are exactly right and that is why I decided to try to post here again. It has been months but I am starting to plan and I am hoping to get some great ideas.

I found that practicing in deserted parking lots and on the roads when traffic was at its lightest (early morning weekend ) was what worked for me to get comfortable driving. Also easier on my parents

Well I already warned him , since he failed it twice ..He has 60 days to learn the book inside and out , heck he should be able to tell me what page number a certain sentence is on in 60 days ...When he takes it again in 60 days and doesnt pass he will not be allowed a drivers license until he is 18 ...And at that time he can do it himself with the car he has to but with his own money he got from working a job ...
